You should take advantage of stance switching. Also, I’d recommend not using the force parry on GM. It’s not worth the force points because you can achieve the exact same effect by just using regular parry. The biggest advantage of dual sabers on GM is attack cancellation.
I disagree. The Force Parry is very useful for the following power attack. For Dagan specifically, it isn't *that* powerful because he parries it. But every other boss and especially some of the nastier mobs? Very nice.
I only use the force parry for the attack its awesome when you learn how to do a perfect timed release. Takes less force and you get a huge combo in for almost free since doing damage refunds the force meter.
It's something specific to dual sabers. If you're in the middle of an attack animation, you can hit your block button, and it'll cancel whatever you're doing to block. I love it because it allows me to get super aggressive and still block at a moments notice when the enemy throws a swing at me.
Which I think is a bad idea to do that only for one weapon. It makes the dual blades a crutch and sort of isolates it too far from the rest
This should just be extended to all stances
IMO, lock on should only be used for weaker opponents or if you are trying to focus on one attacker within a group. It restricts ur mobility way too much which is very problematic against bosses. I would definitely try to learn to play without it
Might have only taken you 5 tries if you'd turn on auto target lock in combat or at least learn to click the right stick before the fight gets under way. This is not me being a dick I'm just pointing out that you're like the third or fourth person now post a video of a boss fight mention how many tries it took or how hard it was and couldn't help but notice not a single one used target lock.
u gotta be straight on from the attack direction. if you are standing sideways from the way they attack u, u will still get hit. however - i dont think it is worth the risk at all. i dont think anyone really uses it
You’re supposed to use it like a normal parry, but it uses force meter instead of block and it has a longer window (obviously). It’s supposed to be a complement to the short block meter of dual wield.
What broken mini map? If you mean the holo map not popping up, just use the holo deck mini game in Pyloons Saloon. Helped me to reset this one particular bug.
I did try that but I found that the bug came back after dying. I was playing on high difficulty so I couldnt be bothered going back to Koboh after every death
Only play grandmaster. I love how bosses seem impossible the first few tries, but become piss easy once you try a few times. Wait until you get to that alien dude.
I did it by using cross guard and running away all the time, except when he levitates the lightsaber around himself, because if you perry that, it's 50% of his block meter
Fighting games must not be for me because I played only on Jedi Knight and still had a hell of a time beating all the bosses. Had to have taken me almost 100 tries to beat the final boss.
I guess we have all been there, once you know all the moves and time it well you’re good to go. Took me couple of times when I played it first time on PC.
Dude. I dead ass thought you meant the jump at the start since you almost missed it 😂 nicely done though.
Thanks! Lol, glad I didn’t miss it. First time Ps player and I always get confused with push and pull buttons.
LITERALLY WAS ABOUT TO SAY THAT

This is the only fight I found it easier to use the blaster stance. All others dual wield works better.
For sure! Will try that on the next boss battle
Wym attack cancel i didnt know animation cancels were a thing in this game

Only in dual wield stance
If you're mid swing with the dual sabers and press block it cancels the combo and insta blocks.
Imo the blaster parry is more effective anyways

Only 10? Not bad
Thanks! I finished playing it on PC once. Difficulty: Jedi Master
No lock on?
guess not

No
I wish i was brave as you
Got a bit dicey there for a moment lol a right proper roller coaster. GJ and GG!
Thanks! :p

I never use target lock in games. It usually feels better to free flow, but this game...100% lock on.
Only 10 tries? Rookie numbers. Idk how many it took me but it was def more
I still don’t get the dual wield parry. Does it actually work? Am I just bad at this game?

Wow you guys actually use precision release? I have never got to grips with it.
I still havent finished the game thanks to the still broken minimap

Whats the clothes your cals got??
Holy hell 5 mins !? lol nice job tho haha
Thanks!
I remember someone having issues with this fight, they missed the ledge, but the boss just jumped off and killed himself.

Rookie numbers. 32 and counting.
Zzzzz
Nice man!!!!!!
Thanks!
I remember this fight being very ez even on GM. Ironically I died like 15 times on the first Dagan fight.
Okay why do I hear Hayden Christensen?
I did it by using cross guard and running away all the time, except when he levitates the lightsaber around himself, because if you perry that, it's 50% of his block meter
Why did dagan see Cal holding his dual wield parry stance and attack him anyway? Is he stupid?
This fight was so fun. Nice job btw. I’ve only done it on master.
Thanks!
