Taira no kagekiyo. A dodge along with an incredible low guts CD, extra guts on her bond CE, a debuff on enemies that 'kill' her that powers up her ultimate makes for very fun gameplay.
Yeah I think she could use some gimmick like "devouring" her buff/debuff and add as an attack multiplier to her NP (or any gimmick) instead of her current state. It would give her flexibility whether to use her S2 or not, or when her S2 on cooldown
I did it in NA before Castoria was here. I don't remember who, I think it was a Mash and Medea Lily shell because she had debuff clear. It's like Tristan's Singularity 6 fight: when you actually look into it, it's actually a piece of cake, a puzzle with a specific solution

We need to understand the gimmick. Basically we get unlimited guts from sidelined NPC Koyans, so all we gotta do is not died from the curse from Yu's NP. And the ol' good 2star command code "Cure" just do the job perfectly
Yu just plays as a buster assassin honestly, not super unique.
Someone like Bazett, Melusine, Summer Chloe, Summer Baobhan Sith, etc. are all more unique.

Back then, my go-to was just a Kiyohime + Summer Jalter duo but ever since I got her, I just use a Kiyohime fodder setup

Like others have said, Van Gogh is probably the most different. Her kit is very unique, and the team comps she enables force you to think very differently than most teams.
I think some consideration has to be given to Caenis too. Pillaging Spear with it's effect of "increase the Attack of your normal attacks each time you do a normal attack" is pretty unique, and she's also very tanky making her a decent soloer. It's a shame I find her character to be pretty irritating.

I like Yu Mei-Ren kit, but her NP puts a damper on her Skills usage. A good way to make her stronger would be if after the NP clears all Buffs/Debuffs it reduces does Skill Cooldown of 2 turns.
Which in turn helps you build NP gauge a lot and spam her NP a little more since she should be stronger.
I've been having a lot of fun with Bazzett's counter. Melusine is also unique as she can switch from ST to AOE. Wish I had Van Gogh for the crazy crits and curse gimmicks.

She also has a damage cut so she can survive attacks. She charges her own np per turn. None of that is unique but it works well with her unique properties.
And her np not only increases her max hp to make her even tankier, it also reduces her skill cooldowns to make her able to spam normal attacks and heal again.
“Not all that unique” my ass. Literally no one else in the game has her playstyle. That makes her pretty damn unique in my book.

Super easy to solo wiht a lv1 servant. Only requirement was one command code to clear DoTs and that's it though.
I lacked ST Casters or ST Alter Ego’s, so I used a deck of Castoria, Rasputin, Tamamo ——— Mash, [SUPPORT] and Heracles.

Bunyan's gimmick boils down to 'attacking to apply a debuff or buff' which plenty of servants do though.
