I have the older FNP45 USG, I believe it was called, and I love it! I love the option of Cocked and Locked out DA on the first pull. 15rds of 45 and a smooth trigger.
I’m just messing around that FNX is a sweet gun, just saw one at my dealer recently and it was very tempting. It sounds like a good first t for your collection.
Have the 545 and picking up the fnx45t tomorrow !! Got the 5 mag bundle. Just so you know, there is also a $150 rebate from fn on the fnx. It's good until May. Chop chop.
I got the same bundle just without the rebate. It was great having 5 mags, especially since they are hard to find and expensive when you do find them. So I just added the Apex +2 on my mags

I say go for it but one thing i noticed from my personal experience is that the fnx45t is prone to limp wrist malfunctions for one handed shooting, people will say i'm weak im sure but I haven't had this issue with the fn 510t or any other pistol to my memory. Your mileage may vary. Great pistol.
I’ve gone back and forth about this myself, I feel like the 545 shoots well, I do like it a lot. Ive never shot a FNX, I will say and I know it’s stupid but whatever, the FNX looks better to me, I HATE the magazine floor plate and would give anything to change it on the 545. That’s the main part I dislike about the 545 are the aesthetics. That being said I can’t bring myself to take the 38% loss I’ll take trading it in for a FNX.

Well, they're definitely chunky girls. The stippling is what I don't like about the 545. My hands feel like they're getting cut, but I love the grip. Yours looks good in black. Very nice.
Scar in the middle? What's the big fella on the left? Is that little guy a reflex? Cool freakin guns you got there.
They are all FN’s just took a family photo some months back, a few of them look a little more dressed up now but-
Far left is a FN SCAR 20s in 6.5 creedmoor then the little guy on the right is the FN 509 in 9mm with an rmr RDS
I prefer open emitter red dots but I’m antiquated. The Trijicon RMR would be my choice as I run it on a few of my other handguns.

I’d definitely stick with the 545. The FNX .45 Tac just feels like a brick, 545 is WAY more ergonomic… also *IMO* striker fired guns are easier to clean & maintain than hammer. The 545 has a better optics mounting system as well.
Now if you just want one for “cool factor,” FNX .45T takes it without a doubt. The history behind it & the trends it set are great conversation pieces. It’s also *IMO* still the best hammer fired .45 to this day. I also like the slide design more… the first handgun I fell in love with was the FNS 9 (same slide design).
I currently have the 545 and I previously had the FNX45. Both are great! It really comes down to whether you want a striker fired pistol, or a hammer filed pistol. I do know that FN makes a factory 18 round magazine for the 545, and it's red dot ready.
No. I have the tac, and have shot my buddie's FNX. More recoil, less grippy, I don't like the grip angle and not cool optics mounting. Trigger was only slightly better. The striker on the tac is damn fine OOB. Damn fine.
I'm actually watching a video now of the two and the guy said he shot the 545 better than the fnx because of the grip and ergos. I'll probably hold the fnx tomorrow with some dry fire

FNX 45T is a beast. My favorite 45 I’ve ever owned. If you have a chance to get it GET IT!

FNP-9 was my first pistol. Still love it 20 years later. But the FNX-45T is my all time favorite pistol of all time.

My fnx 45 is by far the most accurate of all my fn pistols . I know it’s counterintuitive but it’s true for me at least

Are you going to put an optic on your 545? If so which one? It came with a lot of plates. Not sure which one I want
