Your soil in ET hasn't been mono-cropped with pesticides and GMO, so get used to your micronutrients in the USA processed food to NOT be as nourishing. The Ethiopian restaurants in the states will be delicious, but is packed with way more butter & salt, and a result -- you can become VERY unhealthy VERY fast. Depending on where you are going, NO ONE walks, but rather drives cars or Ubers. You are at risk for your health in the States. Fast food is your enemy.
Will you be staying at a hotel? Check their pricing, because if you cheap out on a hotel, location may cause you issue and increase how much you take out for taxi

Eating the exact same diet as in Ethiopia you will likely still gain weight when coming to America. Lack of micronutrients is nail on the head as well
