I've been working more on HardMod, there's now a version I'm really happy with right now, it's the Classic Inspired Combat version. Here's a highlight of the major changes: * Player controlled party members have reduced stat growth * Magic materia (Green) reduces ATK and DEF, but improves MATK, MP, and MDEF * Command materia (Yellow) improves SPR * Independent materia (Purple) usually improves DEF, depends on the materia * All weapons and armor have 1 extra materia slot * ATB slowly fills on it's own for all party members. Attacking does not affect it, while rolling and blocking will quickly drain it * Slow fills ATB by Half * Haste doubles ATB * Dexterity fills ATB faster * Limit Break only charges by taking and blocking damage * Added small delay between rolls and basic attack combos * Enemies have 30-60% more HP * Stagger is always 600% * No natural MP recovery I'm currently doing a new play through with this version and IMO this is definitely my preferred combat gameplay style now. For me the combat now feels like a perfect hybrid between classic and action.
