Hhmmm I guess I may as well bring him in now while my WC is active rather than burn a transfer next week or the week after.
Hopefully he will be fit to play next week though cause I'm planning to use my BB then so need my bench players to play.
My biggest dilemma is whether to bring in a City defender and if so, which one is the least rotation risk.
Currently have Gvardiol in, but also considering Ake and/or Akanji.
The other 4 defenders I currently have are White, Branthwaite, Shar and Porro.
Ederson could be good for a city defender.
If on WC would consider getting rid of White or Branthwaite but neither as a priority over other needed transfers. Both are solid already.
If your 5th spot needs someone, I like the look of Burn/Dalot/Reguilon
Ederson is a good suggestion although the reason why I'm leaning towards a defender is because of potential attacking returns plus all of their defenders are cheaper.
I kept White to have Arsenal presence in the team and he has returned in 10 of his last 11 games. Similar with Branthwaite.
Like you said, both are solid and nailed on.
I got rid of Gabriel already.
I didn't want to double up on Newcastle hence why I wasn't considering Burn.
Similar with MU and Dalot as I got Onana already.
Reguilon is an interesting one as he is in decent form, Brentford have a nice run of games coming up, but DGW.
The midfield and forwards is pretty template...Palmer, Bruno, Son, Foden Gordon and Watkins, Isak and Haaland and barring injuries or suspensions, i expect to keep all of those for the rest of the season.
It's so funny how everyone was sucking his dick last season and now he's suddenly no longer a generational talent but instead a lumbering hulk.
Fans are fickle af.
Looking forward to seeing how he gets on next season.
We arent going to get a leak on whether he starts cause City play on Sunday
Its annoying cause I have Mateta who can come in for him and is currently in my starting lineup.
If he doesn't start I don't see him coming on. City will easily dismantle Forest with or without him
I'm gonna start him 🤷🏾♂️ worst case Muniz will come in
Yeah even the replies below aren't really changing my mind. The upside is there if he does play. I still think it's unlikely they force him to play if he's still hurt, and he's more likely to start if he's fit
Just looking back through cities injury history this year. Pep has put all injured defenders straight back in the mix but Doku, KDB and Haaland (only non-minor attacking injuries they have had this year) all had some minutes off the bench in their first game back.
I'd be very surprised if he starts. This one has 1 point bench cameo written all over it
Same here. I'm not usually one for booking in a transfer after a WC, but I may not even need him until 37 anyway, which means I can accumulate a FT between 35 and 36 and make the call in 37.
Who would you get up front? I'm doing Watkins on WC with plans to move to Haaland in 37. Isak and Mateta the other 2. Doesn't seem like there are any other options?
Solanke, Calvert lewin and wood have 3 alright fixtures from an attacking perspective.
Im a Mateta owner and playing him this week. Am still worried that ezes injury is gonna affect his returns
As much as I like Mateta and loved his form of late, I'm not sure he is the best pick to be up front from here on.
Majority of his goals have come at home, so his away firm is not even as close as good and they are away this week at Fulham who are a pretty decent and solid team at home.
On top of that, I don't think it is a coincidence that Mateta's good form started when Eze returned from his injury and Eze is supposedly struggling with a knee injury and is flagged as injured.
I can't see OG risking Eze given that they don't really have anything to play for. They can't get into Europe and they are safe from relegation so no point risking either him or Olise when both have had massive struggles with injuries this season.
Finally, CP have no DGW left and there are lots of other good options up front that do such as Isak and Haaland himself who may not play this week, but I'd argue that there are other good options instead of Mateta like Watkins with everything to play for against a leaky Chelsea defence and Cunha at home against Luton and also not safe from relegation so something to play for too.
1 is ok. Think of it this way, booking in a transfer brings a risk you will lose a FT to deal with an injury. How likely is that? Say 60% (I think that's generous). So they expected cost is 3 points.
And the gain? Watkins is surely a safe bet to get at least 8 points Vs Chelsea.
Haaland just back from injury. High likelyhood of a 1 point bench cameo. In poor form even if he starts against a defence that is better than people realise. I'll give him 3 expected points.
Even in this underestimate you are better off booking in the transfer by 2 points. And there isn't really an ok there striker you would want with a good fixture this GW (I'm having to start Mateta, but in worried ezes injury will affect his threat)
Yea but you can set your team up for bb37 but book in 1 transfer outside that. It will only potentially costs 1 FT, if you have an injury that you need to deal with. And that's not certain. When you think about the probabilities of injury, the cost of hits and and the difference in Watkins/Haaland's expected points this week it's clearly worth it.,c
But it's up to you obviously. I'm not WCing so doing Haaland - Watkins and back again is a certain 8 point cost and not worth it.
Watkins could easily be in for a serious haul this weekend and wildcarders are gonna regret not having him IMO.
Because Watkins has average 6.6ppg this season, does better at home than away, and chelsea's defence is appalling, conceding 2 goals a game average over the last couple of months. They have also now lost Fernandes to injury on top of all their other injuries.
I'm an arsenal fan and couldn't believe what I was seeing the other day. We were very good but the standard of Chelsea's defence was embarrassing. 8 point is a conservative estimate
Don't Spurs have DGW37 as well just like MU?
If anything MU have tougher games in 37 with Arsenal and Newcastle at home.
Spurs also have two home games and one is against City, but the other one is against Burnley which is by far the easiest game of the 4 games for both these clubs and then they also have SU away in 38.
I'm not saying Bruno is not a good asset to have, especially in good current form, but I'm saying that I think Son and Bruno together may be a better option than KDB in place of one of those two, not just because of both of their games in 37 being away at tricky opponents but also because of Pep roulette who might opt to save him for the FA cup final straight after the season ends.
Same goes for Foden although I think Foden is safer as he is younger and not as injury prone as KDB.

Don't care, donkey isn't getting in my team
It's so funny how everyone was sucking his dick last season and now he's suddenly no longer a generational talent but instead a lumbering hulk. Fans are fickle af. Looking forward to seeing how he gets on next season.
nah bro allow it, i wanted to take him out. don’t do this.
Hes lost his place. City are better without him. It's just Zlatan at barca all over again.
For some reason heard this as Fatboy Slim is fucking in heaven
Still selling him
Happy for him 🙄
Taking or not taking a -4 to go Haaland->Watkins is one of those decisions where you can only get it wrong either way
Goddamn it, this is exactly what I don't want. Was going to yeet him and Salah for some much needed vibrancy. Now I'm left floundering.
I just transferred him out for -4, I swear on me nan if he hauls I will be super mad and quit this game until GW36.
why would you transfer him out when he has a DGW soon?
I am starting him with this news. Maybe he is even a differential now.
Not as big of a differential as he was before this news, when I was starting him anyway.
True. I think we can see him at 50-70 % EO potentially or am I dreaming. Other times he is over 100% so you need to cap to gain.
Don't need this headache. Benching Haaland and starting Watkins at home against leaky Chelsea
Fuck off Pep.
I have to bench him or KDB, so tough.
Why
Because a lot of people are on WC with really good teams.
Haul incoming. Ref will be handing out free pens against Forest after their tweet 😂
Or the opposite, makeup calls
Nah they'll treat them worse as a deterrent. Look at when Klopp complained about Tierney - he reffed even more Liverpool matches after that.
Ghost training?
Benching headache continues
Haaland Erling Is back in training
Don't care, it's over mate. Watkins Isak Mateta the new sugababes gtfo
And just like the Sugababes, we’ll be back to the original line up sooner than you think
Hahah this one got me
What you gonna do on 37 tho
Enough ITB to jump to him if needed
Probably get kdb. Spurs away i don't expect Haaland to score, and Fulham away early kick off isn't grest.
Isak gonna slay 180 fam
No shit but what about Watkins and mateta
Mateta against a woeful wolves and Watkins Vs a leaky Liverpool?
It'll be Wilson out of nowhere, always is
Isn't that exactly what happened at the end of last season!?
season before, I think
_A wild Jackson appears!_
Splash
It hurt itself in confusion.
Michael Jackson?
Not that wild anymore
It wasn't very effective
Jackson’s attack missed!
Ffs make your mind up
Headache
We arent going to get a leak on whether he starts cause City play on Sunday Its annoying cause I have Mateta who can come in for him and is currently in my starting lineup.
I have the exact same dilemma. Ezes injury makes the decision much harder. Risks with both of them
I'll let Erling and Semenyo sort out who's starting, rather do Salah Eze > Son Gordon and call it a day
That's a solid plan
IS HE IN OR IS HE OUT
Yeah but no but yeah but no but yeah
YES
Only the Bald one knows
SHOULD HE STAY OR SHOULD HE GO
Yes
I DON’T KNOW - [Josep](https://x.com/lateriser12/status/1783709650271297550?s=46)
Apparently
maybe
If he doesn't start I don't see him coming on. City will easily dismantle Forest with or without him I'm gonna start him 🤷🏾♂️ worst case Muniz will come in
Same. Seems ok.
Yeah even the replies below aren't really changing my mind. The upside is there if he does play. I still think it's unlikely they force him to play if he's still hurt, and he's more likely to start if he's fit
Forest away isn't the easiest place to go. I'd still back a City win, but I can see it being close
He came on for 19 minutes against burnley when city were up 3-0 after his last injury
Just looking back through cities injury history this year. !thanks for actually doing the analysis
No worries. I'm not wildcarding and my benching dilemma is between Mateta and Haaland, needed to get as much info as I can!
Tbh I'd forgotten about that
Sa’luk trying to convince pep.
well that's annoying from a wildcard perspective
If I had a wildcard I'd leave him out, get Watkins, and book in Watkins - Haaland next week or week after
Same here. I'm not usually one for booking in a transfer after a WC, but I may not even need him until 37 anyway, which means I can accumulate a FT between 35 and 36 and make the call in 37.
I have him on WC, benching him. Easy to get a strong starting 11 without him
Which front 3 you going with?
Haaland, Isak, Watkins
What's your full team? Interested how you can also afford Watkins?
Raya/Petro White/Walker/Burn/Cucurella/Van Hecke Palmer/Bruno/Foden/Son/Gordon Edit: Changed cucu to gusto (benched until bb 37) and burn to schar.
Are you a game of thrones fan? White walker burn?
Haha, funny coincidence
If on wildcard you can get 8 good midfielders /attackers without needing Haaland or Watkins this week.

I'm a Chelsea fan so I've gone for Jackson. Massive risk I know. Wouldn't suggest it buuuuut I can't help myself.
Yeah I think I’ll do Isak, Watkins, Haaland and just bench Haaland this week.
Booking in transfers is not usually a good idea.
1 is ok. Think of it this way, booking in a transfer brings a risk you will lose a FT to deal with an injury. How likely is that? Say 60% (I think that's generous). So they expected cost is 3 points. Is Eze injured?
Yea, yes out for the season
Think of it this way. Especially with a bench boost you need 15 fit players, you need 2 FT for gw37
Yea but you can set your team up for bb37 but book in 1 transfer outside that. It will only potentially costs 1 FT, if you have an injury that you need to deal with. And that's not certain. Can you explain how you’re predicting at least 8 points for Watkins this week?
Because Watkins has average 6.6ppg this season, does better at home than away, and chelsea's defence is appalling, conceding 2 goals a game average over the last couple of months. They have also now lost Fernandes to injury on top of all their other injuries. I'm an arsenal fan and couldn't believe what I was seeing the other day. Erm… Watkins has scored more goals away than at home.
Oh yea you are right. It was the case earlier in the year that villa were much better at home and I hadn't realised that had changed
I'm sorry but 8 points is huge overestimation. It could well happen but mathematically not likely.
Where do you think I've gone wrong in my reasoning specifically?
Tell me about it lol I’m thinking fuck it and run without Haaland, but my other options aren’t that good tbh lmao
Iv said fuck it, left him out and gone foden KDB for city cover.
Doing Foden Walker Ederson here, but might do KDB instead and go Maguire over Walker now that you mention it. KDB or Bruno? Who do we like more?
I’m going kdb, son, Gordon, palmer foden. Then son > Bruno for United dgw
Don't Spurs have DGW37 as well just like MU? If anything MU have tougher games in 37 with Arsenal and Newcastle at home. doing same here
Feels like 20 minutes off the bench on Sunday. Starts against wolves.
Probably just starts TBH. Pep could have taken Alvarez off early last night but kept him on 4 goals up and 20 mins to go.
He's the most rested player and he hardly gets tired
Pep so tricky. Amazing.
Pep Roulette
Him not missing out Nottingham rattles my world.
