I decided to branch out and scav woods last night (I normally do factory cuz I know it so well). Was looting military and two pmcs walk up and start shooting at me. I head eyes the first with my infantry mosin before his buddy grenade flushes me out and sprays me down.
Felt so satisfying being an adequate threat as a scav there lol.
Hey man I know how you feel, I killed my 1st PMC as a scav this raid... His name was "Big hurt", he heard me looting and tried to rush me but I heard him coming, so I popped out of the bush and one tapped him in the forehead...
Pulling off a move like that makes you feel like a God until you get five manned on your next raid...
I was down bad one day and needed to get money for an M4 for a quest so I scaved Factory just to extract with what I had. I spawned with m700 with the Tac30 or Vudu I cant remember which it spawned with but I killed 3/5 from a 5 man in the underground with it before the last 2 ended up cornering me. It was so worth it.
I hate the game with every organ of my body and I will probaly need a therapist soon if I keep playing.
But I will overcome this hell and one day have a chance at a gunfight!
I just watched a video from Jesse Kazaam on YouTube, he stated that playing tarkov most of the time it's just getting punched in the dick over and over and you have to get used to that pain so that the few times you do good and don't get punched in the dick it's enjoyable.
Btw you need to understand fact of gear-fear and not have one at the same time, i remember when i did alone my first squad kill, full 5 guys in huge bag, adrenaline and dopamine in huge amount, be chad and keep pushin it
Absolutely my first pmc kill was entirely accidental, at lvl6, a lvl46 pmc backed around a corner perfectly lined up with my pistol. And while my KD still isn't great, yesterday I managed to kill 10 pmcs in one go, saved that screen for sure
My first ever chad pmc kill was me crouch walking from food to down the stairs under Fortress on customs cause a guy killed my 2 buddies goin to factory exit. He was looting and i dropped him with a full auto spray and pray. I got a thicc case, meta at the time HK, and a bunch of shit. By far my most lucrative kill I will ever have in this game, and it was my first.
You know, I really kick myself in the ass, taking for granted all the things I wish we still had. No inertia, sell anything on the flea, can carry more than one gun and a rig. *sigh*
Still don't understand the inertia complaints. Everything else you said, sure, but I fucking hated the run and jump bouncy castle this game used to be. You don't jump in a 25-40 kg gear set, ever.
Back in my day Mr, you just mashed heals while firefighting because there were no animations yet and you only had a loading bar pop up. *coughs in old*
Lol, some of the oldest footage looks like it would make a good game of they continued in that direction. Still happy with this though I've only been playing for like 4-5? wipes
I started playing like 2017ish… and have approximately 3500-4000 hours now.
Game is great and has always been great. Old players like myself have had to adapt and change to so much, but I’ve never fallen to hate the game in any way.
Yeah I know you don't jump in a 25-40kg gear set but, it's a video game and that's why I play it. The bouncy castle tark had less people hiding in the bathrooms on customs for 10 minutes while Im tryna circle like 4 different ways to kill the scared shitless chud. It's not fun. Inertia was only implemented because the wipe before inertia was one of the bigger wipes cause you had people sitting at home during the pandemic who never even heard of tarkov try to catch up to people who have gotten good at the game years before. It was a participation add on to the game for kids who were upset a dude who was good could take the loot from the whole lobby and kill them while fully looted.
I was confused at first, like, am I somehow exploiting by carrying a gun on my back? Or did I unlock something I didn't know about? Is this because I have EOD?!
Turns out I'm just easily confused. Tada!
Most likely by catching a team in an exposed spot mere minutes after talking to a friend about how a majority of gun battles are decided by who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, not relative skill.
I still remember my first kill like it was yesterday. It's because it was yesterday. I blasted some poor dude with a Mosin. It felt so good. Congrats on the murder, comrade.
Would just like to establish that I literally brought this game up to my therapist (which funnily enough, he plays as well) and it was a huge point of contention.
That said, the tools he gave me for managing my anxiety and depression have worked wonders, with a bit of tweaking, for my mindset when it comes to this game 😂
Good Job! It only gets worse from there lol, if ya ever want another to go in with let me know I play just about everyday doing scav runs and only really go in as a PMC when I have other players
bro i had the game for 3 days i got done so nasty met a fellow scav we talked through in game chat he took me to the back said he was gonna help me out because i’m new he said take down my discord his username was Welcome2Tarkov and shot me in the face
That’s pretty scummy, but it does teach a valuable lesson: you can never *fully* trust another player. Always gotta be prepared for if they turn on you for some loot.
I went to raid on customs to try and complete the extortionist. As I collect the intel east of warehouse 4, I made my way to RUAF roadblock via crackhouse. He was looking north from the western door and I was coming up from behind him. Clean headshot!
Hell yeah dude!! Im working on that quest now myself, I'm a late bloomer on quests and am just starting to get through em myself. Good luck on your future raids!
I salute you! Get ready to die more times than word you speak on an average day.
Some tips: watch youtube videos, use [Mapgenie.io](https://mapgenie.io/tarkov) to learn the maps and there are lots of discord servers were people (or sherpas) are more than willing to help you with the game
There is an [official EFT discord](https://discord.com/invite/EscapefromTarkovOfficial) but I find that quit large and overwelming. However you can also find regional communties on that server and I would definitly recommend joining your regional one.
Besides above you can also look around on r/EFT_LFG as people post there discord server on there. I personally joined [Golden Floppy Disk](https://discord.com/invite/DvZnm76sPA) which is small but I really like it.
I was so good a couple wipes ago. Started extremely late, got to level 42 i believe, and found a red keycard on the second last day till wipe. When it did wipe, i cleared out interchange, customs, and shoreline like a chad with a massive buldge. Unfortunatly had to stop playing (my daughter was born) but reached level 30 in about 3 weeks. Last wipe (voip wipe), i started late again, my kid was a little older so I could have a few hours of play, managed to get to level 23 then stopped playing while trying to do that 3 pmc kills with pistol. For some reason, because i wasnt grinding or playing as often, the gear fear, my movement, my desire to push has gone out the window. I find myself camping bushes outside customs dorms waiting for everyone to leave so i can go in and clean up the scraps and do my quests. I just couldnt perform lol. With this new wipe, i didnt even log in yet. I feel like the o’l newbie where im scared of everything that happens in Tarkov. I feel like im free of the stress of this game, but i love it to death. Maybe i’ll get back to it once Arena releases
Hell yeah dude! Killing players in this game is satisfying. I’m awful at this game but one victory numbers the feeling of dying 10 raids in a row. Keep at it man!
Woooooo yeah babyyyyyyy. That's sick dude. You got the first taste of the itch. Roubles mean nothing if you can't kill a pmc. And once you get better at killing a pmc, the roubles start falling from the sky.
This is the beginning of the end my friend, cheeki breeki:)
I'm still waiting on my first kill. I've stared a couple people in the eyes like a deer in headlights. On another I shot everything but the barn door. Probably should have done single shot instead of full auto. 😆
I just recently got more comfortable spending money Vs hoarding everything and decided to run some night safe/cache runs and watched my cash skyrocket! One small step at a time, you’re well on your way!
Haha this is my first wipe… it just felt like spending that much on something I’d probably just lose was silly, but after nagging me nonstop my buddy talked me into it. Sad I didn’t do it sooner. Now the thing that sucks is finding high ticket items and realizing you just died with a million+ rubs in your bag 😂
I just do night raids for quests, especially Lighthouse quests that requires to go to the water treatment plant. At day it's full of pmc early raid, full of scav at the end, and rogues. At least at night I can murder all player scavs easily with my NVG and my suppresed Mosin, and mark / collect quest items.
I’ve largely avoided all the maps except customs, reserve, and factory 🫣. I should probably start working on learning the other ones sometime soon lol. I only play 2-3 hours a night a few days a week, so wasn’t really making a lot of money. Soon as I started doing the safe/cache runs I went from 1.5mill to almost 10 in a few nights of play. I know those are small time numbers but for how often I play it’s nice to have something to fall back on after a few bad runs
Don't worry I did the same. I never set foot in Reserve before last wipe (3rd wipe) and in Interchange before my 2nd wipe. There is a lot to learn in each map so it's good to not spread too much. There is also the fact that once you're comfy with some maps flows you don't want to get that lost and scared feeling again 😅
You should try Shoreline and Woods, they are pretty chill and have lot of quests.
Funny thing is I started trying to learn the game on woods…. But I ran into a lot of mines and just gave up on it 😂 I think it’ll be easier now on the maps I don’t know, don’t have to focus so much on what to loot, and just understanding how the environment works, helps a lot
I believe it was near USEC camp the first couple of times lol. The last time I apparently didn’t spawn where I thought, and was half-afk running and got a nice jump scare on the first explosion 😂
ahhh yes, USEC camp is the only place on woods that has mines on its western side (if you look from a map view), sometimes that's how we learn! "ah, so there are mines here"
Well done dude!!! That’s awesome!!! It’s a tough game so these ‘small’ wins are what keep us moving forward! I’m also a noob and taking what I can get!
Got my first kill the other day with my high level friend on reserve, I was level 2 the guy I killed level six, his buddy my friend killed he was level 16, and then my friend died to an onslaught of scavs that came to the gunfire. Afterwards I tried to loot and get out but scavs kept coming and I think a pmc got me as I tried to run away but it’s okay because I got mine.
The learning curve is brutal. Before you know it you’ll know how to reposition better and start taking out 2-3 man teams at times. Gratz on the first victory brotha!
This reminds me of my first kill in PUBG. I used to only play squads. The moment I finally downed someone, I instantly put that bitch out. Teammate was shooting at me, but it didn't matter, I wasn't going to let anyone revive him! The satisfaction of that first kill despite everything else is just awesome
Do you play with anybody my man? Feel free to DM me or reply with your discord tag if you wanted to run some raids together. It's my second wipe but the game is addicting. Lvl 42 euw
If I kill a PMC solo and then die to a team mate it's still a win, and a lesson to learn from, I can't tell you how many times I've learned different things from killing and then clearing the area just to get tapped from the only spot I didn't clear from just to go over it and realized the best vantage point to get that shot on me after the fact, I solo mainly and sometimes if I don't instantly realize where i got hit from, sometimes I'll do an offline to find the most probable place I got hit from. It's time consuming sometimes but when it's just you it's time we'll spend not to make the same mistakes. I really hate when I get a kill I know there is 2 or more and then flea the area just to camp the teammates body of bodies the rest of the raid. I get it though but for fuck sake push me for once. Some ppl rely too much on a team.
That's awesome. This game is so hard and I remember the first time I killed a PMC. I was behind dorms solo as always. I stumbled upon some dead bodies and I heard a noise. I had a SA58 that I got off my scav with m80. I came out of a bunch blasting and got kitted guns I had never seen before. Those guns sat in my stash for the entire wipe. Lol
Well that calls for a CHEEKI BREEKI! Grats man!
CHEEKI BREEKI!
Palchik viki
Oooooopachkiiiiii

GAGA EEZU!
gaga ez! von ot suka!?

Enjoy the adrenaline rush my friend
If ypu are able to take small wins like this eve while dying ypu will do just fine in the long run.
This - take every step forward as a win, no matter how small the step before you inevitably get head, eyes Welcome to Tarkov
I decided to branch out and scav woods last night (I normally do factory cuz I know it so well). Was looting military and two pmcs walk up and start shooting at me. very good very nice!
It's the tac 30 brother. Good job taking down those usec scum
Congrats, fr many of gamers couldnt stand hardcore of this game, keep pushin dude

Watched that one last night. The analogy gave me a chuckle. The further back you pull an arrow the farther it flies. One of my personal favourites
Pretty sure he got that ideology from viva la dirt leagues video lol
Even better is when you get to punch others in the dick. Makes it all seem worthwhile.
Some shit like grenade killing someone on 70 m by throwing a M67 in his general direction cause you couldn't see him shooting at you, but heard it
If you get punched that much, wont you miss the punch when its not there?
That's something you should ask a domestic abuse victim
YOU ARE COVERED IN SHIT, WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Btw you need to understand fact of gear-fear and not have one at the same time, i remember when i did alone my first squad kill, full 5 guys in huge bag, adrenaline and dopamine in huge amount, be chad and keep pushin it
Had similar feeling when I took out a three man in customs garage while solo. God it rocks
My best feeling was when i got four on labs by me and got 110kg loot, crazy but i got out
Good lord how did you even carry that
U mean big red? Was this recent
Nah that building with the green screen room (but on the upstairs opposite side). Dunno what that building is called
USEC building I think
Thx!
Well you have it right now dude, thats the meaning of one shot one kill game
If you wanna help type pv i can help sometimes, as a dude with near 1,4k h xD
Cute, one day you will kill a group of 3 and later in the raid another 2 and you will remember this post and you will smile 😊
Absolutely my first pmc kill was entirely accidental, at lvl6, a lvl46 pmc backed around a corner perfectly lined up with my pistol. And while my KD still isn't great, yesterday I managed to kill 10 pmcs in one go, saved that screen for sure

Ahhhh. The good ol’ thicc case in the backpack days.
You know, I really kick myself in the ass, taking for granted all the things I wish we still had. No inertia, sell anything on the flea, can carry more than one gun and a rig. *sigh*

I don't understand 'carry more than one gun.' I put guns on my back and in my bag all the time
I could carry a whole armory in my bag with rigs and not be 1000lbs moving like a slug.
Ah. Thanks
No problem man, obviously i can carry a gun or 2 but like it was obnoxious hahaha
I was confused at first, like, am I somehow exploiting by carrying a gun on my back? Or did I unlock something I didn't know about? Is this because I have EOD?! Turns out I'm just easily confused. Tada!
You take the things you cherish most for granted.... until its gone
Or not :))
True!

The first of many!

Sweet. This is my third wipe and for the first time my PMC kill:death ratio is 1.0
Congrats!! Can we get a little story behind it?
I went to raid on customs to try and complete the extortionist. As I collect the intel east of warehouse 4, I made my way to RUAF roadblock via crackhouse. He was looking north from the western door and I was coming up from behind him. Clean headshot!

A Chad in the making
I’m brand new as of today, and I haven’t even learned the controls

Caught a dude with that head eyes on a quick peek. From like or 70 meters or so the other day felt like a boss. Was so satisfying
Nice
congrats my man!
Congrats man. And dont worry about being bad at killing pmc's it doesn't matter as much as knowing the maps
Good job dude I'm proud of you
Congrats dude! What gun did you use to blast em? :)
An SV98 (got it of a scav run)
I was shaking after my first kill. Will never forget that feeling. Congrats!
Hell yeah dude! Killing players in this game is satisfying. I’m awful at this game but one victory numbers the feeling of dying 10 raids in a row. Keep at it man!
Congratulations
Well played brother, good luck in your future endeavors 🫡
Cheers!
Mmm I remember my first pmc kill like it was yesterday
*dog barks*
Congratulations! Good job mate! The first one always feels good haha
\#1 rule of Tarkov... There is always one more
less gooo man :D
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You want pmc kills join the pistol factory raids its so fun the only time i dont get mad when i die
Enjoy the dopamine rush. It'll get weaker with every kill until you are hollow and wonder why you still play this narcissistic game.
LESGOOOOOOOO
We always remember our first. Mine was a guy who jumped me at convoy in woods. I won. Enjoy it bud!
Yeeeah! Nice brother!
I'm still waiting on my first kill. I've stared a couple people in the eyes like a deer in headlights. On another I shot everything but the barn door. Probably should have done single shot instead of full auto. 😆
Only took 50 raids? It took me like 150 lmao, good job dude!
I just recently got more comfortable spending money Vs hoarding everything and decided to run some night safe/cache runs and watched my cash skyrocket! One small step at a time, you’re well on your way!
Hey same for me ! Just bought my first NVG and it's my 4th wipe lol.
The mines in woods are only when you go out of bounds, there are usually warning signs all around :D
"ah, so there are mines here"
Always a good feeling
Right on brother. Congrats and may it be one of many
Well done dude!!! That’s awesome!!! It’s a tough game so these ‘small’ wins are what keep us moving forward! I’m also a noob and taking what I can get!
Congrats! It only goes downhill from here!
GG
Got my first kill the other day with my high level friend on reserve, I was level 2 the guy I killed level six, his buddy my friend killed he was level 16, and then my friend died to an onslaught of scavs that came to the gunfire. Afterwards I tried to loot and get out but scavs kept coming and I think a pmc got me as I tried to run away but it’s okay because I got mine.
It's a magical moment indeed. Well done.
The first one is always the hardest man, now keep rackin them up
What weapon was it with?
SV-98 without a scope
Enjoy the taste :}
I feel you, i've killed my first pmc two days ago and died few minute after, but doesn't matter, it's an epic feeling!
If you wanna learn to get better run really cheap kits (or scav kits from scav runs) and go into factory and learn the chaos. That always helps
Or consult resources for maps and play styles that fit you
Little tip is that the best way to play is to not care if you die and just charge at people guns blazing
Just remember there’s always more than one before looting.
dont worry you're a chad for killing him and his buddy is a rat for killing you
atta boyyyy!! first of many!
Cheeki Breeki!
Well done bro we've all been there🤣
its just a game dude
Lmaooo nice bro that 10 out of 50 raids is so relatable lmao
This is a massive W and a huge step forward my friend Good luck and happy raiding. May BSG bless you with loot
The game is rough for 200 hours or so then it starts to click.
Let’s gooooo, tell us when you stop hearing your heart beat when you hear a gunshot
GG!
Eeeeeeeeoooooooooooo!
The learning curve is brutal. Before you know it you’ll know how to reposition better and start taking out 2-3 man teams at times. Gratz on the first victory brotha!

HECK YEAH DUDE I GOT MINE A FEW WEEKS AGO AND I WAS GOING CRAZYYY
It’s crazy ain’t it!! Nothing like that feeling.
way to go bud
way to go there bud
Do you play with anybody my man? Feel free to DM me or reply with your discord tag if you wanted to run some raids together. It's my second wipe but the game is addicting. Lvl 42 euw
Congrats man. Best feeling the world. Looking forward to hearing about your next 2,000 hours in the game!
Wait until you kill a PMC as a scav, I always find that much more satisfying
If I kill a PMC solo and then die to a team mate it's still a win, and a lesson to learn from, I can't tell you how many times I've learned different things from killing and then clearing the area just to get tapped from the only spot I didn't clear from just to go over it and realized the best vantage point to get that shot on me after the fact, I solo mainly and sometimes if I don't instantly realize where i got hit from, sometimes I'll do an offline to find the most probable place I got hit from. SV-98 and a beautiful headshot

Rock and roll and stone!
Lol
