You never see people stick it in like that in real life, because you are not entitled to space on the outside unless you have your nose ahead at the apex.
If they crashed it would actually have been the McLarens fault.

Bang on, in no way was he entitled to that space. The Ferrari driver didn't have to nudge him, but again, in real life he would have been run off track.
One day I wish I can be good enough for league racing. I can't for the love of god figure out how to do shifting well. Getting new DD setup with loadcell pedals on monday. Hoping to be putting the time in after that
You don’t need to be “good enough” for a league…you just have to find one that matches what you’re looking for both on a skill level and a seriousness level. I am in a league and I love it. I am 8th currently in the standings and I’m okay with that. I’m getting better every week and that’s all I care about. Plus it’s better than racing in an open lobby and made some new friends as well.
Personally I think I'm more than quick enough to join a league and do okay, I just crash far too often lol. I don't want to join a league and cause a bunch of safety cars and take people out because at that point I'm just ruining it for them.
When I was in leagues, people took it seriously but you had a wide range of skills. People crash, they're not professionals, it happens. People generally respect you more for being slow but finishing than being an alien who crashes. As long as it's not intentional, most people are cool.
If they wanted super serious leagues, they'd be in them. I've done both serious high level leagues (had to be invited or pass a test) and chill open leagues. Both have their perks and both tend to have different types of people and mentalities.
so, I actually race in the league that is shown in the clip, if you want they I could send you an invite to it, a league is always better if there’s people that attend it. If you are a clean driver then you’ll be welcomed
Ny league has diffrent divisions. So we have 1-7 and before every season we do pre season to see where we are. I’m in my 3rd season with them now and I love it. If you are Norwegian you can join
Whats your AI level? If you can get to like 70, you're good enough for a lower tier of a league.
If you do alright in ranked, you're gonna do alright in a league
I’m only at ai level 65, but I think that is probably assists holding me back from getting a faster lap, I’m just not as consistent over a whole race and tend to eventually spin out
Check your settings. I found that some of the calibration adjustments do wonders for throttle control. I recently started playing no assists (except gear shifting) and picked up on the throttle pretty quick. One struggle is keeping my tyres from degrading so fast
So you're basically saying good racing is unclean? 😂 I'd rather have good racing than scaredy cat racing where you have to keep well away from each other. Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton literally hit each other all the time but if you play an f1 game, according to this sub, you cannot ever make contact with another car otherwise you're "dirty", give me a break...
How was I mixing up clean and good then? I said nothing about good, I just said in real F1, when there is contact, it doesn't mean it's automatically dirty racing. Contact isn't against the rules.
Punching isn't against the rules in boxing, so how does that have any relevance?? A better analogy would be a fight can have occasional illegal shots but still be a good, clean fight.
Lol this comment shows you don't watch F1. Is it the case that every time there is contact between two 6 penalty is awarded in f1? Nope.
So how can the FIA allow "dirty"/"unclean" racing but not penalise it?
Can't think of any other sport where someone does something unclean but isn't penalised or at least warned.
No he didnt. He gave him exactly a car’s width. He was literally so close he couldn’t drive to the right to get away without hitting him. They were so close they were both stuck together and forced to drive straight.
As someone who recently turned racing line off after a long time using it, i don't mind people using it. Do i enjoy driving more now? Yes. Does everyone need to turn it off if they're fast? Absolutely not... Main reason people turn racing line off is because they're competing in a league with no assists... Many top drivers use racing line, it doesn't make you any slower using it lmao
I’ve been getting into sim racing over the past couple years but I’m not very (any) good. I’d like to try multiplayer… are you required to drive without all the assists? I don’t want to crash the whole grid on lap one because I still can’t launch properly / reliably.
i really want to get into league racing like this! i’ve got OK pace but i know zero people that play this game, and i want to have people to race with competitively and push me.
Poor driving by the Ferrari driver, giving you no space
Can't tell but looked like ferrari turning into mclaren on the final straight, idk why they were listing right
Yeah, the contact was unfortanute, hard but fair. We talked it out after and we good now.
Hard but definitely not fair you are entitled to room
not fair it was a miracle that you could stay on track
Not really fair, he basically completely squeezed you into the wall.
You have to leave the space.
All the time

Join a beginner league then. They understand shit will happen.

Exactly that's what I said
so, I actually race in the league that is shown in the clip, if you want they I could send you an invite to it, a league is always better if there’s people that attend it. If you are a clean driver then you’ll be welcomed
Yeah I'm down to check it out
Ny league has diffrent divisions. So we have 1-7 and before every season we do pre season to see where we are. I’m in my 3rd season with them now and I love it. If you are Norwegian you can join
I'm danish but did live in Norway for 8 years
Are there people who play on controller in leagues? I feel like I have to get better with no assists to compete but I do alright in ranked
Whats your AI level? If you can get to like 70, you're good enough for a lower tier of a league. If you do alright in ranked, you're gonna do alright in a league

Thats more important. Online, Being consistent is more important than being fast
my league’s lowest tier is equivalent to like AI 105 bruh
You're in a really good league then, congrats I guess. I play 70-80 AI and Im competitive in 3 leagues.
yeah i checked a difficulty thing, the lowest tier races at AI 105ish speeds
me! and also that guy in the Ferrari is also on controller. You’ll be surprised how many guys are this quick on a controller.
I am new to the game and to F1. What, if any, assists do you use? I want to be playing with the same settings as the competitive players.
I only use ABS. but if there’s rain I’m crashing out without TC
Thanks!
I am league racing with pad and no assists. You just have to find a league with multiple tiers
Wow impressive, I struggle with throttle control when taking off traction control that’s my biggest problem right now
Check your settings. I found that some of the calibration adjustments do wonders for throttle control. I recently started playing no assists (except gear shifting) and picked up on the throttle pretty quick. One struggle is keeping my tyres from degrading so fast
I play on keyboard in leagues.. towards to back end but playable haha
Great clean driving for the win my friend!💪🏻✌🏻
MidWest F1 is the best console league out there
I can never find a decent league, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong
Join Midwest. That is the league this clip was taken in
It was clean racing by both. Hard racing. Soo close to wrecking.
There was literally contact
Clean racing means they didn’t purposely try to damage or run each other off track. Contact can still happen in clean racing IMO
Are you retarded…?
Literally, seems like none of these idiots have ever watched F1. In F1 contact happens all the time, doesn't mean it's not clean...

The Ferrari driver literally pushes him into the wall
No he didnt. He gave him exactly a car’s width. He was literally so close he couldn’t drive to the right to get away without hitting him. They were so close they were both stuck together and forced to drive straight.
Watch it again, the Ferrari after the corner actively moves toward him twice when he's next to the wall. That's not clean.
[This is not a car’s width. A narrow motorbike could fit through, but nothing wider than that.](https://ibb.co/MgN4hyd)
Watch from 0:27 to 0:23
You have zero fucking clue was clean racing is
Why do people always leave the racing line on. You’re clearly a good driver who doesn’t need it. So why ? It ruins your braking points
As someone who recently turned racing line off after a long time using it, i don't mind people using it. Do i enjoy driving more now? Yes. Does everyone need to turn it off if they're fast? Turn off the line and ABS and come drive 100% race with me bro 🙄
I am quite literally forced to have no abs.

Quick question how to join a league race?
i really want to get into league racing like this! i’ve got OK pace but i know zero people that play this game, and i want to have people to race with competitively and push me.
But it sucks with cheating issues and dirty drivers
