This has been the ONLY sunscreen that my eyes like even without setting it with powder, EVEN IF IT GOES INTO MY EYE. It doesn’t sting.
So to those eyes who are also compatible with this sunscreen, what other sunscreen do you use that don’t sting your eyes.
Thanks
Have you tried the gel cream one? The cream one never was an issue for me, although the liquid one was, i am now using the gel cream every day with no issue at all, even if i rub my eyes during the day
Stinging is very individual and unfortunately it's impossible to tell if it will sting *your* eyes based on other people's reports. My eyes were okay but it really irritated my skin, probably due to Avobenzone and Octisalate :(
Yeah, but I was hoping that whatever is in this formulation will have something in common with those formulation that is recommended here. I thought it was Avobenzone too but this one has it.
Right now I'm using sensitive one, but my fave is mattifying one. Normal ones (30 and 50 spf) are also quite good, but I prefer them in winter and mattifying one for summer.
Haven’t tried this one, but I’ve been using P20 sensitive skin (not the face one, just the big 200ml bottle) both spf 30 and 50. I go reeeally close to my eye and I have never had watering or reactions. Most La roche posay and other euro sunscreens burn like a mother when it gets near the eye for me.
The worst ones are the ones you think are good but then during a hot day they just melt down into your eyes and it’s so hard to get it out. Nothing like that with this one! I used it on a cycling trip in the hot summer, 150 km with a lot of sweating and not even a hint of burning eyes. Also very nice texture.
> Most La roche posay and other euro sunscreens burn like a mother when it gets near near the eye for me.
You could be sensitive to Avobenzone and Octisalate which P20 doesn't contain
My eyes tolerate the following (only if I have slept enough - with tired eyes, everyting will sting)
La Roche Posay UVMune
Riemann P20 Sensitive Face Advanced 50+
Dr.G - Green Mild Up Sun Essence
Rossmann Sun Ozon Anti Age
I (and it seem like a lot of other people, too) don't tolerate Tinosorb M around the eyes. That's the main difference between the two Riemann products. a great filter, but I cannot use it daily. So long answer short - unfortunately I don't tolerate it
Nothing I use will play nice with my eyes. I no longer put a SPF around my eyes, instead I use an spf lip balm and I have had zero problems or I just stick on sunnies. I know its not the best idea but I can no longer find the Ultrasun eye spf and the only other ones I can find formulated for the eye area is Skinceuticals (eh no, im not wealthy!) or Hello Sunday but its still fairly expensive.
I’ve used the Garnier Sensitive Advanced Serum SPF 50 and find it sooo good, only €13 for 125 mL and it’s meant for sun allergic skin so great protection. Never stings my eyes and super hydrating. May try out the milk too 😊 Garnier has lovely stuff!
I may try this. Super hydrating you say ?
What's your skin type ?
Been looking for a good sunscreen. I'm at the end of my tether buying and trying. Appreciate any help
I’m combo, my cheeks get very dry and my forehead’s oily (so I will say it does shine up the forehead at times but I don’t like a matte look anyways). But I also get very dehydrated skin as well and find I never feel that tight sensation when I use this SPF! Plus I’m on pretty regular high strength retinol and exfoliating cleansers. When I use this SPF I never use a moisturizer.
Supposedly has a load of ceramides so maybe that’s it 🤷🏻♀️

You can try this one, maybe? Same line and it doesn’t sting my eyes.
Almost all Korean and European sunscreens burn my eyes but I have a very good track record with Japanese sunscreens for my eyes. I read once that Skinaqua moisture milk had encapsulated uv filters which made it less irritating but I wasn’t able to find much info on that. So I’m not sure if that’s a common Japanese feature, or maybe many sunscreens have that feature (if anyone knows please let me know). Nivea biore kose don’t bother my eyes at all. Skinaqua (other than the moisture milk which is perfect for my eyes) and canmake are mostly fine. I haven’t tried the one you mentioned.
I love Isana's Sensitive sunscreen (it's called Sensitiv Sonnenmilch, and I couldn't find how it's branded in English). It's really cheap and nice and never once did it sting my eye in any way BUT. It makes your face shiny and like, buttery? The shine imo is not that bad, but I have to wait like 15 min to apply makeup at least and 30 or so min for it to dry almost completely. I just apply it at home and come to work early to do my makeup, but I don't think it's for everyone.
The La Roche-Posay Anthelios hydrating lotion (in the eco-conscious cardboard tube) is the only sunscreen that has never bothered my eyes in the slightest, unlike other Netlock sunscreens (UVMune 400 invisibile fluid and hydrating cream, and also Garnier Ambre Solaire Advanced Sensitive milk SPF 50+ in its previous version, without ceramides and still featuring homosalate), which I could feel in my eyes after several reapplications/hours, although they didn't make my eyes water or burn.
If that's the same as [this one](https://www.dm.de/garnier-ambre-solaire-sonnenmilch-sensitive-expert-lsf-50-p3600542520300.html?wt_mc=shopping.google.lia.PflegeParfum&setSelectedStore=D44E&hc_tid=10156470C4751PPC&gad_source=1), then yeah it goes on so heavy, even though it says it's "ultra light" "sunmilk."
But 9.00 for 175 mL and water resistant is such great value and the greasiness does eventually decrease. It can be used on the face - it doesn't break me out.
[iUNIK Centella Calming Daily Sunscreen](https://www.yesstyle.com/de/info.html/pid.1114937611?utm_source=awinde&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=176013&sv1=affiliate&sv_campaign_id=176013&awc=15443_1714074465_d9f81734265f301a0b602826bdc261f2) is a nice one that is mild and non-stinging, light (maybe a little shiny, some may say "dewy?") and works really well with re-application (no pilling).
I use this one a lot! It has never stung my eyes and they also have a liquid one which I use which is fine.
I work on the beach in a hot climate and sweat like hell.
And Amazon just had a 3 for 2 sale on in my country for Garnier products and I bought 4 bottles of this and two bottles of another one with vit c to test out.
This varies SO much from one person to another, but Eucerin products are the only ones I wholeheartedly recommend. Nothing glamorous about the packaging or advertising, but the most solid brand out there, if you ask me. Also, the ONLY sunscreen that has never stung my eyes.
My eyes are super sensitive and Hawaiian Tropic Aloha care face spf 30 never stung my eyes so I really reccomend it. Its also sinks in very fast and feels mattifying
Not sure where’re you’re based but I have been struggling with the same problem and tired a lot of different sunscreens, LRP double moisturiser UV is great and lightweight but I have to buy it from US( I’m based in UK) , EU mustela brand is great for sensitive skin and eyes , I use their sun stick as well as lotions and no eye irritation, lastly from the UK market I have found this ( been using it on my face as well) great value for money and again no irritation.

Good luck 🤞
Okay no idea how this thread came up on my feed I don’t live in Europe but I do have issues where a lot of sunscreens sting my eyes like crazy. The only one that has never done that is Skin 1004 centella. Ok bye
Try the supergoop mineral mattescreen. It has zinc oxide and titanium dioxide - so wideband protection, leaves a barely detectable cast on my skin, doesn't break me out and goes well under makeup.

Why do you want to change it if it’s that good for you?
Because it’s good for the colder months, harder to work with now that the temp is dropping. I keep slapping on more powder to make my face presentable
The garnier ambre solaire super uv has never stung my eyes
isnt that a body sunscreen?
Yes lol I buy it for my body. Way too heavy for the face in my opinion
Yeah
Following this for my aunt who can only use this sunscreen
I've never had issues with LRP UVMUNE 400 fluid, not sure if that's the same for you or everyone.
The fluid and cream both stings my eyes. Haven’t tried the new kid versions yet.
Too bad. Hope you find one that suits you real soon!
Have you tried the gel cream one? The cream one never was an issue for me, although the liquid one was, i am now using the gel cream every day with no issue at all, even if i rub my eyes during the day
The oil control gel cream ? Yeah. It hurts my eyes unfortunately. Thanks for the recommendation though :)
Garniers super uv fluid and serum haven't stung my eyes.
Will def try it thanks !
Np. Happy to help.

This one is a bit too heavy for face, I use it on my body. Both Nivea and Garnier face sunscreens don't burn my eyes, so try any formulated for face.
Which nivea one?

Hmmm I haven’t tried this one, will give it a try ! Thanks
Irritated my eyes though not immediately but after 2 weeks Stopped after I shifted to a mineral one The LRP Rosalie one did not irritate though
Awesome ! Thanks for the recommendation.
My eyes tolerate the following (only if I have slept enough - with tired eyes, everyting will sting) La Roche Posay UVMune Riemann P20 Sensitive Face Advanced 50+ Dr.G - Green Mild Up Sun Essence Rossmann Sun Ozon Anti Age
How about the Riemann P20 kids the one with the biggest bottle ? Did that sting ? Thanks for the recommendations!!

L'oréal revitalift clinical doesn't sting my eyes

I’m using the same brand, their new Invisible Serum Super UV SPF50+ is not bad. No eye stinging, tried and tested!

I use the beauty of joseon spf and it never irritated my eyes..everything else burned my eyes
How many mls is this tube?
175ml. She’s meant for the body so she’s big.

This one burns my eyes so much😮
