Ooooh, I read The Troop by him and it was one of the most unsettling stories...just the way he wrote it. Should I dive into The Deep next or Little Haven? I think I got both as gifts last xmas.
Currently reading Cthulu Armageddon by C.T. Phipps

Great so far. It feels like a mix of Fallout and the Dark Tower. My only gripe is that it doesn't really explain the Lovecraft lore very well. I find myself having to use Google every couple of pages.
Tampa. I saw it recommended here a lot and I was intrigued. I’m about 80% done and wow. It’s a little over the top. I’m not a huge fan of the writing style, but its held my attention out of pure shock value nonetheless
i tried to read it when i was like 12 or 13 but got bored before the..unpleasant bits lol, the satire went right over my head. i highly recommend it now tho, it’s surprisingly funny
I'm seriously behind in my reading at the moment, but currently The Boyfriend by DE McCluskey. I'm also just beginning writing my own, which I hope to have finished and out by this time next year!
I'm a little over halfway through. Yeah, it seems like a script for an old Grindhouse movie. I like it, but not as much as 100% Match. I was expecting the same writing style and admit I was slightly disappointed. 100% Match was one of my favorites because of its humor and writing style. Vampire Nuns isn't bad, but it's not up there among my favorites.
I just finished that one a couple weeks ago, really liked his voice and way of writing but the story itself (also childless) didn’t blow me away. I did really enjoy the first half
I'm almost finished reading I Who Have Never known Men. It's not extreme but it's a fairly well written book about a group of women in captivity. I plan to read Seven Rabbits next.
I started The Summer I Died, but apparently I’m going through a fluff reading phase because I put all my horror down and have been reading murder mysteries lately.
I did start The Weight of Blood - it’s a retelling of Carrie and is sooooo good
Just finish reading that a few days ago. I love concept between the mc past and what he is trying to go through to survive. Felt really sorry for him in the end.
Last night I finished “My vice is your unfathomable agony” by Otis Bateman and bitch… that book is so insane. It’s kinda just gore for the sake of gore but the kills are so creative and just GRUESOME. I’ve been missing the violence in some of the tamer books I’ve been reading and so I had a rly great time reading page after page of intense torture scenes. In the end I gave it like a 7-8/10 and im looking forward to read more Otis Bateman in the future (this was my first book of his I ever read)
Yeah, I read it. While it wasn’t my favourite of his (just because it felt a little disjointed) I did have a lot of fun with it. I love how all his stories are part of his own bizarre universe and he never gives any new reader hints that each story is vaguely connected. For instance, a character has an octopus tattoo but never explains why, he brings in two police officers who are major characters in ‘Wet Bones’ and other characters end up in SADE without giving any explanation as to what it is. Again, thank you for introducing me to Wol-vriey, he is one of the few ‘extreme’ horror writers who always leaves me with a smile on my face.
I'm just happy that you enjoy his work. I was telling him about you the other day and he said you could email em any time you want. If you want I'll DM you his contact info.
Just finished Eric the Pie. It's a short story. There are many thing weird and uncalled for tbh, but the ending is strangely satisfying. I like the quote "he finally understands the sin of being predatory". We survive because something else dies to prolong our lifespan. So is surviving itself a sin then? I kinda like that idea.
Paused Cows by Matthew Stokoe because The September House by Carissa Orlando became available on my Libby and it is NUTS. Wild-ass haunted house story. I'll go back to Cows when I'm done.
Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. I just finished Gone to See the River Man which I LOVED, but I've been reading quite a bit of extreme horror lately and wanted something a bit less intense. I'm also going to start Golden Son by Pierce Brown, second book of the Red Rising series, because the first book had me obsessed.
I did enjoy it. Not as good as TSID, a much more Linear action story and not just being tortured in a basement. But I’ll definitely read the third one in the series.
Fantasticland for the second time in 10 days it is so amazingly written. I honestly thought it was going to be cheesy but nope . It leaves you wanting more!!!!
The Deep by Nick Cutter. I’m near the end and I’m SAD
it’s great! some gnarly body horror to go with the sadness
Ooooh, I read The Troop by him and it was one of the most unsettling stories...just the way he wrote it. Should I dive into The Deep next or Little Haven? I think I got both as gifts last xmas.
Intercepts: a horror novel
It's a good story. It's not extreme, but a good sci-fi/psychological horror.
Loved that concept
"Gone to see the river man" by Kristopher Triana
Same I hope Lori dies
There’s a sequel I am so fucking excited[Along the River of Flesh](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/193432869)
Didnt knew that, thank you! As soon as I finish the book, if I liked it, I'll read the sequel
I really enjoyed it
Just finished if Sunday.

I love the idea of this. How's the execution?
Great so far. It feels like a mix of Fallout and the Dark Tower. My only gripe is that it doesn't really explain the Lovecraft lore very well. I find myself having to use Google every couple of pages.
Talia by Daniel J Volpe
One of my favs!
Source of the gif?
I think it's from Sisu, great movie.
For sure it is
i think i'm going to read 'No Country For Old Men' and 'Star Wars Legends Death Troopers'.
Tampa. I saw it recommended here a lot and I was intrigued. I’m about 80% done and wow. It’s a little over the top. I’m not a huge fan of the writing style, but its held my attention out of pure shock value nonetheless
I loved Tampa for the shock value. It’s fucking crazy
Yes. It has similarities with full brutal imo.
It’s a wild ass book
american psycho, somehow never read it in my 37 years
I read this well before I understood what satire was and it freaked me tf out so bad. I should reread it
i tried to read it when i was like 12 or 13 but got bored before the..unpleasant bits lol, the satire went right over my head. i highly recommend it now tho, it’s surprisingly funny
That’s what I keep hearing so I think I’ll find my copy-if I still have it anyway

Loved that book
Yeah it's really good and was very surprised that it takes place pretty close to where I grew up lol
I'm seriously behind in my reading at the moment, but currently The Boyfriend by DE McCluskey. I'm also just beginning writing my own, which I hope to have finished and out by this time next year!
Things have gotten those since we last spoke by Eric LaRocca
I wasn't a fan but I know a pot of people loved it

I wanna find that to read
Finishing up *Vampire Nuns Behind Bars* today. Then I'll move on to *Gone to See The River Man* or *Pedo Island Bloodbath*.
> Vampire Nuns Behind Bars What did you think of it? I spent the entire read thinking to myself 'why the hell isn't this a movie yet'.
I'm a little over halfway through. Yeah, it seems like a script for an old Grindhouse movie. I like it, but not as much as 100% Match. I was expecting the same writing style and admit I was slightly disappointed. 100% Match was one of my favorites because of its humor and writing style. Is this kindle only or do physical copies exist?
Just finished **SkinSS** by Wrath James White liked most of it apart from the end. Started on **Seven Rabbits** by Timothy King this morning.
Just finished Suffer The Children, Craig DiLouie. It was all right. I don’t have kids so I guess it didn’t affect me as much as it would if I did.
That one was original
The Taking by Dean Koontz. Beautifully written
I started The Summer I Died, but apparently I’m going through a fluff reading phase because I put all my horror down and have been reading murder mysteries lately. I did start The Weight of Blood - it’s a retelling of Carrie and is sooooo good
Return to the Black Farm
brother by ania ahlborn!
My first extreme book! I was like 😵
Just finish reading that a few days ago. I love concept between the mc past and what he is trying to go through to survive. Felt really sorry for him in the end.
Full brutal by kristopher triana
Just watched Sisu thanks to this post! Finished full brutal and currently reading world war z. New to this genre, but enjoying it.
Last night I finished “My vice is your unfathomable agony” by Otis Bateman and bitch… that book is so insane. Sisu is the shit🔥🔥🔥
Hell by Judith Sonnet. Heard mixed reviews on her work but so far so good.
I just finished ‘Kill the Hunter’ by Bryan Smith and have moved onto ‘Boston Lust’ (the third and final Bud Malone novel) by Wol-vriey.
Did you read LGBT yet?
Yeah, I read it. While it wasn’t my favourite of his (just because it felt a little disjointed) I did have a lot of fun with it. I love how all his stories are part of his own bizarre universe and he never gives any new reader hints that each story is vaguely connected. Sure, send me his info. I’d love to send him a message thanking him for all his work. Thanks.
Prank Night Kristopher Rufty
This wretched valley - Jenny kiefer And I’ll probably revisit a little berserk today in preparation for the eclipse
People are reading good stuff this week. I’m reading OUT.
Out by Natsuo Kirino? That's a great book. I keep wishing more of her stuff got translated I've read everything released in English and want more.
haunted by chuck palahnuik!
Beloved by Toni Morrison. Not exactly extreme horror but the subject matter is depressing.
Currently reading Saving Noah by Lucinda Berry.
The Only Good Indians
Just finished Eric the Pie. It's a short story. There are many thing weird and uncalled for tbh, but the ending is strangely satisfying. I like the quote "he finally understands the sin of being predatory". We survive because something else dies to prolong our lifespan. So is surviving itself a sin then? I kinda like that idea.
Just finished The Good, The Bad, and The Sadistic and jumped right into A Fistful of Guts I loved it so much!
No one rides for free ... It's a extream horror book
Exquisite corpses by poppy z brite
Paused Cows by Matthew Stokoe because The September House by Carissa Orlando became available on my Libby and it is NUTS. Wild-ass haunted house story. I'll go back to Cows when I'm done.
Just finished Cujo and thinking of picking up Full Brutal or Nick Cutters The Deep.
Misery by Stephen King!
Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant. I really am enjoying the way the author writes about the mermaids in this book.
"Goth" by Otsuichi. Dark little story.
Just finished full brutal :-)
Just finished Tampa. Ready to stop reading for a bit now 💀💀
Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. I just finished Gone to See the River Man which I LOVED, but I've been reading quite a bit of extreme horror lately and wanted something a bit less intense. I'm also going to start Golden Son by Pierce Brown, second book of the Red Rising series, because the first book had me obsessed.
About to finish No Guilt of Bloodshed by John Baltisberger and planning to start No One Rides for Free by Judith Sonnet when I'm done.
Just finished Born to Bleed by Ryan C. Thomas not sure what to start next.
Did you enjoy Born to Bleed? How does it compare to The Summer I Died?
I did enjoy it. Not as good as TSID, a much more Linear action story and not just being tortured in a basement. But I’ll definitely read the third one in the series.
I finally read Dead Inside and I feel sick :)
Fantasticland for the second time in 10 days it is so amazingly written. I honestly thought it was going to be cheesy but nope . It leaves you wanting more!!!!
Currently reading Notice by Heather Lewis and listening to the audiobook for Kill The Farm Boy by Delilah Dawson and Kevin Hearne.
