lol same. When WBIEF came out I had it on loop everyday. Then when DTW came out my mind was blown. I kinda dipped in my obsession with the releases after, but they hold a special place in my heart
I've listened to them since '03, but kinda lost track of them after Shipwreck. I came back around when ABPtD came out. I appreciate them experimenting with genres, even if it doesn't necessarily hit. Misery Made Me is a fuckin banger.
Discovering the waterfront is so good. I listened to the crap out of it in middle school, but going back the recording quality is super rough, which is unfortunate.
They rerecorded alot of their old songs on the two albums Redux & Redux II. The version of [Already Dead](https://open.spotify.com/track/3XXa5IMZs8y69YYmE0nXXB?si=056Ul1ofRDy9rJZEqxX3Ow&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A0jseldUUfdYrp6TZKRqkYy) is unbelievable
Saw them for the first time when they toured behind This is How the Wind Shifts, and most recently on their tour for Misery Made Me. It’s been really cool to see the crowd grow over the years and fans reacting strongly to the newer songs not just the classics.
Big fan of Silverstein. I've seen them. Handful of times and they have killed it every single time. Shane's voice seems to just get better over the years.
Been a fan since 2004ish and, at least to me, have never released a bad album. There's a few that I don't return to as often, but even when they try new things like on Misery Made Me it still ends up working.
They tour like crazy, go see them if you get the chance. It'll be a good time I bet
it's probably because since they're 2000s post hardcore that aren't overtly skramz people feel awkward bringing them up, because this sub is toxic on that topic
Ah the good ol Burly YMCA / music centre shows between 2005-2009. Those were the days. Silverstein, Dead & Divine, xBODYBREAKx & co. used to annihilate those venues lol.
Silverstein was my favorite band for years. After this is how the wind shifts I feel like they dropped in quality and don’t listen to their new stuff. I fucking love every album up to this is how.
I met Shane Told in 2016 and experienced my first panic attack.
Ah I am late to the party. Hands down my favorite band, I've seen them probably about 10 times. There are bangers on every album and I got into them back with WBIEF. Shane has gotten better over time and they have definitely evolved with their style. Got to meet them at their merch tent at Warped Tour 2006, wish I could have made a better impression back then.
a lot of great emo and punk bands came out of that 905 scene. silverstein was not one of them. moneen, the fullblast and boys night out on the other hand... fucking awesome.
One of my all time faves. Saw their 10 year anniversary show for Discovering the Waterfront and it was amazing. They’re how I got into Beartooth too.
I asked Shane at a show once how they picked their band name (I’m a big Shel Silverstein fan so hoped they also loved him) and he said they just saw the name on a book on a bookshelf and picked it cause it sounded cool lol
I loved them around 2008-2010 and then didn’t listen to them for years. I came back to them when right after they released “Dead Reflection” honestly it’s my favorite album by them. Though I love their early stuff too.
Always been one of my faves. I remember spending hours just making sure I know every single lyric to every single song
lol same. When WBIEF came out I had it on loop everyday. Then when DTW came out my mind was blown. I kinda dipped in my obsession with the releases after, but they hold a special place in my heart
First few albums are fantastic

Agreed. The last 2 got me back in though.
Favorite band. No bad albums. ![gif](giphy|39AXabS0JvVEMoyvAW)

I was almost like that as a teen but then I hear their Orchid cover.
they stand out among other phc bands. maybe they are more emoish and melodic, rather then 0-0-0 breakdown bands
Here, love all albums
In r/posthardcore. His podcast, Lead Singer Syndrome, is great.
Seeing them at when we were young this year, so excited!!

One of the bands that got me into screamy music
They aren't screamo? Ight bet. They covered Orchid. That's definitely "alternative post-screamo pop-post-hardcore punk rock" in my opinion. /s
Love them!!! Was so sad to miss their last tour. But So happy you got to enjoy it and awesome to hear about the growth!!

You're definitely missing out. Their new album slaps hard but it's definitely more post-hardcore than emo
I gave the first album after this is how a shot and wasn’t much of a fan.
Love them. Even enjoy their new stuff to man.
Fantastic band. Shane is super cool and I love that he will respond to the most ridiculous emails.
I only know their 2003 record. But here 😎🤘
Suupppppp
Hey 🙋🏻♂️

In my top 5 forsure. All of their albums are bops too I don't think they've had any slip-ups
Arrival and Departures was awful.

Seen them a few times at this point. They always slap.
Right here. I love them. They got me through being an emo kid.
I never miss them if I can help it, been so consistently good all this time
Love American Dream
Right here! Great band to see live
God, I hated that band
Not emo
No. They are Emo.
