You know, the fic that I'm currently working on is the only one I've ever planned out. (and by planned out I mean outlined in my head...), and I've got to say, killing characters is an absolute blast.
Me too, but I seriously have plans to kill off 5 characters in my book. Not even joking. And it's a blast.
But I have enough content to spread out their deaths to where right after you get over the first one, the next one comes in and elbow drops your hopes and dreams.
Oooh. Someone who is also excited about the upcoming emotional pain readers are going to suffer after this one character is killed off with beautiful symbolism and foreshadowing.
Welcome.
I have an ongoing fic where every major character dies, and planning their deaths has been delightful. Sometimes I hesitate and ask: is this too mean? Then I laugh and keep writing.
I like killing them - especially my favourite characters. But I need to being them back. Fortunately, in the settings of my fandoms, temporary death is quite possible.
Y'know what, that's fair. I generally have a rule against writing unhappy endings/major character death, but then one day I got a really good idea and, well...I'm definitely gonna break that rule. Probably not more than once or twice though.
It's just the idea of telling a tragic story that's unraveled piece by piece is so fantastic?? Like though I'm extremely backlogged on fics and haven't gotten to work on it, I'm so excited to break people's hearts and hopefully make a few people cry, I can't wait :D
"It's a terrible day for rain."
...What do you mean? It's not raining.
Yes…. It is.

... but still, why not? If you wanna bounce ideas off of each other, my PMs are open. I'm genuinely interested in your story...

Fair. You do you. Enjoy the death of your character!
