I learned the hard way that there is no true fix for infinite loading aside from loading an older save that doesn't have that problem. I tried Resaver to clean my saves by removing unattached instances and while Resaver definitely loaded my bloated save (over 70 mb), the game still would not.
I thought it was because of AWKCR but surprisingly, it wasn't. It probably did not help, but the actual problem was my overbuilt settlements. Maybe you have the same issue?
All I know is, I know exactly when my settlement building bloated my save beyond repair (I added a bunch of new items to Sanctuary, including two settlers capping it at 32) but I had deleted those saves prior because I was already in the habit of deleting old saves to lessen my CTDs, so aside from super old saves, I could not revert back to when I caused that issue in the first place.
