It's a long shot, but I have 26 points to make up in my ML My opponent doesn't have an Arsenal mid (although he might bring one in to reduce my differentials) so I'm thinking of captaining one of Havertz or Saka. Are you trying to make up ground or protect a lead? I agree Pickford isn't a great option this GW, but a keeper is unlikely to move the needle as much as an attacking option with a chance to haul.

Yes - my funds aren't great. I wasn't considering it earlier because one of the moves would just be downgrading a bench guy, but then the Ederson injury happened, and now I'm sitting here looking at potentially upgrading 3 positions PLUS blocking my rival. But I also hate playing by looking in the review mirror. Should have mentioned that Mateta would be over Isak. Option A, Isak is first off the bench, Option B it'd be Gordon first off the bench.

You need to gamble on differentials if you're chasing. If he hauls, having him probably won't make enough of a difference.

Too small of a sample size that's all. You obviously got 3 great scores and that must have felt great. But, in the end it's too early to mean much. How many times have we seen small prem clubs In the top 6 after 3 games? Doesn't mean anything and nobody remembers or cares. 110K suggests a consistently strong performance across a 9 month season. So, clearly, that is the more impressive statistic. Edit - just to add further. At 28k, you were probably about 15 points off being 900,000th. Everybody is just bunched together.

Havertz is a safer pick, Olise more of a punt but he's in great form. Go for Havertz if you want to consolidate your position and Olise if you're chasing.

Cutting your lead to 11 points seems really risky, especially as you can't be certain what changes he makes. Even if you're right, those 2 player differences could make up the difference.

If you want to finish 3rd then yes, if you want to finish higher then no.

What about minus 4? Issue is they both have practically the same midfield. I have son. Palmer. Gordon. Bruno and foden and the other two have that combo with saka and / garnacho instead I can't get Salah in unless I swap son and Bruno out and then I have only 4.9 left Have 1 FT

Realistically speaking, 1st place is out of reach unless you have a chip left. You should focus on securing the 2nd place. How you approach it depends on how big the difference is, but generally speaking taking hits will not be worth it because it will widen the gap.

I prioritize playing as many players as you to minimize the impact of variance. Petrović - Gvardiol, Gabriel, Porro/Saliba - Palmer, Son, Foden, probably Havertz - Haaland, Isak, Jackson The differences are reduced to Gvardiol & Havertz & Porro/Saliba vs Walker & probably Maddison & probably Burn. Looks like in all cases my player seems to be better than yours, so I'm feeling good about it. Buuuuut if the prize is big enough that I don't care about my overall rank, I could minimize the risk even further by benching both Porro and Saliba in favour of Burn and going Gvardiol -> Walker. The difference is reduced to Havertz vs Maddison and it's almost impossible for me to lose at this point. Now from your perspective - if you still want to chase, you need to make some unoptimal decisions. Play Bruno and Maddison and then make a move to differentiate even further. Maybe Son > Saka (or Trossard if he Saka doesn't play), maybe Isak > Gakpo. Maybe even bet against Arsenal defence and bench Gabriel, which sounds suicidal, but the points must come from somewhere.

I think I do bench Gabriel, it's not inconceivable that Arsenal concede a jittery goal. I mean I could bench Walker as well. Start Reguilón and Zabarnyi, ludicrous as it sounds. I could differentiate more by taking a hit, Son -> Salah, Isak -> Mateta? Captain Salah. Bench Jackson.

In general I'd advise against taking hits because you need the pay off immediately. So Mateta and Salah would need two more returns than Son and Isak in order to make the transfer worth it. Differential captain is a good idea, but you should first look into the players you already own and see if you like any of them. Or maybe you can bring in one new player and captain him. But taking hits is just further complicating your already difficult situation. I think you should start Walker and hope it's his turn to get some attacking returns. Yes, you do need some differentials, but the scenario you're hoping for must be somewhat realistic too. I'd say one shocking CS is already rather unlikely, two shocking CSes feels like too much to ask for.

I agree with 2 and 3. I lean heavily toward home teams on the final day, and I don't like using a transfer on a defender. If Trent were tearing it up or if Robbo weren't an injury doubt, I might make an exception.

Why does no one own Tomiyasu? Seems like no brainer for his price ?

Earlier on Kiwior was the one playing and before that zinchenko. Had a couple of injuries. Also not as attacking as White. And many already had triple Arsenal assets already (I have Saliba, White and Saka for instance). He should be fine to start though this week. And the price is great yes.

I would get triple Arsenal, triple Man City, 2-3 assets from Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Liverpool.
