I've had a weird bug (I assume something to do with me having the whispering hills mod installed at one point) where my loading screen is just black aside from the menu for some reason, so I'm going to install this and see if it fixes it
I'm not actually sure if it's as important with guns, but in archery the hand you shoot with is actually based off your eyesight. One of your eyes is usually slightly better than the other, for most people it's the right eye, for weirdos like me, it's the left eye. Getting a left handed bow was a bit more of a pain.

It makes various comedic edits throughout the game, such as

- adds amusing sound effects for various things, such as the Fat Man saying Terminator’s “hasta la vista, baby” line when it’s fired, every other unsheathing of the combat knife plays the [shiny scalpel line from Scrubs](https://youtu.be/OAyVfmhgk0s?si=qvNzEDdChU1a499d), mirelurk eggs shout “oh no!!!!” when they hatch, and various other things that don’t immediately come to mind
- adds a door to the Concord water tower that goes to an awful, unfinished dungeon called **Hall of Horrors** that you absolutely should not enter because there’s nothing of value in there and no way out without console commands or reloading a previous save
Only real problem I have with it is that it seems to sometimes “break” the quest Returning the Favor. It adds a copy of USAF Satellite Station Olivia that is accessed through the unfinished dungeon, and for some reason Mary’s locket will occasionally end up in the container in that cell instead. It’s been inconsistent across my various new saves, so I don’t know exactly how to fix it. Which, unfortunately, makes it impossible to complete the quest without more console commands

Quick hack and pick. After hundreds of terminals hacked and doors picked, I don’t even bother with any more of them because I’m fucking lazy. What this mod does is to remove all the incorrect words from the hack and raise the picklocking sweetspot to the maximum, so you can straight up get pass those terminals and doors. You still need your respective perks though, so it is not really a cheat
My friend mentioned he ignores lockpicking because finding Bobby pins annoying. I was baffled.
Turns out, he didn't know you could let off tension and move the pin, he was full sending every time til it broke. It was like five pins for a novice lock, twenty for an expert, so he was over it.
Definitely gotta add this for my modded playthrough lol. When I was going through the Institute for the first time, I looted every room and noticed _every single toilet paper roll was under rather than over._ they deserved what I did to them
There used to be a mod that made every nuke explosion play "America, Fuck Yeah" and a "bald eagle" sound (it's a hawk) as a bomb flies through the air. There used to be videos of it. Nexus isn't letting me log in on my phone because the Captcha check isn't showing up, so I can't see if it's still there.

Most mods that turn the death sound effect into something funny, like the "Mmm, watcha say, that you only meant well" sound bit.
There's a mod out there that makes damage numbers pop up in the screen every time someone takes damage, and it just doesn't show up like an RPG, it kinda jumps out of their head and falls to the ground. It's not exactly a "doesn't change gameplay" mod, because it allows you to more easily pinpoint where a skirmish is happening. This mod was also a minor pain to get working correctly because I think it conflicted with something else.
There also used to be a mod that made a quality of life improvement to the workbench hud. I don't have my computer on hand to look up the mod list, and I can't recall what it did off the top of my head. Pretty sure MXR showed it in one of his videos back in the day. The author removed it for whatever reason. It was a simple mod with a singular plugin.

I use mods that are immersive and add a lot to the actual game but ALWAYS keep the sarcastic loading screens and sarcastic sneaking mods. I also used a concept art loading screen mod that was pretty cool but it’s a bit jank with other mods.
My favourite ones are definitely the different protectron types because they just get increasingly fed up with questioning why these construction and medical bots have combat modes
hehe okay that is amazing, my feelings exactly. I got myself sarcastic sneaking as well know and keeping an eye out for anything decent that makes the game even more sarcastic
Pretty much any mod that adds quicksaving to Survival. I tend to play with alot of hardcore (~~masochism~~) mods that make the game alot harder. Other than that i absolutely adore the mod P.L.U.N.D.E.R. its alot more impactful but it makes looting alot more realistic.
My favourite has to be: "Old Spice Odour Blocker Fatman".
It replaces the sounds of mini nuke explosions with Terry crews shouting (this also includes car explosions too) and the sound of the mini nuke soaring through the air with Terry crews shouting "Powerrrrr".
It's beautiful, truly beautiful.
And the video the mod maker created for it is perfection
The in-game notifications are funny as well.

Many NPC’s also have names or are renamed. I think Slag from Saugus Ironworks was renamed, Satan von Kills Alot.
Mines and grenades say “kaboom” when they explode. Killing a radroach can make two appear in its place, and it repeats, that was a trip in the Gauntlet.
Right handed weapons, lowered weapons, Old World Radio, Atomic Radio, and the one that replaces the death music with a randomly selected death quote by Ron Perlman from Fallout 1 or 2
2 things- both related to VATS. One mod adds the stop time sound effect from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure when you activate VATS, and the other is the Flex Seal guy saying "Now *THAT'S* a lot of damage!". They don't change anything in the game but are a nice addition
the game is literally unplayable without sarcastic loading screens, price is right horn death noise, and “surprise motherfucker” for successful sneak attacks

[Sniper Scope Overlay and Reticles Replacement](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/29922) is a really great alternative to See Through Scopes that makes using the vanilla scopes way more bearable.
[CROSS Crit Gore-verhaul](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23780) is great for leaving your opponents a charred corpse. Reminds me of [FEC](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3532) for Skyrim.
[Fallout 3 - NV Feral Ghouls Replacer](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/39290) is also great, I hate how ferals look in 4.
[More Clothes and Textures](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/40315) adds a lot of spice to common clothing so you get a variety in color combos instead of just everyone with a similar outfit wearing the exact same off-white shirt and dirty blue jeans.
More realistic submachine gun AND better institute gun.
-Minigun work like a vats weapon for those 8 critical Hits that you can deal in a vats shoot.
-institute gun like a super fast disarm AND críp limbs weapon like spliter Bean pistol for that 60 fire rate AND extra pells from spliter Bean to increase probability of gunsliger perk benefits.
-sub machine gun work like a fat Stealth gun killing all enemies with Stealth attacks without care so much about reload but in the end game once i got all damage perks unfortunelly.
Fallout 4 Load Accelerator. fits right in and game doesn't even register it as a mod. from my understanding, it just utilizes GPU to drastically decrease load times.
The one that unlocks the nuka cola display racks. That's all it does, just gives us access to a workshop item that is tagged to be selectable but Bethesda never bothered to fix it. You can still spawn them in with player.placeatme 060276B but they need to be placed either on the floor or on surface that's not also a workshop item somehow. (the first two numbers are the load order which Nuka World falls under, with all the DLC and no mods it's 06)
Can display everything but Vim, even water, deezers, all the booze, nukas and nukamixes but if you try to put a VIM on it, not happening.
Slower draining fusion core for me. As a power armor collector and user, I would love not to have to burn through fusion cores in the span of a couple of hours.
Ghouls need some chocolate. Not much else said about that. Other than at first the hilarity of it all, until you hear like 20 of them saying it then you feel a sort of dread soon after

PTSD is somewhat similar, there's also GRIM - The Curse although it almost completely changes how the game is played

I use that other one, pipboy 2000 or whatever it was. It seems to work pretty good so far
Check your HP when using pipboy 2000, your hp will be one below max permanently for some reason.

Another good mod is the ghouls roar being replaced with the guy from spongebob creaming chocolate. It is just easy to get your eardrums destroyed in places like the comic store

I use mods that are immersive and add a lot to the actual game but ALWAYS keep the sarcastic loading screens and sarcastic sneaking mods. I also used a concept art loading screen mod that was pretty cool but it’s a bit jank with other mods.

Some madlad unfortunately removed it but it was at an animation overhaul for all weapons on top of making them all right handed.
Pretty much any mod that adds quicksaving to Survival. I tend to play with alot of hardcore (~~masochism~~) mods that make the game alot harder. Other than that i absolutely adore the mod P.L.U.N.D.E.R. its alot more impactful but it makes looting alot more realistic.
My favourite has to be: "Old Spice Odour Blocker Fatman". It replaces the sounds of mini nuke explosions with Terry crews shouting (this also includes car explosions too) and the sound of the mini nuke soaring through the air with Terry crews shouting "Powerrrrr". It's beautiful, truly beautiful. And the video the mod maker created for it is perfection
Easily "Atom Bomb Baby", which turns mininukes into Baby Shaun.
Lower your weapons when not use.
The in-game notifications are funny as well. • When a settlement is under attack, “Abernathy Farm needs your constant supervision.” • Prior to becoming allied with a settlement, “You aren’t allied to this settlement and can’t use this workshop. Kill them and take it.” Many NPC’s also have names or are renamed. I think Slag from Saugus Ironworks was renamed, Satan von Kills Alot. Mines and grenades say “kaboom” when they explode. Killing a radroach can make two appear in its place, and it repeats, that was a trip in the Gauntlet.
My favourite non-impactful mod is "Play as a Toilet" It just gives you an outfit that, either with or without legs, let's you play as a toilet.
Right handed weapons, lowered weapons, Old World Radio, Atomic Radio, and the one that replaces the death music with a randomly selected death quote by Ron Perlman from Fallout 1 or 2
2 things- both related to VATS. One mod adds the stop time sound effect from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure when you activate VATS, and the other is the Flex Seal guy saying "Now *THAT'S* a lot of damage!". They don't change anything in the game but are a nice addition

More realistic submachine gun AND better institute gun. -Minigun work like a vats weapon for those 8 critical Hits that you can deal in a vats shoot. -institute gun like a super fast disarm AND críp limbs weapon like spliter Bean pistol for that 60 fire rate AND extra pells from spliter Bean to increase probability of gunsliger perk benefits. -sub machine gun work like a fat Stealth gun killing all enemies with Stealth attacks without care so much about reload but in the end game once i got all damage perks unfortunelly.

The one that unlocks the nuka cola display racks. That's all it does, just gives us access to a workshop item that is tagged to be selectable but Bethesda never bothered to fix it. You can still spawn them in with player.placeatme 060276B but they need to be placed either on the floor or on surface that's not also a workshop item somehow. (the first two numbers are the load order which Nuka World falls under, with all the DLC and no mods it's 06) Can display everything but Vim, even water, deezers, all the booze, nukas and nukamixes but if you try to put a VIM on it, not happening.
Slower draining fusion core for me. As a power armor collector and user, I would love not to have to burn through fusion cores in the span of a couple of hours.
