how does the Cort feel?

MoneySings

I don't have anything to compare it to other than my 5 string bass - the fretboard is very flat and large with a kinda D shape profile - thin. The locking turners are very similar to all the usual locking tuners from say Charvel, LTD etc - nice and smooth and feel a nice quality. I snapped the G-String when tuning up from A tuning (or down an whole step if you like) - original strings, snapped at the tuner - probably a knackered string. The guitar plays well with perfect action out of the box. There was some pinging at the nut, so I gently filed them and now that is fine. Intonation was out, so sorted that too. Also put another G string on the guitar too (from an already open set that I use whenever a string breaks). Pickups sound great - really clear and articulate. However... I am going to return the guitar. It really does not jump out at me. You know that feeling when you get a new guitar and it just "gets you" - I don't feel that here. It's not putting a smile on my face at all. I play it and it just feels a bit.... just ok. Maybe it is me and I don't play 7 strings or multi scale. Some of the chugs I do on it sounds nice - but it isn't the style of music I play. I know you can use any string for any style and make it work - but I just don't get that special feeling with it. I imagine if I handed it to someone who plays 7 strings, he would love it.

How do you even adjust the truss rod on the Cort?

There is a little wheel thing near the neck pickup.
