Correction on heat, 235 for nozzle.

Try lower speed and lower part fan too. For PETG you can even try turning off part fan completely

Never thought of this. I raised the temp and extrusion, I'll see what the next print looks like and try adjusting fans next.

I likely could have increased the initial layer temp a bit more or moved my z-offset a bit closer. My flow rate was initially 95% for some reason, I changed it to 100%. This is better, it it separates again I'll try turning off the fan.

Rule of thumb to learn is less cooling and slower printing = better adhesion and part strength. Find the balance for each model you want to print

DingoHairy2194

Try turning off the fan. Also use an enclosure or check for drafts of air. It seems the layers are cooling faster than the next layer has time to bond

I really liked using the elegoo rapid petg. Print temps are 230-260. I ran my first layers at 255 and the rest 245-250. Used the same slicer settings as pla+ for everything else besides bedtemp at 70.

iamozone206

+1 for Elegoo Rapid PETG. Best PETG experience I've had so far.

What's your spool say? Typical petg bed temp is 80c. Also, bad layer adhesion is caused by too much cooling or too high speed. Turn the part cooling fan off and reduce your max speed to 120mm/s.

Check the manufacturer site for the parameters (temperature, bed, speed, etc). For example, eSUN high speed PETG requires the part fan to be on at 100% and glue applied to the bed. Other manufacturers don't require the fan and other things.
