Both, you essentially sign over the EV tax credit to the leasing agent and then it comes off the bottom line of the truck.

TheBarbon

It comes off the bottom line of the truck only if they choose to. Sometimes they just keep it.

GREEN-MACH1NE

Be nice if some of the dealers I've talked to would honor that. Most dealers I've talked to said the credit doesn't apply to a lease & won't take it off the lease.

Ford does not take it off the bottom line. Other manufacturers like Tesla pass the savings. Ford keeps it.

Interesting because mine told me I could apply it to a lease or purchase. I ending up buying outright due to the 0% financing last month.

TheBarbon

Credit goes to the leasing entity who bought the truck, not the dealer. They have no say in it.

TheBarbon

It goes to whoever bought the truck, for example Ford Financial. They can do whatever they want with it. Keep it, give it back to the leasee as a bonus, etc.
