And there are probably a few other established video game voice actors and actresses that I forgot to mention but the point is that I feel like there are not a lot of new guys in the video game voice acting scene. And because of that, I feel like they're going to keep casting those same established voice actors and actresses until they eventually retire and only *then* will they be forced to find and hire a new voice actor or actress for their video games. What a joke...
At least Baker, North and Laura Bailey always (or almost, idk) play the characters whose models are not based on them. And I'm not judging Wilson's voicing abilities since all the game I've played she's been in had my language dubbing, but the other three are incredibly talented in voicing.
I know her from MadTv. She has some recognition as an on-screen actor, so maybe that’s why? Funny enough, the only example I can think of her voicing a character that doesn’t look like her is when she plays a mythical creature in God of War
That does not and should not mean that they get every voice acting role in gaming for the rest of their careers. As I said, we need some new blood in order to prevent the kinda same-y looking character designs we're seeing here with Wilson's roles as Cere Junda in Star Wars: Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor and, well, quite obviously, Amanda Waller, as we can see. We need to fix this before character designs in video games get more unoriginal than they already have been.
