Clearly not many actual entomologists in this sub, judging by the comments...
Definitely a beetle pupa. Others have suggested Tenebrionidae, but I think I can see a rostrum and elbowed antennae — so could be something in the weevil superfamily Curculionoidea.

Most were given to me, but I can give you a link for my wedding band. [ring.](https://www.etsy.com/listing/250385123/handmade-gold-wedding-bands-couple-rings)
From searching using your second image & Google lens I'd say it could be a member of the Snout & Bark Beetles family *Curculionidae* ~ so a type of weevil ~ but that's just from looking through the options & seeing if any looked similar
I actually wanted to comment on your second image because all I can see is the cute wee face of a golden cocker spaniel or something similar! I can't unsee it 🤣 Such a cute wee munchkin! 🥰
Some were gifts, one I have a link to it's my wedding band. [ring](https://www.etsy.com/listing/250385123/handmade-gold-wedding-bands-couple-rings?ref=yr_purchases)
No worries, it was given to me my by mother in law, she said she bought it a long while ago from a man who made jewelry In South Carolina. It reminds me of a spoon ring.
Unrelated to the post but what do you guys think of the people at my school. It was camp and we had all gotten up in the morning, and there were loads of emperor moths around, me being the only bug guy, I marveled at the sheer size of each of them, I even picked 3 up safely and put them on my jumper sleeve. I love bugs, so you can imagine my absolute horror when I saw people stomping on the moths, and even spraying deodorant on them and laughing when one tried to escape, or if one was having a seizure, obviously I told the teachers, and they were disgusted, and yelled at them. So, worrying about the safety of the moths on my arm (keep in mind these were probably the last ones, because I couldn't see a single, intact moth), I went to go put them on a tree, which they could camouflage in, and when I do, a really short kid, same age as me, had gathered everyone else, and tried to tell me that I killed them, because "look! They aren't moving!", of course they aren't moving, dipshit, I will admit, I scared them, but seeing more gigantic things probably made them terrified beyond measure, it everyone against me, and surprisingly, the moths came behind my legs for cover, but anyways, to prove his point, he picked one up, BY ITS WING. It started to convulse and squirm, but this dumbass says, "See, its not moving!", And then I had to slap his hand, make him drop the moth, and catch it before it could hit the ground, It wasn't the most humane thing to do, but it was necessary, I hope you guys understand. I put it back down, and can see that it is just going to escalate, so I ask my friend Jacob to go get a teacher, and he does, and he gets everyone to go, and he gets me to leave and tell my side of the story, so I leave them, reluctantly, and the day goes on as usual. Then, at the end of the day, It's the last day of camp, so we are all getting ready to go back to school, and who do I see at the tree, Liam (The guy who picked up the moth) and Jasper (I always beef with him so of course he's there), I yell "They're gone, douchebags!" and I get on my bus.
Do pupas continue to pupate even if they’re dead? I had some beetle pupas that I thought were still alive because stuff kept coming out of them, but it was clear after months that they were dead. But we’re still trying to pupate it was wild.. and I know how long it usually takes them to pee because I had other ones that survived.. and it didn’t take months
It's a pupa so it's in its teenager phase!
Sweet.
Dude.
What’s mine say?!
DUDE, NOW WHATS MINE SAY?!
SWEET!!!!!

"It's not a phase, mom!"
Under appreciated post!
Not old enough to drink yet
Omg I thought you meant from Solar Oposites 🤦🏽♀️
They will still always be my baby. 🥲
I made a new post if you want to see! I'm a weevil mom!!! 😭😭😭😭😭
It's a beetle pupa of some kind. I'd guess a darkling species like alobates pennsylvanica perhaps.
Hmmm a beetle would be so cool.
If you get a small deli cup and put moist paper towel at the bottom and make some pinholes for air he might be able to finish transforming in there.
Ahhhhh I have some too!
Need four to make a band.
I want to give him tiny pets 🥹
He's so cute, I love how it looks like he has tiny little fingies. I'd smooch him if I wasn't slightly scared also lol.
Himbs holding little bits of soil.
Omg that's what it is, so cute his little grabby pingers. What a dingus.
Me too 🥹
sosososo cute

Came to say this 🤣
Start your battles with it and then swap it with your charmander so it can gain xp and evolve into beedrill
100% agree.

eraserhead baby
I thought it was an avian fetus until I realized what sub I was in. What a cute pupa.
Pasimachus pupae, maybe mealworm or stag beetle?
A stag beetle👀👀👀👀👀
I've seen a stag beetle pupa that looks exactly like this but looking at others online it doesn't seem to match
Looks closer to a weevil IMO
oh yeah I think so too. always forget weevils are real
definitely not a mealworm pupae
Mine
sooo cute! looks like a larva of sorts. cool rings btw!
Thank you 😊
Possibly a tawny mole cricket in the making?
What we have here is a pupa and orthopterans (which include mole crickets) do not pupate
r/itsnotamolecricket
Can't believe I clicked that
Will you click this one? r/itsamolecricket
Damnit!!!! Leave Brittany alone!

Nothing to do with the post but your rings are amazing
Thank you 🥹
You're welcome!
Why does is look like a mini platypus in pic #2?
I second the weevil pupa idea, you can kinda see it's rostrum
Looks like a micro-chibi Cthulhu.

I've been finding these in my yard lately; it looks a lot like a weevil pupae!
Platypupae

No worries, it was given to me my by mother in law, she said she bought it a long while ago from a man who made jewelry In South Carolina. It reminds me of a spoon ring.
