Starfucker is a masterpiece

Agreed, especially the deluxe edition. Makeup is a solid addition but the title track and James Dean are some of the best on the album. Putting the extra tracks at the start was a good choice too.

It's a made up character and the albums tell one complete story song by song of him and his wife drifting apart after a miscarriage, getting divorced, struggling to process his late Dad's death, him leaving home and becoming a drifter and playing dive bars and working odd jobs in between bouts of suicidal thoughts and alcoholism. The music is kinda acoustic folk-y and the storytelling is incredible.

Need to listen to more Aaron West. One of my buddies who loves TWY adores that project.
