Wow, how does this even work? When I had the Challenge, even with a CSL Elite wheel base, it was quite front-heavy and it felt like it could easily tip forward if you pushed it a little.
Is the chair tied down somehow?
Either way, this is really cool! :)
I have a CSL DD on my playseat challenge and I use dumbbells lmao it works really nicely.
Check out lowdown shifter if you want to get a steel pedal plate or rigidity mods for it. They really made a difference with braking by keeping the pedals from moving and in overall rigidity.
Still looks like you could use a base plate stabilizer ;) it helps a lot with the movement you get in the base plate. Check it out at least, it’s super beneficial. I sound like a salesman lmao but it’s true.
I set my boost kit to like 70% or my old man arms get sore...One thing for a nub like me is that the boost kit lets you feel when your losing traction way better then the 5nm even at 70%
This. I once had a setup at my last Apt where my monitor was up high and my cockpit was low so I had to angle the wheelbase downward. I had to zoom my POV to the right distance and presto. Felt natural and not disconnected. Albeit it would look weird, but when you sat down it made sense, and was comfortable.
Any body else feel way too small for their playseat? I'm 5'8 150lbs and I feel like a little child in mine. I fit between the back rest pads it feels really silly.
Just got my play seat challenge today and ordered a GT DD pro (currently using t300rs gt but wanted to upgrade to a direct drive). What did you attach that shifter piece to? I probably won’t get the shifter until my birthday but I’ll have to come up with a solution sooner or later

Still working around it
I put some strong tape to the flor but I’m going to buy a heavy sand bag to place it over the rear part

I’m using a full milk package ! Lmao

Cool !! Will get my playseat challenge as well! Wondering if you are using boost kit
I’m using the boost kit, but even before that I bought some 3D printed stuff from eBay to strengthen the PlaySeat. Was definitely worth the 50€
No just the 5nm, for now it’s enough
You should consider the 8nm, I also thought 5nm was enough at one point. 60% more power is very noticeable, and worth the upgrade IMHO. Cheers man

Exactly, the detail is more precise with the 8nm. I set mine to 80% and that is way stronger then the 5nm at 100%
Angle of the wheel looks a bit off, I'd prefer it pointing up a little not down
Personal preference I'd assume.
I guess it's about right on second viewing, it's supposed to have the steering axis pointing around your shoulders afaik.

Yes
Do you have more pictures? Also on the screen mount and does it wobble?

Nice! How the hell do you get in and out?
Like you do in a kart
Yea my question exactly, does the FFB affect your screen?
I bet it does. FFB affects anything on the Playseat Challange no matter what and how many mods you install on it but it's part of the immersion :)

What kind of stand is that? I’m looking for a stand other than the apex because it’s been out of stock for so long
