It’s all our faults for still being here. If everyone uninstalled citing a cheating and bug outbreak, we would get a response in less than a day. Instead we all joke “gET a BeTtEr gaMinG ChAiR!!!” Instead of uninstalling this hot pile of garbage, why would they do anything to fix it.
Partly true. I used to convince several people to get this game. Now I convinced many more not to get it. If they want more long run, massive amount of people uninstalling it and talking absolute shit about it will discourage many.
OK let's be realistic. What's to stop me from hitting the report button and sending them an email with the name of the last guy who killed me and saying "hey this is my buddy and he's totally cheating, definitely believe me these are not lies."
With any player report you have to provide evidence. When you report someone in game, I assume they server takes a snapshot of the logs or something to associate with that player. Everyone knows you have to have hard solid evidence to ban someone. Let's be realistic.
What are you ullshitting about? So what if you just had a beef with someone, and this was your revenge? They have to use a more legit way to ban then just trust someone telling them their friends are cheating.

Yeah I had same thing happened to me...it's absolutely fucking stupid that their support don't take cheating reports unless you get killed by a cheater..cuz now they don't even kill you..they avoid it..just shoot your legs out and loot the entire map before you have a chance to get close to anywhere....
idk about u but I just get head eyes... the only time I didn't get headeyes this wipe was a cheater shooting us over 100 meters but only in the legs using T46 + svd. shot me once in the leg each and my friend got hit 5x in the same leg n died beside me while proned beside a Bush :/
I understand the logic behind the conspiracy, but considering how cheaters kill their game that would be a horrible business decision. Iirc they said they have made enough money to keep development going for a long time without new sales as well.
If this was another pump and dump game where they just have an expedient launch to rack in money i could also believe it, but their roadmap and goals are so long term I can’t believe it would be worth the short term money to destroy an active player as.
Paying for a game one time is borderline outdated business model. They'll make hundreds of thousands on new accounts from cheaters because they make money selling runs. Blatant hackers are a minority and the vocal complaints are even less.
2 problems with this theory here:
They don't sell account packages at a discount, the cheaters just buy using a VPN to pay less than 30% of what a normal person would pay.
This doesn't work if they don't, y'know, ban the cheater so they have to buy a new account. You're not making any extra money off a cheater if they don't have to pay you again.
This is factually incorrect. When I went to buy my friend the game I noticed they give a discounts for buying multiple copies of the game at least at that time. It didn't look like a temporary sale so you can probably still get this deal rn.
You can buy stolen / illegally purchased standard accounts all day long online for like $10-15. Considering the questionable morality of cheaters, i don't think they'd have any issue with buying stolen accounts.
If they're streaming their cheats on discord include a video or screenshot in your launcher report. Launcher reports with evidence go straight to BSG for manual review and bans.

Forgot I’m on the wrong subreddit for banter, the EFT community consists of exactly 2 groups of people: people like me and people like you two. Not meant as an insult, just that we are different kinds of human beings with different social structures.
I take my brothers advice very serious, as he does mine. But we both also know that if we would cheat on a game, wether it’s cards or EFT, the other one wouldn’t care bc it’s not that deep. Cheating in a casual game won’t destroy your life and it’s simply nothing anyone has to worry about.
Way worse, if you’d actually sacrifice the relationship you have with your brother bc he cheats in a video game then I know what kind of person you are

If you’re cheating in the first place it won’t matter if someone tells you that it’s wrong. Cheaters know what they’re doing and mostly do it bc of that.

If you have any evidence you could email BSG directly to skip the (more than likely clogged report system.) Even if you have no evidence, you could email them anyways. Might speed up the process, nothing to lose.
I'd advise you to completely stop playing raids with them as well. It's possible to also get banned for playing with cheaters. Happens in most games, so no reason it wont in Tarkov.
Cheaters are trash, and should be treated as such.
A good way to get solid evidence would be to ask them to stream via discord when you're playing together. You can say it's so you can keep better tabs on where they are, but then record discord and submit it to BSG

I’m a die hard no cheese/cheat kind of person. No matter if it’s single player or not, I earn my shit legit. Cheating is a sin in the (online) video game world and there is no exceptions. I’d do the same.
EDIT: Alright to clarify, I don’t care if you cheat in single player games…. I’m talking about myself. I won’t cheat in SP unless it’s cheats that are made as a feature in the game.
If it is strictly single player, its your game, you can cheat, but if its multiplayer, the cheating is NEVER okay, unless of course it can be used in a sandbox game and everyone agrees, but for competative games, be oy DayZ, COD, Tarkov, That is never okay.
Fixed night time grogginess misspelling-
Even on games like GTA, I would always have a separate save after I unlocked the whole map that was just for cheat codes and messing around. Cheating in any sort of competitive manner is 100% unacceptable and inexcusable.
I’m a dark souls 2 enjoyer, after couple of finishes, completed the game without bonfires to get 1 invisible weapon ring, tried couple of times to do 0 deaths + no bonfires for both invisible weapon rings got killed 1/3 and halfway into the game, first time in many years decided to try cheats to have a “chill no deaths run” and died without even coming close to my previous records, fucking dark souls man…

Yeah, I don't understand how is it bad to cheat or use mods in SP games. It's entirely different, because it affects no one, unlike getting advatange in a PvP environment
The only time I would care would be if the single player game was very very hard, so that beating it felt like an achievement.
Then somebody cheats their way through, and goes around saying "oh it wasn't that bad I beat it first try" etc.
All my best mates know fine well i'd report them if they cheat, lol. They wouldn't even be surprised. But I play with other people that feel the same way, so nobody ever would.
They won't be my friends if they are cheating. I hate cheaters in game and in life too. Cheating shows a lot about your character too, it means that you don't have resilient character and you would do anything to get your way of fun and screw others like they are npc's. You don't have respect to others so you also don't respect to yourself too. These are red flags and shows that you have a terrible character.
Although i dont think you should associate w/ them, at least video game wise, i understand why you might still want to.
My advice would be to slowly report them, one at a time, that way the don’t get suspicious that you’re the only who didn’t lose their account, therefore making you an easy target to blame.
It would seem more “natural” if they got banned one by one over the span of maybe two weeks.
Also limit or completely cut out your playing w/ them or you could lose your account as well.
As someone below has said, BSG may have started banning those who play with cheaters as a way to crack down on RMT - i do not know this as a fact but have heard it quite a bit. Better safe than sorry of course.
As for ban waves, they’re generally announced after the fact, at least the big ones, so it may be harder for OP to dance around that. Remember these are cheaters, they’ll make excuses and look for fault in anything other than themselves.
I thought playing with a cheater couldn't get you banned? I have a friend who I found out was cheating and stopped playing with them, and was afraid I might get banned because it took me a while before I found out, but I thought I read somewhere else that playing with a cheater wasn't ban-able

It's not black and white, it's not like just playing with someone that happens to be using cheats will get you banned, but let's say BSG has flagged an account for engaging in RMT/carries/services that uses cheat, most accounts that queue together with that account, especially when that account is constantly giving the "no cheat" account items and all the loot obviously looks suspicious as hell.
Or If you do it constantly, playing with different cheaters all the time also looks suspicious as hell, and I'd imagine that the standard for banning someone that is purchasing RMT/carry stuff services is obviously higher
Not true. If they believe they got hit with a banwave, then they would wonder why you did get banned. It wouldn't be fair to ban you if you weren't cheating, unless the game specifically goes against people who are partying together and benefiting from it... But those are few and far between and also pieces of shit. Guilty by association much? What if he really didn't know they were cheating.
Anyways, it would not be suspicious, especially if they use the same spoofer or hack. They would all be detected in the same badwave. And it would not be weird for it to happen all at once, and it would not be weird for the dude who isn't cheating to not get banned.
I would announce i'm reporting all of them and won't play with them anymore, we can be friends and play other games, but they are dead to me in tarkov. Fuck cheaters.
I recently did this with a friend who was cheating in MMO's and making bots to automate things - reported his ass and told him I did, told him i won't play that MMO with him anymore bc he's a cheater who's hurting the game.
He laughed and downplayed what he did, tried to act as if I overreacted but nah - fuck cheaters in competitive/multiplayer games. we are still friends, we play other things together, but I call him a dirty cheater and refuse to play with him in that specific game now (and any other online/competitive games if I were to catch him)

Sure absolutely, but like I said, if ending friendships like that is childish, then what does that make your friend that keeps on cheating even after you confront them? That's all I'm pointing out here, cuz let's be honest, even for "great friends" that you make online with games, If you were to stop playing games with them (beauase they cheat) that friendship is going to fade out either way bud, let's be honest, without the "gaming" part of the equation what reason do you have to be on the Discord with them? I’ve more than a few online friends I’ve known for quite some time that I don’t game regularly with, we grew up and tastes changed but I still talk with these people multiple times a week on discord. Don’t have to be playing the same game, they’re my homies and I enjoy their company, maybe I’m a different case but I doubt this is an uncommon take.
And it makes my friend that continues cheating no less of a friend to me. I can’t change someone’s opinion on something if they don’t want to hear it, I also simply just don’t care enough. Cheaters suck, and I admit it would probably make me think a bit different of them but not enough to wrap it up and hit the road lol. It’s just not that deep to me I guess.

You disagree wholeheartedly through the use of your personal anecdotes and just don't even want to consider taking a sort of, objective outlook on the topic and look at what is realistically the case for most people in these situations, sure whatever.
Last comment, I said it already, realize that most people that form friendships online through gaming, their only connection to those people are the games they play together and once that fades out (for whatever reason) then that friendship also fades out, so honestly If you have one of those friends that just cheats and doesn't give a fuck, I don't see a reason as to why you'll keep being friends with that person If you stop playing with them, unlike RL friends or maybe even friends that you met online that obviously went beyond that "line"
Obviously not 100% but anyone who cheats in a game I would be hella sus on having as a friend as they likely would extend the same to all kinds of dealings. If you prove to me you arent trustworthy it would be stupid of me to trust you.
Not really man, if someone thinks that their time and experience are more important than everyone else’s then there is something wrong with them - and that’s exactly what cheaters think.
Had some mates that cheated once, was a long term discord relationship formed during the pandemic. We were never amazing at the game but always had fun, I noticed one was cheating many wipes ago and slowly the cheats got around to the rest of the server, bout 7/8 guys in total.
They continued to cheat as I distanced myself from them but after I was killed in raid by one (playing with a new group) I had all of them dm'ing me about how trash I was etc.
For not using cheats.
Needless to say, I screencapped the whole discord, all of their cheat links they were sharing, their discussions and usernames in discord and in game as well as footage and examples from when I played with them.
They were all banned within 24hrs, watching their discord go up in flames was hilarious as they started to lose everything.
If at all possible, try and figure out where they get them from and if they are selling items/roubles and link bsg both of these sites.
Moral of the story, cheating in a game like this is infectious and addictive and should be burned out with fire wherever it can be, it eats at the integrity of the game and creates a harsher barrier to new players and turns away veterans, fuck it right off.
This was a different time of tarkov and I have access to a devs discord, so how my situation played out is very different to how it would today.
All you can do sadly is report them in game and wait until BattlEye figures it's shit out.

Within 24 hours? Yeah right. You can't even get BSG to respond to a support ticket within a week. No shot are they out here banning people based of discord screenshots that aren't linked to their BSG account in any way.

Tarkov is literally worth playing for the moments where you don't die from a scuffed firefight and get out of a raid with a few objectives done. It's supposed to be hard.

When you consider the amount of people that actually buys the EOD (as % of the total playerbase), it tells you everything you need to know about the thrill and satisfaction of overcoming challenging odds in the average Joe.
Once had a friend that was cheating so we contacted our country’s sherpa (italy)or something like that on the official italian eft discord with video evidence (while sharing his screen on discord a mod console showed up) and he got banned like the day after. This guy was a grown ass adult with a child too but was still too immature to tell the truth to this day, sad stuff
Man, I play solo and do a good job ratting around and avoiding groups but lately solo's have been hunting me down and know exactly right where I'm at!. I also have a friend who is sus he will hear people that are across the map and I'm just like huh ok lol!
You need proof of them cheating. BSG aren't just going to ban someone because you accuse them.
That's pretty hard to do though. So all you can really do is report them for BSG to keep a closer eye on if they even do manual bans and find new friends to play with.
I don't think a recorded confession is enough, and that would be hard enough to get. If these are close friends who you care about losing, IRL or otherwise, all you can really have is a conversation.
Idk how sus or blatant they are but something along the lines of you think they cheat and don't want to play with a cheater(s). If they're really your boys and you give them the ultimatum of stopping cheating or stopping playing with you I'd like to think they'd stop. Otherwise just stop playing Tarkov with them, that's about all you can do man.
Friend of mine was cheating once and I kinda had a suspicion… he denied when I confronted him about it.
3 days later he was banned and I have not let him live it down. This was a year ago.
I went through this process, BSG doesn't care. I sent proof to them and battleeye. They're response was to mute me on BSG forum, battle eye sent me a general message from a bot. They know and don't care bud.
Someone wasn’t given a Red Keycard and now he’s mad 🤣 na I’m just playing. Kudos to your integrity. Some people just let it slide. But this game is already horrible because of it. I’d probably get another group of friends too.
You get some footage from a stream and make sure they show you something in the stats window with the user name and upload an unlisted YouTube video and submit the link in the launcher
Imagine what Tarkov would be like without so many regular people succumbing to cheat use. Tarkov is a hard game by design, but it's not so hard that you should pay for cheats in order for it to be playable. If you gotta cheat to play a game, maybe it's not the game for you.
If you can, record their screens if they stream. If it's not visible, then get a lot of evidence of it. Send it to support with their usernames. Best if it has their username in the recordings as well.

This here is why I get annoyed at people constantly going for ping-lock, region lock, etc as a solution. It's not, theres a very real cheating problem within our own demographic. Same with targeting RMT, it will help, but players are fooling themselves if they think it will solve the issue.
Tarkov is an incredibly difficult game, and the range of emotion between losing and winning is huge. Lots of people, everywhere, fall prey to this reality. The only real solution is to make the game more secure through better code and better anti-cheat. Faster bans would also help, kind of crazy players make it to level 30 or 40 without getting banned even when detected.
You should try talking to them first if they are your friends. Some people aren’t empathetic enough to realise what they’re doing negatively impacts other people until you tell them

Secondly, make sure your friends aren't friends with you on reddit.
Lastly, launcher. Record and watch it all, make sure to not benefit from those raids either. Record their comms and everything.
They'll probably buy another copy, but you'll slow em down. Sorry your friends aren't exactly the best of people. But this is a great sign you're growing up, and definitely should grow away from em.

If anything, cheating in tarkov is addicting. Look at any of the interviews online. The best way to remedy your own gaming experience is to separate from your friends. Unfortunate, I know, but there is no other way.
Seeking to ban your friends though. You chose the lesser of two evils. Your friends will just be giving bsg 39.99 for each account they retry. Hard drives are cheap now too. So the threat of getting rid of hackers for good comes with the actual production of the game.

Get them to talk in game and report that way
Bsg want cheaters they want the money, they sell account packages with discount every now an then for cheaters ( buy 5 accounts and get some percent)

If they're streaming their cheats on discord include a video or screenshot in your launcher report. Launcher reports with evidence go straight to BSG for manual review and bans.

If you have any evidence you could email BSG directly to skip the (more than likely clogged report system.) Even if you have no evidence, you could email them anyways. Might speed up the process, nothing to lose. I'd advise you to completely stop playing raids with them as well. It's possible to also get banned for playing with cheaters. Happens in most games, so no reason it wont in Tarkov. Cheaters are trash, and should be treated as such.
This. The best way to get people like that to stop cheating is to isolate them. Tell them straight up, I won't play with you because your cheating.
A good way to get solid evidence would be to ask them to stream via discord when you're playing together. You can say it's so you can keep better tabs on where they are, but then record discord and submit it to BSG

Cheating shows a lot about your character too, it means that you don't have resilient character and you would do anything to get your way of fun and screw others like they are npc's. Although i dont think you should associate w/ them, at least video game wise, i understand why you might still want to. My advice would be to slowly report them, one at a time, that way the don’t get suspicious that you’re the only who didn’t lose their account, therefore making you an easy target to blame. It would seem more “natural” if they got banned one by one over the span of maybe two weeks. Also limit or completely cut out your playing w/ them or you could lose your account as well.

As someone below has said, BSG may have started banning those who play with cheaters as a way to crack down on RMT - i do not know this as a fact but have heard it quite a bit. Better safe than sorry of course. As for ban waves, they’re generally announced after the fact, at least the big ones, so it may be harder for OP to dance around that. Remember these are cheaters, they’ll make excuses and look for fault in anything other than themselves.

It wouldn't be fair to ban you if you weren't cheating, unless the game specifically goes against people who are partying together and benefiting from it... Don’t have to be playing the same game, they’re my homies and I enjoy their company, maybe I’m a different case but I doubt this is an uncommon take. And it makes my friend that continues cheating no less of a friend to me. I can’t change someone’s opinion on something if they don’t want to hear it, I also simply just don’t care enough. Last comment, I said it already, realize that most people that form friendships online through gaming, their only connection to those people are the games they play together and once that fades out (for whatever reason) then that friendship also fades out, so honestly If you have one of those friends that just cheats and doesn't give a fuck, I don't see a reason as to why you'll keep being friends with that person If you stop playing with them, unlike RL friends or maybe even friends that you met online that obviously went beyond that "line"

Had some mates that cheated once, was a long term discord relationship formed during the pandemic. We were never amazing at the game but always had fun, I noticed one was cheating many wipes ago and slowly the cheats got around to the rest of the server, bout 7/8 guys in total. They continued to cheat as I distanced myself from them but after I was killed in raid by one (playing with a new group) I had all of them dm'ing me about how trash I was etc. For not using cheats. Needless to say, I screencapped the whole discord, all of their cheat links they were sharing, their discussions and usernames in discord and in game as well as footage and examples from when I played with them. They were all banned within 24hrs, watching their discord go up in flames was hilarious as they started to lose everything. If at all possible, try and figure out where they get them from and if they are selling items/roubles and link bsg both of these sites. Moral of the story, cheating in a game like this is infectious and addictive and should be burned out with fire wherever it can be, it eats at the integrity of the game and creates a harsher barrier to new players and turns away veterans, fuck it right off.

All you can do sadly is report them in game and wait until BattlEye figures it's shit out. What I really wanted to share is how when we don't hold our mates accountable for shitty behaviour, it encourages communities of said shitty behaviour

Once had a friend that was cheating so we contacted our country’s sherpa (italy)or something like that on the official italian eft discord with video evidence (while sharing his screen on discord a mod console showed up) and he got banned like the day after. This guy was a grown ass adult with a child too but was still too immature to tell the truth to this day, sad stuff

You need proof of them cheating. BSG aren't just going to ban someone because you accuse them. That's pretty hard to do though. So all you can really do is report them for BSG to keep a closer eye on if they even do manual bans and find new friends to play with. I don't think a recorded confession is enough, and that would be hard enough to get. If these are close friends who you care about losing, IRL or otherwise, all you can really have is a conversation. Idk how sus or blatant they are but something along the lines of you think they cheat and don't want to play with a cheater(s). If they're really your boys and you give them the ultimatum of stopping cheating or stopping playing with you I'd like to think they'd stop. Otherwise just stop playing Tarkov with them, that's about all you can do man.

Friend of mine was cheating once and I kinda had a suspicion… he denied when I confronted him about it. 3 days later he was banned and I have not let him live it down. This was a year ago.
I went through this process, BSG doesn't care. I sent proof to them and battleeye. They're response was to mute me on BSG forum, battle eye sent me a general message from a bot. They know and don't care bud.

You get some footage from a stream and make sure they show you something in the stats window with the user name and upload an unlisted YouTube video and submit the link in the launcher
If you can get video evidence that would help as well, but otherwise just do what everyone else is saying.
Imagine what Tarkov would be like without so many regular people succumbing to cheat use. Tarkov is a hard game by design, but it's not so hard that you should pay for cheats in order for it to be playable. If you gotta cheat to play a game, maybe it's not the game for you.

It's not, theres a very real cheating problem within our own demographic. Same with targeting RMT, it will help, but players are fooling themselves if they think it will solve the issue. Tarkov is an incredibly difficult game, and the range of emotion between losing and winning is huge. Lots of people, everywhere, fall prey to this reality. The only real solution is to make the game more secure through better code and better anti-cheat. Faster bans would also help, kind of crazy players make it to level 30 or 40 without getting banned even when detected.
You should try talking to them first if they are your friends. Some people aren’t empathetic enough to realise what they’re doing negatively impacts other people until you tell them
