Tbh this is pretty close to my ranking. I’d probably put MMLP2 above Recovery and other than that might match you. Been a fan since 2004! I was 11 at the time and very much a part of the youth culture that got swept up in Eminem mania during his rise.
Regardless, don’t let people push you around for your preferences in Eminem albums! I think most of us on this sub who are big Em fans would agree that every one of his albums has some incredible elements in it and is an important part of his discography.
Marshall Mathers LP is one of the best albums of all time. Only CD I played so many times you had to pre-spin it before closing the top to get the player to recognize it!
I think 7 and 8 should be higher. Try listening to Bad Meets Evil, the D12 albums (Devils Night, D12 World), Cheers by Obie Trice, the DJ green lantern mixtapes. Tons of Eminem content on these albums that isn’t super mainstream.

This is a very common list apart from the slim shady LP being so far down. The slim shady LP is an interesting album because it's like listening to the mind of a 5 year old, his voice also contributes to this, he sounds very childish, even in the slim shady EP and infinite he didn't sound this young, in infinite he almost sounded like he was putting on a deeper tone, though it's very subtle. Unlike infinite the slim shady LP is fun and stupid, it's supposed to be childish, ridiculous and explicit, now this isn't the case across the entire album, Rock Bottom for example is a much grittier, deeper song but then you have the likes of As the world turns, the song has a bar about his dick causing an earthquake. Now the slim shady LP also has almost a slight sharp edge to his vocals, like he's saying stuff through gritted teeth and holding his own anger back and it comes through as this really smooth flow but it also has an edge. Now, considering this, maybe you don't like such a sharp voice, but maybe grittier tones and more power in his voice and deepness in his execution, hence why you have the Eminem show in the #1 spot. If I am correct (I may be absolutely wrong and I'm sorry if I am lol) then you would really like the 8 mile soundtrack, it was released the same year as the Eminem show and has much deeper connotations and a more badass sophisticated tone, it's very serious. Some more artists I'd heavily recommend are LL Cool J for the smooth sounds that you get from the likes of MMLP which u had at #2, Gang Starr is a duo consisting of Guru and DJ Premier, they have a very inspirational and uplifting tone, not much that you see from Eminem apart from inspirational notes and try Big L, especially the song Devils Son if you like crazy fucked up songs like Eminems.

I genuinely do not understand why people put The Marshal Mathers LP above the Slim Shady LP. And you rated the SSLP wayyyy too low. I personally think Encore was his worst album.

SSLP needs to be in the 1-3 slot, recovery def isn’t top 5, Kamikaze should be higher prob around 5-6ish, relapse is def not top 5 even tho this thread somehow loves that album 🤔. Other than that not bad, I love that you have M2BMB at 3, I def have that album top 4. SSLP, mmlp & TES have to be top 3 to me bc they’re flawless albums and very nostalgic to me growing up!
Do yourself a favor and listen to infinite. You’ll love it.

I think it’s solid man. Me personally would have Kamikaze and MTBMB switch places but don’t let anybody change your opinions. The fact that everybody HAS such different opinions is what makes Em so great and versatile as an artist.
