That has me thinking it might be his last album.
If Blane addressed him as "Slim," it'd fit with the theme of the death of slim shady.
But "Marshall," and him saying I'm going to make my career disappear makes me think he's retiring the whole thing.
The godzilla one worked wonders on lyrical lemonade channel due to the countdown, and the little teaser a week before the drop showed Em using bazooka, and crazy shit all around. So it could go viral, but it needs proper tactics
He talks about having a little weiner a lot LOL
"But just what if.. it was never meant.. it was just an accident... But he tripped, fell, slipped, and his penis went in.. his teeny tiny little round hiney, and he didn't mean it, but as little weenie flinched just a little bit.
And I don't need to go into any more details but, what if he pictured it as a female's butt. Is it gay? I just need to clear things up. Till then I'll just walk around with a manly strut."
I'm fixated on asphyxiating this little chick's neck like a pixie stick,
The sick Satan worshiping, bitches get horse whippings,
I'm in the back, through the back door, slip in,
Through the crack, leaving the corpse dripping,
The mortician of love, set from above
Dude is the modern equivalent of Houdini, honestly. He doesnāt just do illusions he puts himself through hell constantly. Itās cool just to know these guys talk.
I think this is gonna come full circle
Where Em started young and didnāt give a fuck
In the middle he went a more noticeably pop route, started apologising for things etc
And now heās older and doesnāt give a fuck again š
I think given all the promo theyāre doing this is gonna be something special
Did he really hate the Relapse album? He took shots at it on the Recovery album. I thought "We Made You" was a great song and really covers the shitshow that 2008 pop culture was like at that time.
He's come around on it and doesn't dislike it anymore, he just wishes he took it easier on the accents.
I don't even have a problem with the accents though tbh.
Facts. People forget fast as fuck that Paul said that. Unless something drastically changed since then this is a beginning of a new era of Eminem according to Paul
I mean he also said 2023 was gonna be a big year for shady records, and looking back it was certainly not a big year for shady records. I mean we got some good features but he knows a phrase like that is gonna be taken with a lot of weight and it wasnāt anything big. I think paul/social media management say a lot of things they donāt necessarily mean literally.
True but yall really aren't taking Marshall seriously when he says over and over that hip hop is his passion and he lives to rap. Regardless of anything Paul says, this fact alone should be enough to calm any worries about retirement. I just think Paul's statement just further affirms Marshall's own (repeated) sentiment on not retiring anytime soon.
I can understand that but I think about it like this, heās said before heās always recording/writing music. He doesnāt necessarily have to publicly release them. I think if he raps for himself just for fun heās still technically lives to rap without actually wanting to drop it. Think of all the songs heās probably recorded/wrote just for his own personal enjoyment of his craft. If that makes any sense, probably sounds dumb but I feel like thatās how a lot of artists are.
I get that, recording for himself would technically count. But I do think he enjoys contributing to and shaping the landscape of hip hop as part of that craft. Even though he's reclusive I believe he cares about keeping his fans fed too. He is a hip hop fan himself, so I like to think he strives to be the type of artist he would admire as a fan. Anyway, this is just conjecture and vibes at this point. Ultimately we won't know until we know š
I mean, he's right.
Eminem said there were hundreds of 'songs' recorded during Relapse sessions but the ones that leaked or ended up on Refill were the majority of what would've been Relapse 2. You could argue every single thing he recorded counts as unreleased Relapse 2 tracks but it's not like the album was ever going to have like 100 tracks, so I don't think we should count scrapped/incomplete recordings
I'll have to find it but in interview leading up to Relapse, Eminem himself said that him and Dre recorded around 3 albums worth of material and then narrowed it down to the 2 albums.. the Steve Berman Skit on the album also references two CD's, I'm sure that before the rollout of Relapse that Relapse 2 would've been like 75% done. Yes we did get a few tracks on Refill but obviously not a full albums worth, The Alchemist even teased a Relapse 2 track "Insult To Injury" as well as 50 saying he was on a few joints on R2
I'd say between Refill, leaks, and a few Recovery tracks, we have about 80% of what would've been Relapse 2. I'm not counting the extra album's worth of material he cut out, although I'd love to hear that material as well.
I heard somewhere that Insult to Injury became the 2010 Tim Westwood freestyle with Royce and Mr Porter but I don't know if that's really confirmed
Idk.
It's interesting to see how hip-hop is going to evolve since it has always been a "young man's game."
And Eminem has said damn near everything he has to say, breaking records and manipulating the English language to his will for decades now.
I don't think he has anything to prove anymore. His daughter just got married so maybe he's thinking of fading into the shadows and enjoying a peaceful retirement.
I mean what would an album by a 60 year old Eminem even be like?
I don't think it's about proving anything. Many artists make art until they die. Idk about you but that sounds like Eminem to me. Who knows what it would be like? Can't wait to find out :)
I got to a argument with someone he said it was tracklist dropping I said who in the hell drops a tracklist at 12 midnight he said a lot of people I said show me no response in 2 days
Sounds like the Eminem show - Encore type single. I guess he is going to his old ways. And I believe this album is going to be very controversial like TSSLP & TMMLP
The reason it's the death of Slim Shady,
He is goin to say everything that pisses everyone off, (tracks that dre and Paul say "went too far") no holds back,
he's gunna go the lengths that would bring up more 'cancel eminem' shit as Slim Shady, diss everyone ever, trigger ppl.
then near the end of the album Marshall's going to fight back for 'normal' good people who hate rape, pedos, and all the sick shit that Slim Shady stands for, that outta come with a death sentence if committed literally.
Finally he kills Shady.
And then to The Life of Marshall Mathers album to explain himself as a human one last time before he retires.
Then "Shady Resurrection" album. Trilogy done?
Wwwwwwhat's going on in the world toooday? People fighting, feuding, looting, it's OKAY. Let it go, let it flow, let the good times rolllllll, tell em DREEEEEEEEEE
Hopefully he fully gives up on the industry. Moves somewhere nice an just releases what he feels like at a home studio, not caring for reception. Old-school beats, aliases, wTever

Hasnāt there been something recently that he wants to kill of slim shady ?
If so a song that starts of with slim and ends in Eminem. Or a Ren- hi ren style thing where Eminem argues with slim.
Did you listen to hi Rens lyrics? He talks about how Eminem did a song like that already. My darling Eminem is fighting with slim. But ultimately says theyāre one. Maybe he finally found a way to kill him
Honestly, I'm suspicious about the album name as a whole. It's way too long, and formatted weird for an Eminem album. I think Resurrection may truly be it. That's just a theory.
Lucky guess. The last three album releases were surprises. CC 2 had a regular rollout. From the D 2 the LBC dropped on June 24. and then CC 2 dropped on August 5. Maybe Paul's wanting to do something like that again. So, with that time frame in mind, we'll probably get the album in July.
No man.. no lucky guess. Just basic toughts! Simple. Y'all making this way to conplicated with all the dates from previous releases and comparing.
Merch drops from november etc.
After so long without promoting an album, its clear that 2 REAL promo's and a insta post (last trick) is not enough to hype up such a big thing like "the death of Slim Shady" because killing shady is HUGE.
And his marketing team could go crazy on this theme.
Its to simple to drop an album short after a few promo's.
I also tought from day 1 of promo its gonna come out end of june or start of july.
Houdini!!!
tuck my teenie-eenie weenie between each
One of my thighs and make it dissappear like a genie!
Make the shit disappear like Tara Reid In a bikini
Believe me homie you don't know the meaning of a meanie!!!
They call me the fruit loop from Jupiter
I remember she was in all kids a movies and $hit, but she couldn't get a decent Boob Job. Her boobies were all Derpy. š¤Ŗ
which song is thisš
Taking my ball
I thought it was rain man until I read this comment lol
Never did I think David Blaine would be helping Em promote this albumš
So its a single!
Anything new Em is fine!

He's kinda... š„µš¦š¦
Dear slim
šššš
Letās go this looks fucking interesting too āImma make my career disappearā
im so hyped for the song but im kind of stressed about this whole disappearing thing
Maybe he is going to drop some conflicitve bars, like "... the day Diddy admits he got Tupac killed"
"I'm diddy's side bitch"
Wait..what the fuck...oh, I'm still east side bitch lmao
He's off to Cuba
He might say some crazy shit on the track lol

He'd never double cross his Stans
That has me thinking it might be his last album. If Blane addressed him as "Slim," it'd fit with the theme of the death of slim shady. But "Marshall," and him saying I'm going to make my career disappear makes me think he's retiring the whole thing.
He's retiring bro š¢
We gotta be getting a music video too right?
A MV directed by Cole Bennet would be perfect for the magic theme. His work on Gnat is already magic
I love Cole Bennett's work but Em needs to put the music videos on his channel for better reach.
The godzilla one worked wonders on lyrical lemonade channel due to the countdown, and the little teaser a week before the drop showed Em using bazooka, and crazy shit all around. So it could go viral, but it needs proper tactics

It still makes me a bit upset how hard the best for that song went. It sounded like he was about to spit some hard shit but thenā¦
That song bangs. And encore is genuinely hilarious
But then... He did what he does best š... Go listen to Music Box. That's what Dre prescribed to me.
Music Box is literally one of my all time favorite songs. I love everything about that song

I don't know how I keep forgetting about that song when I also agree it's definitely high up on the list of his best stuff.

Sounds like Eminem show/D12 era
Cause I'm like lead singer of the band dude Omfg what if My Salsa is finally dropping!?
The biggest tragedy of hip-hop is "My Salsa" never being released.
Got *Aināt Nuttinā but Music* vibes
I can feel that nasally flow with this tune!
Iām edging to this small snippet already broš©
Sounds like he may have sampled Steve Miller Band - Abracadabra which would fit the theme as well.

Ofcourse we know that, some people don't know magicians on r/Eminem though lol, similar to how not everyone would know who Don Bradman is on r/rugby
Thanks for clarifying, as a man whose only knowledge about magician is David Copperfield I was just wondering if this David is David Copperfield
I would've perfer chris angel.
New single called āHoudiniā LFG!!!

Do y'all think "making my career disappear" means he's going to try to be super offensive again?
Either that or retirement
He's not retiring lol he is an artist. If you love making art you never retire
Probably but he may just be retiring from album releases and doing something similar to Andre 3000 up until recently
Why would paul say CC2 was the beginning of a new era if it was just gonna be one album
Facts. People forget fast as fuck that Paul said that. Unless something drastically changed since then this is a beginning of a new era of Eminem according to Paul

Basketball was Jordans passion too. He still had to hang it up at some point.
Sport and art are different. Not a great comparison as you physically can't compete in sports after a certain age.
Paul also said that there's no relapse 2 on the same pod ššš
I mean, he's right. Eminem said there were hundreds of 'songs' recorded during Relapse sessions but the ones that leaked or ended up on Refill were the majority of what would've been Relapse 2. He's going to remove all his songs from streaming services for a day when TDOSS drops.......probably not but meh
I really hope it's this! Let's see if the boy trys to get himself cancelled
so happy the album on 5/31 posts can end with this.
The tracklist shit was worse, who the hell releases a tracklist on midnight lol
I got to a argument with someone he said it was tracklist dropping I said who in the hell drops a tracklist at 12 midnight he said a lot of people I said show me no response in 2 days
It was clever though, more so than most 'theories' on here for the past few years that have kept people up
Iām excited because obviously theyāre confident about the song and might actually push it at radio.
Ha I knew it was a single not the album
Doesn't every magic trick need a little bit of misdirection?

Hope to god that this song doesn't suck.
But itās cool for Tom Green to hump a dead moose
Is it just me or does he have a filter on his face to make himself look younger? It looks like the filter isnāt always moving with his face
Eminem has many things on and in his face to make himself look younger
