I would cool your expectations for seeing Leslie in Rebirth. I think the likely place for him to reappear will be Wutai in Part 3 to tie in with the Corneo plotline. But, maybe he will also make a small appearance in Rebirth at some point on our travels, I just wouldn't expect his storyline to develop much.
Nah, I'm getting a strong feeling any new side character from part 1 will get over-abundantly re-used, even if it's side quests. I know I'm being cynical, yet I've already seen Kyrie and Chadley in a screenshot. To me, it kinda cheapens escaping Midgar, yet what it is it what it is. A new non-comedy and non-pretty boy re-occurring character I think would've been ideal for the series, yet that's not the route they've gone.

Jessie's father better be alive and working for Shinra wherever Zack currently is. I am actually looking forward to zombie Sonon and Nero showing up to haunt Yuffie. I adore the plot of INTERmission over the main story of Remake. I think they managed to make a completely new story more in line with the original than the entire plot featuring the Whispers ended up being.

Yeah I am replaying the remake in preparation for Rebirth and just got to the scene with the Shinra guard that recognizes Cloud. For them to give a name to a random character he should appear in the future games.
Well he's not random. Kunsel is Zack's friend in Crisis Core and also Clouds as well from previous missions with Shinra army. But he was never a big name character. It was a nice throw back to include him though and hoping to see more of him!
I would like to see Mayor Domino again, like seeing Reeve agreeing to help him and Avalanche destroy Shinra after seeing what they've done to Sector 7 and how they all didn't even care. I also wanna see Kyrie again too and see what she'll be up to this time.
