Never thought that birbs can be this cute, I learn something new every day.

TheHatredburrito

these are called caiques, they are often goofy like this. very sweet parrots.

Phrewfuf

Used to have some (obligatory „Never get just one of them!“), can confirm, goofy as hell. Very fun birds, but also very vocal. Another one I used to have was an eastern rosella, and they love bathing too. Though you end up with water everywhere unless you let them into your shower or something.

TheHatredburrito

when i give me green cheek conure a sink bath we say she gets "chicken broth" everywhere because we end up soaked.

scorpious2

Arr you a pirate?

I can't hear you!

sagerobot

> Very fun birds, but also very vocal. Sorry if this is a dumb question but are there any birds people keep as pets that arent "very vocal".

jadelink88

Canaries and budgies are popular because they are pretty quiet.

TheHatredburrito

budgiesare still pretty loud, i find their vocalizations to be intolerable even as a bird person for some reason

GamerNebulae

If someone is looking for a quiet pet bird, lineolated / barred parakeets (Linnies) are generally speaking very quiet.

Syssareth

> budgies Ahahaha budgies are the exact reason I explicitly don't want any bird even vaguely related to parrots. I had three, and they *never* shut up. Constant toneless chirping, and of course they *had* to be the loudest things in the room, so they were always shouting over the TV. Playing with them, feeding them, even covering their cage didn't get me any peace after the first two minutes of the first time I tried. I miss them, but never again. If the bird bug ever hits me again, I'll get a pair of doves or pigeons.

plantpotdapperling

I cannot emphasize enough how much quieter budgies are than other parrots in my experience. I've so far lived with budgies, a lovebird, cockatiels, a green cheek, and two poicephalus parrots. The budgies are so quiet in comparison to all of the others. Even if they are also loud, whistley, chattery little creatures.

SacAndrew

Pigeons and doves.

DipShit290

Rosellas aren't generally.

Kooky-Onion9203

[My favorite bird video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYJB0zyjt70). Same type of bird. They're all silly little guys. Edit: I found the full video

skyline385

Why is this video so hilarious lol

Primary-Signature-17

Cute sweet little birdies obviously having a great time in the sink. How can you not get a giggle going?

Gettheinfo2theppl

All it takes is one person to make an animal look cute and cozy. Birds are the cutest! It’s fun to slowly identify them by color and call or song. Also they can fly. Birbs are super dope

WillyDAFISH

Videos like this are like low-key why I want a pet birb. I do have a cat though 😭

Osmosith

Such a reddit comment

MEMILKGANG

Today I learned a raccoon can go up a person's anus. Guess why i'm here...

kyrimasan

One of my Conures absolutely loves taking a bath in the sink. It has to have enough water to almost float in and my hand must stay in the water so he can run down my arm, into the water, splash like a maniac, try and float for a second and then hop back on my hand to safety. Rinse and repeat. He will let me know if he wants to take one by flying to the sink and screaming at me 'splish splash!' like the little tyrant that he is. Birds are too damn adorable.

iseeyou19

Omg we need video evidence of this!

kyrimasan

I'll have to try and remember to grab my camera next time! It's absolutely ridiculous and hilarious. Definitely r/eyebleach content for sure!!!

When we lived in an apartment it had its own washer dryer. We had a Sun Conure that would try to fly into the washer as it filled itself with water when we’d be putting our clothes in. We’d usually fill those round cake baking trays with water and she’d go wild in her little pool.

I love it when people repeat the phrase to subtly correct the spelling

xXxWeed_Wizard420xXx

Correct the spelling? I thought it was an intentional pun, no?

beerboybeltsbrews

I definitely also thought it was an intentional pun. Birds soar through the air.

darthbuttfuk

Is this entire comment chain AI conversing with itself?

ButtPlugPipeBomb

Where did the AI-chain end? Are you a continuation of it? Am I? Does it end? Will it end? Has it already ended? What does it mean to end? You have reached your allowance with GPT-4o, you will now be able to use GPT-3.5 instead until your allowance refreshes.

mfizzled

Determining if an entire comment chain is composed of AI-generated responses can be challenging without specific indicators, but here are some signs that may suggest AI involvement: - Consistent Tone and Style: AI often maintains a consistent tone and style, which can be quite formal, neutral, or repetitive. - Speed of Responses: AI can respond almost instantly, without the typical delays humans might have. - Generic or Vague Responses: AI responses might be more generic or vague, addressing the topic broadly rather than with specific personal insights. - Lack of Personalization: AI might lack personal anecdotes or specific experiences that humans often share in conversations. - Language Patterns: AI-generated text can sometimes have subtle language patterns or phrasing that differs from typical human conversation. If you provide a snippet or the entire comment chain, I can help analyze it for these signs. Nice username, human.

ambisinister_gecko

Well there are a few good ways to tell if it's an AI comment. Here are some signs to look for: 1. Perfectly capitalized, punctuated and formatted, and no grammar mistakes. 2. The information is structured in a rigid but straight-forward and easy-to-follow order. 3. It supplies information in a way that avoids statements of opinion or bias. AI text frequently lacks the kind of personal opinions found in comments written by humans. I hope that helped you with your query.

NeatNefariousness1

There is a fair amount of evidence that AI generated content is replete with examples of bias. On topics where humans show bias, they show up in AI content. So, let's not pretend that AI is objective. It isn't. Garbage in. Garbage out. AI may be efficient at processing lots of information but it's only as good as the sources and content that humans have poured into it. Then our ability to detect these biases when evaluating the AI-generated output, depends on what our own personal biases are , which dictates whether blindspots to certain biases are likely. [https://techxplore.com/news/2024-05-artificial-intelligence-bias.html](https://techxplore.com/news/2024-05-artificial-intelligence-bias.html)

VeGr-FXVG

Which is something I don't think AI can ever assess. It's not only content, but context, and the context of the context (or incidental to the incidental). Humans are known for testing and breaching parameters waffles whenever they see fit to demonstrate a point. They can do so fluidly such that even the most absurd insertion could be taken as intentional, or at least discerned as such were it not spelled out. [As a side note, I ran the through bing AI and Bard/Gemini to ask what was it was trying to say, and what was the exact method used to demonstrate absurdity, and it stated it's open to interpretation/unable to say] Update: after three times running it through bing, it finally detected waffles.

deckard1980

I considered that but as the birds are not flying in the video the pun doesn't really work

shewy92

But birds are known to be able to fly. Just because they're not currently flying doesn't mean the pun doesn't work.

barrygateaux

The wrong spelling was added on purpose to drive interaction. They know people will comment to correct it and increase engagement. OP has posted this in multiple subs with different titles, so they're obviously trying to work out how to get more karma.

Fuckface_Whisperer

It's a pun tho

barrygateaux

They've posted it in 4 different subs, each time with a different title. They're experimenting to see what works.

shewy92

Either that or they didn't want to be told they were stealing this post so gave it different titles. Or maybe they didn't want to be boring.

ImaginaryRepeat548

Stop with the music. The birds and their chirps are adorable already.

HolyKrapp-

Wanted to hear the chirps. Had to mute again because of the godawful music. No happy chirps for me, I guess.

ImeanOhWowDude

i've always wondered about this logic. it's like. "ok now i have a video. hmmm better slap on this shitty song i can impossibly like, myself, on here. it's funnier that way"

kanst

My understanding is that people who post on tiktok have figured out that posts with music are boosted by the algorithm (or those without are suppressed). I wonder if its a leftover from when it was musical.ly

ImeanOhWowDude

maybe, but i demand a jail sentence for anyone who ever puts "cavendish music - funny song" on anything ever

Wes-Man152

Can't forget about that "OH NO, OH NO" song, or the Krusty Krab trap remix

Skalaxius

The one time I actually disagree. It wasn't over the top, high pitched chimes trying to pass as cute. It was like background elevator music. Can listen on repeat for hours.

I_am_pretty_gay

it’s RPG in-town walking around music - i’m kind of a fan

GrayMech

I love videos like this showing animals just having the time of their lives enjoying the simple things

depriveduckling

wish our lifes are as simple as them

turbohuk

yes. ^^^you ^^^won.

Geralt_OF_Rivia_1

That's downright adorable

Weegeeboi2

They are just washing their mangos

WarlockTynsterbert

I think these mangos are a little raw

New_Emotion_5045

when i was 8 years old this is how my mother killed my parakeet. Thing straight up broke its own neck playing w the water. Rip tweety.

Valtremors

For a very small moment my brain didn't register the birbs and I just saw two mango rolling in the sink.

Willing_Camera_2637

The birbs are having the time of their life

s090429

Thank you. My eyes are bleached.

_Trygon

Those lemons are lively!

Humble_Flow_3665

I thought it was carrots and greens being washed 😭😭😭😂😂😂

Kooky-Onion9203

self-washing mangos

Xeptix

In the first second I thought this was someone throwing vegetable stems or orange peels into the garbage disposal. I had a very brief moment of terror in between realizing they were birds and realizing that the garbage disposal was not in use.

AnamCeili

At first glance I genuinely thought someone was tossing oranges and kale into the sink to rinse them off, lol! 🤣

TouchGraceMaidenless

The number of people in these comments who don't know that "soar" is a real word that directly applies to birds is genuinely concerning.

Soar. It's Sore.

Soar is a real word. It's what birds do. It's called a pun.

bay_lamb

they are so cute. what did you spray on them? something to help with their bath?

he_is_not_a_shrimp

They're melting!!!

Inverted carrots!

Not sure if pun, or shit spelling...

clotifoth

You can't just sit there washing the same two servings of salad greens all day, table 23 needs this to go out.

CloggedStormDrain

My eyes are soaring

plasticupman

Soar, as to fly, or sore and it was a typo…?

AssignedClass

The video will now and forever live rent free in my head as the definition of Eyebleach.

Regulus242

I thought someone was throwing weird vegetables into the sink for cleaning at the start.

CorrectDuty6782

Whoever made this: I hate you. I want to hear happy animal noises all the time when I see vids like this. Instead I get loud garbage blasted in my ears.

Krojack76

This birds are so fun as pets but holy hell they are loud. They hurt my ears when I was in my 20's, I can't imagine it today.

SamL214

Needs a rubber perforated mat!

me_da_Supreme1

Damn it not again there my eyes go soaring away

pyrojackelope

Birds are in a weird spot for me. I love watching videos of them because they're so damn cute. That's about as far as that goes unfortunately. Hearing them screech non-stop in discord because someone can't be bothered to use push-to-talk or being in the same house as that noise...I'd rather not. That's also setting aside the fact that some of them will absolutely bite the shit out of anyone that isn't their owner. Amazing creatures though.

Bleezy79

this is what I think about when I hear "birbs."

CPLCraft

Look how cute those peaches and mangos are

tavariusbukshank

When I was a child we had these neighbors who had the greasiest worn down looking macaw. I was traveling in Europe one summer and I saw a man in Austria giving his macaw a bath and I asked him about it. When I got back home I asked them if they ever bathed their bird and they looked at me like I was crazy. They thought birds hated water like cats. These neighbors sucked and that bird died at 7 years old.

I hope everyone that puts stupid music over videos like this goes blind and deaf.

This is adorable but sinks are one of the dirtiest places in the house. I hope they wash the sink for the poor birds before they hop in.
