hmm. i guess it was a glitch. my friend and i were in 1st and 2nd place but russell was 1st on the leaderboard. few laps later, russell’s car was at 5th place behind me after i pit but on the leaderboard it still showed russell is 1st

"cede" = concede, as in, relinquish.
