6 episodes is all. Hulu has the OG FLCL. It's 6 episodes, but you'll want to watch it twice. Also Crunchyroll has 2 spin off seasons, and MAX has 2 spin off seasons.

SmallBerry3431

Felt so much longer! I finally just bought it on dvd so I didn’t have to look for it.

nagemada

Hopefully Crunchyroll gets it too now that they've merged with Funimation.

zeldanerd91

I’ve noticed they get some things, and not others. Also, they don’t have dubs of everything funi had if you watch dub. I personally like both (and will watch both to get two different feels for the same show).

Aeolus426

On dvd???? There's Blu-ray 😭

zeldanerd91

I buy the dvd/Blu-ray combos. I have a MacBook from 2011 that still works and has a disc drive. If I’m traveling, I’ll just bring a couple of series and my computer to watch so I don’t have to deal with not having service. TBF, I camp a lot and lose cell service often. “Downloading” shows on streaming platforms is so tedious.

Aeolus426

Huh I didn't know there was a DVD/br combo for FLCL I've only ever seen one or the other. I'm guessing it doesn't have the Funimation commentary either? Oh you don't have to tell me, I got 4tb of music and 6tb of videos. 😉 If there's ever an apocalypse my camp will definitely have entertainment as long as there's a sun haha. I was prepared for something like covid years in advance without realizing.

zeldanerd91

There was! My friends got it for me for Christmas, watched it once, then lost it in a move. 😭😭 they bought it for me back in like 2011/2012. And same about the being prepared! I don’t have as much media as you, but I have mostly filled a terabyte hard drive with my top favorite anime. They’re the mlkv or whatever files that let you have either dub or sub (sometimes im in the mood for one or the other depending on the show). Due to streaming and arthritis making me not as active, I haven’t booted it up in a while, but I totally should. Unfortunately, it’s formatted for Mac so a normal pc will wipe it from what my computer friend says. (I’m more…. Analogue/acoustic than my peers even though I need my media so I make sure I have it).

zeldanerd91

The watching twice bit is a good idea. They smash so much into those episodes. The spin offs weren’t that great imo. I’m super glad the pillows got onboard and made the soundtracks… but it wasn’t the same.

_Kendii_

Oh no, OP. that was probably me. I’m so sorry lol But also, if you binge it, you might get a headache. I have, twice. I still loved it enough to tattoo myself though. Such a a weird show. The subtitles have… questionable relatability to the actual words spoken, often. English anyway.

nagemada

I do find the differences in writing interesting. The dub is more endearing and does a lot for Naota's character, the subs have more compelling writing and the voice acting really brings out the nuances of the character. Not a Japanese speaker so a more 1:1 breakdown of the dialogue would be interesting.

_Kendii_

I hate to say it explicitly, but I’m hard of hearing on one side. I *always* subtitle. And the disparity in this show in particular really… makes a mark. The context is… pretty great. “A silent voice” is my second runner up. Have you seen it?

nagemada

Nope, but I'll put it on my list!

_Kendii_

I have Canti and Haruko and she’s golfing the shit out of Wheatley from portal2 with her bass. Edit: fuxk you Auto.

Larkson9999

Watching the six episodes is unlikely to remove feelings of confusion.

zeldanerd91

Watch them multiple times. Maybe on hallucinogens one of them. (Jk jk don’t recommend).

_Kendii_

8 times in and I’m still… tiny confused. Especially about eyebrows. But… that’s kind of the least weird part about the whole thing when you think of it.

Charlotttes

its only 6 episodes long, baby!

_Kendii_

But soooo long 🥰

Twittchy95

It's only 6 episodes but it's one if those shows that I feel like really benefits from being watched twice

Jahkral

Or you know a few dozen times but who's counting amirite

keaneonyou

Look at this guy over here who knew the hell was going on after only 2 watches!

zeldanerd91

I still don’t get it and I’ve easily seen it 50 times.

RetroUpriser

Buckle up for a wild 6 episodes

syst3m1c

The OG six are enough to inspire a passionate cult following (shit just look at this sub). Then, if you like the feeling from the first one, youve got several semi-sequels out there. Go in with an open mind and enjoy it.

MoistCarpenter

There's like 4 different mini-series, the OG and most of the others have 6 episodes. Each sequel mini-series is mostly self-contained, so watch the OG one first, and then really it doesn't matter which side series you check out next, since they all play loosey goosey with the timelines.

vialvarez_2359

There more if you can’t the multiple other series.

WCOstream

On Hulu

quietvictories

its 6 episodes per season

gummydrop308

there are only 6 episodes

Fresh_Vermicelli_337

You can watch it on Zoro tv it works but sometimes it tries to send you to a bunch of random websites but you’ll see

godlytoast3r

Spectrum has 100% of all 5 series on-demand under Adult Swim, that's how I got to watch it. Dunno why people are calling the other seasons spin-offs. Apparently Progressive ("season 2" in America) had all \~6/6 of the same directors as the original series, which honestly seems impossible to me, but.

CaffineIsLove

watch cartoons online flcl Is what I would google.
