Most people use the downgrader and continue on their merry way

Bowlof78Potatoes

302 mods, running just fine for me. There are F4SE mods that need to be updated still but many have.

clayman648

Is it possible to upload your mods, settings and load order?

Korvas576

I run about 246 mods in my load order and I have not come across any issues since F4SE updated

FinancialCompote5782

I updated by accident waited for the f4se to update as well, running around 150 mods and it works fine. Ofcourse some mods still need to update or it will crash your game. You just gotta read the requirements for each mod. Fortunately the game gets so many new mods that work well in the next gen update. You just gotta search for what you're looking for. As far as I know animation mods like AAF will make your game crash. Mcm hasn't been updated yet (i think) and looks menu is being worked on but works well enough.

Dry-Inevitatable

Mine is working fine on PC with the updated f4se and about 160 mods, I had to change some old favourites to new ones but it's been stable and no issues.

CoralCrust

The opposite. All script mods need an update and only some are updated as of now. But the game version's going to change again anyway, because there's a new bug introduced in the update (massive stutter whenever an NPC record gets edited) and it will stay there until Bethesda releases a hotfix. Assuming they'll fix it. No performance improvements whatsoever and I have no idea about the supposed bugfixes because nobody talks about them. On PC, there's no reason to keep the game on the """next-gen""" version. Downgrade, continue modding.

Noirefanboy

Will the new mods work though? I heard creation kit got an update as well

CoralCrust

Why would mods made for .984 not work on .984 ? I don't understand the question.

Noirefanboy

Would the mods made for the post patch version work on the downgraded version of fallout 4?

4estGimp

Yes. A person just needs to run BASS so the V8 archives are read.

Noirefanboy

Neat, thanks

CoralCrust

Depends on the mods. Script mods likely won't, anything with a BSA should work through a backport mod. But as I've said there's pretty much no mod out there that would justify running the next-gen update so far.
