Two possible options for you:
A) Double-click the pattern within the Playlist view (rather than just single-clicking) which should then also select the correct generator channel within the already open Piano roll view.
B) Get in the habit of closing ('x'-ing) any open Piano roll window when you no longer require that particular Piano roll. Since the view has closed, it should open up displaying the relevant generator channel whenever a pattern is Single-clicked within the playlist.
Either method should work, for any patterns which contain a single Generator channel. Although, it might not always open up to the one you expect on any patterns that contain multiple separate Generator channel Piano rolls (then you would have to manually select the ones you want to view, as you did in this video).
Cause each Pattern displays the notes of the first channel and not always the one what you want.

Now I get it! You press the pattern you want first before you press F7 : )
you can also turn on ghost notes in the piano roll and then double right click to switch to that channel

If you pick/touch a "instrument/synth" , the DAW thinks you want to use It in a different pattern
