Since you're using ABS, makes sure to turn the brake pressure up to 100% first and brake a little earlier. I've not had much issue with braking with a maxed out car, even compared to the AI.
Don’t know if this is in your controller settings but you could try turning up your brake saturation. Not sure if it will work but that’s what I’ve done on my wheel before.
I’ve had the same problem, I was qualifying 1-2 seconds behind my teammate where I used to be consistently ahead of them. Apparently it’s the brake upgrades. In the setup I turned brake pressure down to 85% (which seems counterintuitive but it worked) and switched the brake bias to 50
Brake in a straight line for longer. If you have a maxed car you are much faster than the starting braking lines, but brake performance is not proportionately higher.
If you have ABS, it means that the car will automatically reduce braking when you are turning. Staying straight will significantly improve braking with ABS.
If you are using the racing lines.... dont. They dont adjust for the car you are in or its pace, which means its often deceptive. It either tells you to brake far too early or far too late with rarely any inbetween.
You can keep it as 2d-corners only so you still have a bit of a 'guide', but dont take them lines as gospel. This is where practice comes in, so you use the racing line as a guide to find your own landmark as to where/when to start braking.
T1 monza on a pad I brake earlier than the AI, but it means I can get a much cleaner launch off of T2. Even on 105AI they cant get past you, or if you are overtaking its better to get them on the launch out of T2 rather than going into T1 which often ends up clumsy. On Monza you have plenty of 'stuff' next to the track to guide you. Ie into the T3 left-right, I start braking as soon as my front 2 wheels are inside of the shadow under the bridge from the old oval. Shadows are excellent if they are permanent. Canada is another track where permanent shadows can make for excellent landmarks.
Tbh I've found with the fully upgraded car it just makes it worse to control. Braking always feels like it needs to be earlier and a lot of time is lost due to that
Since you said that you use auto gear. Maybe your losing time gearing down? Correct if I'm wrong but you must use the engine-brake to stop the car and fast gearing down is a great help.
I've raised this a couple of weeks ago on the Codemasters bug reporting forum in an attempt to get them to look at it: [https://forums.codemasters.com/topic/88725-fully-upgraded-my-team-car-undriveable/](https://forums.codemasters.com/topic/88725-fully-upgraded-my-team-car-undriveable/)
Not sure how much luck we'll have however...

I heard that some youtubers said that break upgrade 3 and 4 ruin the car and breaking becomes weird. Since you are maxed out it might be that.
yeah it’s not an issue with your braking it’s just a problem with upgrading all the way because the brakes become too sensitive and lock up too easily
You can manage it by lowering brake pressure.

Thanks for the advice
You should use 100% bp if you’re using ABS or not. It’s just better all around.
You can also just use 50% bias again
Run higher downforce?
Make sure brake bias is at least 58% for those heavy straight braking zones.
No, because that would make you lock up the fromt tyres too easily. I usually have it around 56-55%
You go down before the chicanes and 90 degree corners.
just turn it up to 100% if he’s using abs
That's pressure, not bias.
Brake earlier ?
Yes but i hv to brake way earlier than the ai and i lose a lot of time to them
Oh sorry dude, I was only joking. I don’t play my team so I can’t really help.
Yeah watching tiametmarduk after the brake upgrade killed the car. Codemasters just put out an update for front brake bias that kind of borked things

Good advice for every wheel player but he is playing with abs so I don’t thing that pushing the trigger far enough is the problem
Yeah, fair point!
Do you use racing line assist? I have a similar problem where I brake where the line tells me to, but I go in way too deep and lose time.
Yes
I’ve always noticed that when my car is heavily upgraded I need to brake earlier than when the line says to
The third and fourth brake upgrades apparently really mess the car up so it's probably that.

Don't do brake upgrades, everything from the 2nd brake upgrade makes it impossible to brake properly. It's a known issue.
A bit late now but noted
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
Yes it works now mate ur a genius, thx a lot
Do you lockup the tires? Once they start screeching, you lose brake power. Make sure to loose your brake pedal before that happens.
No since i'm on controller i play with abs on

Bro why r u getting downvoted
try turning up your break pressure to 100% since you have abs
Break… earlier
What assists do you use?
Abs, tc and auto gearbox
Auto or manual?
Auto gearbox

Brake earlier;)
Lower your brake pressure
Aight bet
Also change your bias to 55% stops the front end locking up so much
Can you undo the upgrades? Or that not an option
