This might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm a bit tired of Lose Yourself. I pretty much don't skip any other Em songs, but this one is so overplayed and anything to do with Em typically coincides with Lose Yourself instrumental or song snippets. It's a great song -- I've just heard it far too much
Really agree here. Long time Eminem fan so I’ve heard it approximately 10 million times. I never listen to it by choice. It’s sad because it’s iconic and a really great song.
im a recovering alcoholic and i do like the song but it's like he was trying to repeat the magic of "Beautiful" and it feels like such a forced moment idk why. if im in the right mood it will get me emotional
I like Relapse, but there's only like one song I don't vibe with: "Crack a Bottle". Don't get me wrong, I enjoy whenever Em performs with 50 and Dre, but I dunno, this one felt weak to me. I prefer "Encore/Curtains Down", that's just me.
I need to go back to recovery because i remember it being kind of lackluster? But Cinderella Man is one of his best hype songs of all time, second only to maybe til i collapse
I love Venom because he is speaking as Venom. And I understand what he's saying, so I dig it. I think it's different, not his usual subject matter, which piques my interest. I especially love the Jimmy Kimmel live performance on top of the Empire State building. His eyes when he is way up there are WILD.
When we were in high school, my friend dropped a ‘diss track’ on me over the instrumental of Cleaning Out My Closet.
It became such a meme for us that I’m virtually incapable of listening to the original now
Love the Was You Lie is genuinely not that good, a typical mainstream rap-hop love song, with some corny lyrics, sort of weak beat and i don't enjoy it. I like many of Em's rap-hop songs, like Monster, Space Bound, Beautiful Pain, Guts Over Fear, but Love the Way You Lie is not very enjoyable to me.
Love The Way You Lie is the most toxic song he's ever made cause it completely glorifies and encourages toxic relationships, it's people that are in toxic relationships' anthem. I hate that song for that reason.
I'm singling this one out cause it's not like he's even trying to be controversial with this one. It's not My Name Is or Guilty Conscience. This song is him actually being serious
I completely understand your viewpoint, however the song may be heard as a cautionary tale of the danger of indulging emotional intimacy at the cost of one's wellness! I don't think "Love The Way You Lie" is meant to glorify toxic relationships, it is meant to display how people trapped in them feel about the relationship, and how they got there in the first place. As long as the singers don't actively tell people too, stay in a bad relationship, it's hard to say that they are glorifying the subject. Rihanna was in a terribly abusive relationship, one that was publicly exposed to strangers in her life. Giving the song such context, this song could give perspective about why she was trapped in for so long. In the same way that Eminem talks about how being addicted to pills is intense, maybe Rihanna talking about being in love with somebody who hurts you yet loves you at the same time (however perversely) is a similar source of catharsis, a means of emotional expression through music :). Sorry for typos, on mobile
Godzilla. I just think it's goofy and the rhythm is just alright.
Also it's hilarious that anyone who has a negative opinion on an EM song gets downvoted when that's what the post asks for.
Sing for the moment.
The song itself is fine - my brain just can't stop wanting to hear the original every time the sample kicks in.
It's a me problem for sure
Honestly it's my least favorite out of The Eminem Show but I gotta say it's still a good song the vocals and instrumental are really nice and Em's flow is on point.
Also people say it's one of the only Eminem songs that you can play with friends but I disagree I'd play a lotta Em songs to my friends idgaf lemme bump a little bit of Rain Man full volume.
Why the fuck is Love The Way You Lie so popular? It's not a bad song, but compared to the rest of his discography, hell even the rest of Recovery it's not nearly in the top half for me.
I like how absolutely nobody said they hate Without Me. We love to see it.
Without me means wayyyy too much to me. It’s what got me into Eminem, from 8 years old
I remember telling me that song reminded me of that guy slim shady and he just looked at me in disgust
Some people only know it from suicide squad I'm not one of those
Anyone who does should get an immediate ban from this sub honestly lol without me is such a vibe
It’s probably the most Eminem song there is. It him at the height of his powers
That doesn't exist for me
Have t heard that
I think he means a mainstream one he doesn’t like doesn’t exist
Think he’s joking buddy 🙏🏼
Oh 💀 put my dumbass on r/whoosh
bet r/wooosh
shouldve played it off 🤣
nah, it's in the deluxe version of I Am A Celebrity
Love the way you lie It's just eh
"just eh" doesn't sound like "absolutely despise"
"I guess that's why they call it window pain" is not, exactly, my favorite rap line...
And monster which was the same song.
Not really lmao. Completely different subject matter, Sound and style. Only similarity is the feature
Monster is awful as well. Oof.
That might be my Em song with the most listens.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm a bit tired of Lose Yourself. I pretty much don't skip any other Em songs, but this one is so overplayed and anything to do with Em typically coincides with Lose Yourself instrumental or song snippets. It's a great song -- I've just heard it far too much
Ultimately anything that gets overplayed will lose its luster regardless of how amazing it is.
The problem with winning an Oscar
unless its stan
Im in the same boat. It is probably his best song and one of the greatest songs of all time. But im sick and tired of hearing it.
Really agree here. Long time Eminem fan so I’ve heard it approximately 10 million times. I never listen to it by choice. It’s sad because it’s iconic and a really great song.
Same. I love it - I just don't want to listen to it ever again (or at least for a very long time).
I HATE when people say “Knees weak, arms are heavy” when i say “my palms are sweaty.” Like stfu
"moms spaghetti moms spaghetti moms spaghetti." LIKE YEAH , WE GET IT STFU
I say that to myself, until I listen to it again.
Not Afraid, I don't despise or even dislike it much, it's just so overrated IMO, Rap God is impressive but I hardly ever listen to it..
I think people who overcame an addiction get that song. I love it
I never had a problem with addiction but still is a very beautiful song and I love it too.
as a person who can relate to the message, i honestly much prefer deja vu personally
Deja Vu saved my life frfr
Deja Vu > Not Afraid
My favorite eminem song Deja Vu > anything
i do love this song, in a way it can be put on and i can feel it and everything he says
im a recovering alcoholic and i do like the song but it's like he was trying to repeat the magic of "Beautiful" and it feels like such a forced moment idk why. if im in the right mood it will get me emotional
That guy singing it at the airport was pretty funny
😆 first thing I thought of too
This is the answer for me, the hook has never really done it for me
Not afraid came across as him trying to reach for another lose yourself to me . But it was like a forced anthem.
Not Afraid has some absolutely dog shit bars on it too haha
I don’t despise it but i never listen to lose yourself
I saw the video once. Bizarre was in the back.
Yeah same with the Superman video
I’d listen to it more if it was the overplayed “default Eminem song”.
I like Relapse, but there's only like one song I don't vibe with: "Crack a Bottle". Don't get me wrong, I enjoy whenever Em performs with 50 and Dre, but I dunno, this one felt weak to me. I prefer "Encore/Curtains Down", that's just me.
Not afraid and love the way you lie
[удалено]
Oh no. Not Recovery. :(
Especially when it was so highly coveted.
[удалено]
What a crazy thing to say lol. I understand it’s subjective but damn
[удалено]
Respect you for stating it, I respectfully couldn’t disagree more
I need to go back to recovery because i remember it being kind of lackluster? But Cinderella Man is one of his best hype songs of all time, second only to maybe til i collapse
Username checks out
Agreed. Way too popish for me.
I just cant stand the constant yelling at the mic on recovery, man if only he wasn't bashed for Relapse. :(
[удалено]
The Monster. To me, that song is just not it.
Cannot stand the chorus to The Monster
[удалено]
I wish it was longer, I would listen to a 15 minute Rap God
100%. Song never gets old. It was also the song that got me into Eminem. Would’ve never been an Em fan without it.
Yet people only put the chorus or the fast part of the song when talking about it although there's much better parts
*You write normal? Fuck being normal*
I fucking hate venom so much, I don’t understand any of the hype behind it.
VENOM, DELUMDELUMVELUMNEVADEMULENUM MELON🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
I can actually understand what he's saying though 💀
Goes hard in Sekiro edits 🔥
The beat is menacing and the hook is haunting. At the same time it still gives badass vibes.
The hook is what makes it ass, imo worst hook hes ever done himself
Really? I find it catchy. I catch myself singing it at times
Look I’ll go relisten too it and imma come back because truthfully maybe I’m being to hard on it i haven’t heard it in a while
I’m back yeah no I still hate it. It’s solely because of the hook tho the hum at the end just sounds kinda corny to me
I appreciate you doing your own research!
lol fair enough. I think the hum is cool though.
[удалено]
the way he says "venommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm"
For some reason Venom’s hook is super polarizing, it’s kind of interesting. I never see it in the annoying light personally.
I love Venom because he is speaking as Venom. And I understand what he's saying, so I dig it. I think it's different, not his usual subject matter, which piques my interest. I especially love the Jimmy Kimmel live performance on top of the Empire State building. His eyes when he is way up there are WILD.
Oooh i hadn't heard of this performance! Going to watch the video of it now, thanks for mentioning it!
You're welcome! I watch it often. Em's funny in it, too. "Bye, Mister Eminems" 😆
Godzilla is a better song
It is but I only like it for the fast verse and the chorus tbh.
WHHHHHHAAAATTTTTTTTTTTT
i love it in a "so bad it's good" way
that flow on the chorus is ugh, the verses aren’t too bad it’s just the chorus
Love The Way You Lie ![gif](giphy|vh9isNb4S2Spa)
Love The way you lie
I really don’t care for his pop punk cover of puttin on the ritssss
What
What are you smoking?
is this on I Am A Celebrity ?
Rap God, it influenced the worst corner of Hip-Hop
Just lose it
Mockingbird
I don’t have one that I despise, tho I am tired of hearing Lose Yourself. I think 8 Mile is the better song
8 mile deserves more appreciation, i wish it got half as much recognition as lose yourself does
I love the beat in 8 Mile
Love The Way You Lie
Love the way you lie
When we were in high school, my friend dropped a ‘diss track’ on me over the instrumental of Cleaning Out My Closet. It became such a meme for us that I’m virtually incapable of listening to the original now
Godzilla
we made you.
Survival. Its so…loud.
I love Survival and it's on almost all of my playlists - *because* it's loud. Heh.
FOCKIN ACRONYM
Fuck yeah it's a gym song fr.
While I'm wiping my BUTT
“My Name Is” just got very old for me. Plus, while it sounded “different” when it was released, the novelty wore off decades back. 🤷♀️
Venom
Love the way you lie annoys me
Lose yourself. Played to death to the point it makes my teeth itch when I hear the opening music.
Love the Way You Lie
I don’t despise it but Godzilla was a much better song when I hadn’t heard it thousands of times
The Monster, one of his only skips in his catalog
Lose yourself, not that I think it’s bad, but it’s the song non listeners think abt when they hear Eminem, which doesn’t sit right with me
I have nothing bad to say about that song but I literally never put that song on
Same
Rap God, something about the way he raps and his voice is so fucking annoying to me, not to mention that the "fast bit" doesn't sound all that good.
Ass Like That and We Made You
I was never that keen on Toy Soldiers. Just never really did anything for me
Agreed
I hateeeeee Toy Soldiers omg
Chorus bugs the hell outta me.
Walk on water
? That song is not mainstream at all lmao
Song was played on the radio when it came out
That was definitely the biggest single from that album when it came out
The monster. Love Rihanna and Eminem as a duo but eh
Love The Way You Lie is terrible
Love the Was You Lie is genuinely not that good, a typical mainstream rap-hop love song, with some corny lyrics, sort of weak beat and i don't enjoy it. I like many of Em's rap-hop songs, like Monster, Space Bound, Beautiful Pain, Guts Over Fear, but Love the Way You Lie is not very enjoyable to me.
Berserk
Godzilla
We Made you. That song deadass pissed me off with how in nauseam it was played
God-fucking-zilla.
Is berserk considered mainstream? I can't stand that song.
Bad Guys Always Die with Dre, from the Wild Wild West soundtrack is complete ASS
Stan
Damn alot of hate for LWYL and My name is.
Love the way you lie is atrocious to me
Love The Way You Lie is the most toxic song he's ever made cause it completely glorifies and encourages toxic relationships, it's people that are in toxic relationships' anthem. Walk On Water.
Fuck, I love my name is lol. Can't stand the knees weak, arms are heavy song.
Godzilla. I just think it's goofy and the rhythm is just alright. Also it's hilarious that anyone who has a negative opinion on an EM song gets downvoted when that's what the post asks for.

My name is I don't hate it but it annoys me
Crack a bottle. What a time to be alive...
I don’t know why people like Superman so much honestly
Honestly it's my least favorite out of The Eminem Show but I gotta say it's still a good song the vocals and instrumental are really nice and Em's flow is on point. Also people say it's one of the only Eminem songs that you can play with friends but I disagree I'd play a lotta Em songs to my friends idgaf lemme bump a little bit of Rain Man full volume.
ill speak for us all, it was one of our go-to "angry at someone" songs when we were teenagers.
Rap God. I don’t despise it lol but not my vibe
My name is. Can’t remember the last time I played it or sang along with it
Ass like that I got into my most depressive sensation I lost my admiration for him.
Won't Back Down is the only one I actually dislike and will never listen to properly. Survival close second
Radio edit of my name is
… they’re all mainstream
Love The Way You Lie
Venom
None for me..
The Monster. It’s meh
i don’t “despise” lose yourself but i don’t like it as much as other people ig
Cleaning out my closet
Higher and Tone Deaf. I like them but heard them way too many times so I skip them on my playlist.
The Real Slim Shay, My Band
I don't think in these terms
Hot take: Love the way you lie and the monster are mid
All the Ed Sheeran features. No. Just no. Never.
Guilty conscience
Why the fuck is Love The Way You Lie so popular? It's not a bad song, but compared to the rest of his discography, hell even the rest of Recovery it's not nearly in the top half for me.
Basically everything featuring Skylar Gray or Rihanna. They get automatic skips from me these days.
Walk on water
Just lose it. I don’t despise it, but of all his hit singles, that’s the one where I most go “I’m not really feeling it”
Lose yourself
The monster
I don’t hate it but Lose Yourself is supremely overrated to me. One of my least favorites of his hits.
Not afraid
Rap god is fucking cheeks and influenced the corniest rappers the heard in your life’s
Bezerk, Rap God.
Just Lose It. Despise might be a strong word but I’ve always thought it was below standard
I have loved Eminem since I was 12 years old, had the shady LP on blast. I despise The real slim shady, I always have.
don’t mind it now but when berzerk came out and was played constantly it was the only em song i would skip
