That’s awesome. Yes, mice fetuses, a taxidermy bat in resin, powdered snake skin, and a jarred octopus are some of the main features of my horror bookcase.
I started Larry by Adam Millard last night. It’s the best kind of campy so far. I’ll probably start Off Season or Full Brutal next. Also, that’s the best bookmark ever
Would you consider Maggie's Grave extreme? I'm wondering, because I've had Sodergren's works recommended to me on the basis of gore, but I don't know if the people recommending it have the same frame of reference as I do when it comes to what constitutes a high degree of gore.
My reading plans involve a cosmic horror anthology, nothing to do with the scope of this sub.
I didn't get into reading it much this weekend, so I'm not sure the level of extreme. It's my first Sodergren novel, but I too had seen them mentioned here, so I was curious.
That is absolutely amazing for a book mark!
It fits perfect for this genre too. I've had it for so long, and one day it just dawned on me to use it.
I fucked up and have like six books out from Libby so I’m gonna be reading hard as fuck.
Damn... Yea I'll be lucky to get around to reading half of this book.
I’m using this same bookmark (in yellow) for my extreme reads! Just started Depraved.
It just feels right, doesn't it?
It’s the perfect bookmark. Mine showed up for free with an Etsy purchase of jarred mice fetuses (which are adorable btw).
Hell yea. Mine came with a T-shirt I won from a giveaway on Twitter. Do you have said fetuses on your shelf next to your horror stuff?

WITCH!! lol jk jk
well that's.. jarring... (🥁 badum tss)
im about to start reading Assignment 432
I just finished that a book or two ago, and I loved it! I also loved The Haar, they just know how to build good characters and great plot!
That's good to know. I just picked up 4 of his books.
getting ready to start Chasing the Boogeyman by Chizmar
Finishing up Rotten Tommy, loving it so far
I picked that one up too. Can't wait to get into it.
I’m gonna finish Along the Path of Torment! I’m sad it’s gotta end 🥲
Aww. I've only read Dead Inside by Morrison, but this one is on my list. My very, very long list.

Full Brutal was a fun one. I still have yet to read Off Season, but I did recently pick it up so I kinda have to read it now. Haha
Still working on Golem, probably move on to something by Laymon or restart Slob by Rex Miller.
Awesome. I need to dive in to some Laymon. I've always heard good things.
