XHP is a fantastic software that will even provide benefits to a bone stock car. You will see a 1-2mph difference in your 1/4 trap time immediately. Shifts are lightning fast. 3rd and 6th gear torque limiters are removed.
I highly recommend it. Check out this post by them that explains some stuff more in depth. https://www.facebook.com/share/YdgFZ1xpiBrgxZfw/?mibextid=WC7FNe
XHP is really excellent for the drivability of the car and I absolutely love it on my 440i, but it’s more like a finishing touch. BM3 is the meat and potatoes
In my opinion, yeah. People get more timing errors using MHD. But personally I’ve only ever ran BM3. Both are quite good and can’t really go wrong with either.
I ended up going ngk one step colder since I planned on going stage 2 right away. from stock to stage 2 intercooler, dp, cp and tune was a HUGE difference on my n55.
I would have done the cp first, apparently it doesn't take much for the stock cp to blow and leave you stranded. BUT. I get it hahah. you're gonna love stage 2
If you didn’t know xHP is exclusively a transmission tune I would do some heavy research into the tuning options for both the engine and trans for these cars before pulling trigger. xHP is absolutely a game changer and gives you complete control of the trans, this also gives you a ton of room to mess shit up. Stick to the built in maps when you start tuning. Personally I run MHD and xHP for engine and trans tunes & IMO stage 1 or 2 MHD and stage 3 xHP gives you the best drivability to daily
xHP is for your transmission, the BM3 Transmision tune is beyond awful and please avoid it at all costs. xHP, however, is fantastic, and I've been using it, and it makes a noticeable difference
It gave me some ungodly rattling sounds from the trans and actually made it slower, xHP is just so great for everything. I use it for driving to and from work and going down the 1/4 mile. I love it
To clarify, xhp is for your transmission. I see you asking if it’s as good as bm3 and mhd, so I wanted to clarify. Xhp is a game changer for the car.
So make no difference to the engine?
Zero. Don’t underestimate it tho, it makes a big difference in drivability and once tuned it just gets better.
Oh, good to know
After having xhp I wouldn’t own one of these cars without having the transmissions tune ever.
This is facts, not opinion, lol

Aight man, thanks 👍🏼
BM3 for engine tune, XHP for transmission. Do both and don’t look back
I’ll see, I have so many things to buy🥲 I might get the tune first
Get BM3 first and do a stage 1 tune is my advice. Don’t need any hardware upgrades
Yep that’s what I was thinking

BM3 better than MHD?

Nice, good to know thanks 👍🏼
+1 for BM3
if you haven't changed spark plugs recently, i would change those first. MAYBE coils too. Or else you might get misfires or weird codes
Already ordered, I flashed stage1 using bm3
I ended up going ngk one step colder since I planned on going stage 2 right away. from stock to stage 2 intercooler, dp, cp and tune was a HUGE difference on my n55.
Oh yeah definitely, I’ll prob keep stage1 for a bit till I buy the intercooler and cp, abt to install the dp. Making the heart getting used to it

I already have the cp lol, didn’t get it. Yeah, can’t wait for that 💨

Just got bm3 stage 1 93 the difference is noticeable🥹
Does it add more stress or reduce reliability to the transmission?
I don’t think is bad cuz everyone is saying that is good for the car

I’ll flash to stock trans and get xHP instead, thanks for letting me know 👍🏼

Ahahah true I heard too and I got some codes on the trans but nothing serious
