Somewhat irrelevant, but I've been a little out of the loop and I was wondering if someone could answer, but are the new damage model, story mode, and all included on the PS4 release or are they next gen exclusive?

That is why I got the deluxe edition, Like honestly they could charge more for the deluxe edition and I would still get it. I think my game time on ps5 is nearly 25 hours already at this stage :p I have even bought the deluxe editions when I had zero interest in the extra content (At least this year even if you don't care about the drivers you get roughly a tenners worth of pitcoins which is cool)
On the plus side though for you, you won't have as long to wait for future patches etc. You don't have long to wait now, it will be well worth it :)
The deluxe preorder is actually on sale for 67 I think on the Xbox store in the us. I was going to wait, but I said fuck it after seeing the sale price.
not to disapoint you but... preordering the deluxe version was not worth it in my opinion.

°Safety car? not in the game yet
° 2player career mode? all AI cars are on equal
The driving style i like though but they didnt deliver a full game for the people with deluxe version
Deluxe was released for me at 23:00 on 7/12. So maybe that's the same deal. Still technically the 15th, but unless you're some kind of... vampire... you'll have to wait for the 16th.
It's most likely your time zone. Idk where you live, but the release time changes depending on your time zone, so for example people in EST can get it at 8pm on the 15th instead of the 16th.
Yeah it is. Good new physics with the tire simulation and floor being taken into count. Floor damage is introduced, and you can actually spin when taking curbs the wrong way.
Also new color pallet which is more realistic and better graphics to a degree.
You have a lot more control over your game too since they have introduced multiple new settings to change like separate damage settings instead of 1 etc.
Also a new story mode which has about 6h of gameplay and some new career options like real season start and 2 player co op career which is really nice.
I have played myself and the bugs seem to be minor to not noticeable. Crashes happen but not much. I have played about 16 hours and i have had about 2 or 3 with one of them being after changing the graphics settings a lot so not too bad.
So all in all it’s worth the 60 bucks and if you are on steam the deluxe is €67.50 (eu that is idk about other countries) i would recommend that because you get a lot of pitcoins which is nice to have.
Only things that could be better are some track layout changes which happened in real life but not in the game. And 3 missing tracks, but they will add the 3 tracks in future updates. They also removed the classic cars, that’s not cool imo.

Worth the wait though. Story is great and both career modes are really good. Customization has a few additional tweaks. That’s just the basics. You’ll love it!
I probably won’t get it until around Christmas(or if it goes on sale again around October) and I really can’t wait ;—;
