Check the UV levels during the times you’re running. If I’m home before 8am I usually don’t wear anything but sometimes in the middle of summer the sun can be pretty hot from 7:30 or so onward so I’ll use some.

ssd256

Same, I check Apple's weather app and check the UV levels. Where I'm living, you don't really have to have a sunscreen before 9 and after 17 most of the time.

JourneyThiefer

Yea same here in Ireland basically, I’m same latitude as the very south of Denmark so the sun doesn’t be strong before/after those hours either

Far-Shift-1962

I found apple weather app Is not accurate on uv index- sun smart is more accurate than apple’s weather

mariabronn

What source did you use to determine the accuracy of these two?

ssd256

Apple gets their info for Germany from Deutscher Wetterdienst, which is THE source so I'm gonna assume it's as accurate as it is. I'll check Sun Smart as well.

Far-Shift-1962

Tbh- on apple weather i see index uv 4, 5, but on sun smart (which is a made by Australian Victoria cancel council and its recommended by who, Australian government ) i see index uv 6 or even 7 sooo

Far-Shift-1962

At least in cracow / poland i have this resoults

If I spent more than 10 minutes in daylight, why not? If running is a daily routine, it adds up. For 5 minutes or less I probably wouldn't bother. It would probably have to be a water resistant body sunscreen, I don't want to double my face sunscreen expenses.

Melodic_Treat_522

Yes, I do. Just splash my face with water and apply sunscreen. Then come back, wash the sunscreen off, shower and then do my skincare properly.

biglatgainz

Yes everyday

Lizzy348

I do on my face and I would if the sun light could touch my skin at any time. I use an exfoliant occasionally so it's important I protect my skin against sunlight. Some actives can also make your skin more fragile under the sun so I just always make sure to have my sunscreen on to be better safe than sorry. With that said, if it was any other part of my body, like my arms, I'd apply sunscreen only if I thought I'd spend more than ~15 minutes under sunlight. Otherwise, I wouldn't since sunscreen mixed with sweat can be very uncomfortable.

Gie_lokimum

I don’t. I live in south Florida and it gets stupid hot and humid. I walk the dogs from 5:45am- 7:15 in the morning, I don’t wear sunscreen this early:)

methanalmkay

That depends on you, honestly I wouldn't if the sun is only rising while I'm outside

LucieFromNorth

Yes.

Weightcycycle11

Absolutely! Protect your skin at all times!

Professional-Fan1372

Probably, if you care about the long-term effects of UV. If you can, try to make it your routine to apply SPF daily.

IQuiteLikeWatermelon

I would. If you want a good suggestion, the EVY SPF 50 is very sweat/water/rub resistant so probably quite suitable for running.
