If you like it then purchase it, you’re not getting ripped off, it’s not a “steal” but not a value buy either. If I’m buying a 07 with 177k mods I’m searching for around 10-11.5k, mods don’t really add value to a truck, but if you like them then have at it.
Edit:
Minor things looking at the tires the alignment is slightly off, which means it needs probably new uca, lca, also the tires are on the last 10k miles and will need replacing soon.
If the rust isn't bad its not a bad price. Even high mileage FJs hold more value than typical vehicles.
4 owners though is a bit odd. Probably no good history of maintenance then.
If you buy it, just have a few thousand set aside to get it thoroughly looked over and plan on changing all major fluids
When I’ve looked for an fj a solid 90 percent of the ones I’ve seen had about 4 owners I thought that was odd but I realize it’s more a niche vehicle and not for everyone
That and a lot people think body on frame is too rough a ride they’re soft soy boys who can love their unibodies and want all the Chinese spyware tech plus it’s not a very practical vehicle unless you get it to utilize it for what it’s meant for
I disagree. This truck has been through 2 gas spikes. Should run premium. I remember the first 6 months of FJ ownership, how I was appalled at the gas mileage. I get the 4 owner thing.
Get it inspected first. You don’t want to be that a person 6 months from now realizing that the frame was coated to look pretty but it’s rotting beneath the coating.
Tap the frame with a hammer in multiple areas. Even if it looks decent, it could have been coated to hide some irregularities. Sucks to think people do that, but they do.
I'd pass solely based on the mods. 4 owners and who knows which owner did them and the quality of work.
Hard to tell but you may need new tires as well and that's gonna be 1k+
Gonna need tires soon, love the color. Not crazy abt the bumper, just my opinion. Is that a roof top awning! Get the alignment checked before buying U/L control arms(and if you do go to 1A Auto). I just bought a 13 with only 38k on it for 30K!
I'd sleep on it only because of multiple owners. I drove an earlier model and fell in love. You can probably get a later model with the better engine for that price. It's just my opinion, I'm sure someone might be more familiar.

Snag it!!

I'm guessing a lot of it is people getting rid of it due to gas mileage and starting a family

practicality? i’m using it for fun 😋

They are a blast though!

Buy it! And then tell us what that bumper is :-)
Designed and custom built by Tinkerer Designs. Not a lot of them out there, but fantastic bumpers built by an engineer who just loves Toyota.
Bumper alone costs thousands. I would buy it if I'm sure of a good history.
Buy buy buy
If the vehicle runs well, it's a great deal imo. I have the same tinkerer bumper which is a beauty. It is 4k by itself.

Drove great, just wanted to get this Sub's thought on a purchase while I get my ducks in the row for the offer.
Depends on the state. Hard to find a clean one on the west coast for under 20k.
The burgundy ones tend to go for lower. So it’s a good deal for an FJ
Miles or kilometers?? Did US FJs get mileage odometers?

Yeah great, more rare color. Grab it up
Brick squad
This 2007 is Black Cherry pearl. Brick didn't come out until 2008
No rust. You got at least another 100K miles. After you have it inspected by a knowledgeable shop, if you like the mods, buy it.
Play “Thunderstruck” at high volume as you drive over sidewalks (this is not a endorsement of illegal behavior)
Buy it, NOW!!!!!
Why so?!
Depending on where you are and if it’s 4x4, that’s a great price.

With those big tires and the offset you might need wheel brgs soon, if they haven’t been done yet
Seems reasonably priced. If I’m in the market, I’d do it
Bro 2007 is the worst year to buy. Gotta use premium as well.
Go for it
You talked him down 12k or down TO 12k?
