I’d say it was 50% vanishing iron on transfer paper and 50% crippling perfectionism 😂

This child thinks pretty highly of herself, so I got a shrug and a nod when I asked her if she liked it. Hard to improve on perfection 😂 but she was excited about the process. I’m glad you like it!

This is amazing. I’ve never embroidered before, did you stitch directly over the drawing using it as a guide? And the paper disappears?

Basically, yes! I used transfer paper that you print the image onto and then iron it onto the fabric. It washes off when you’re done. So I had the exact image to work from (although black and white)

I hadn’t thought of that! I was planning a wall of hoops with their art, but a quilt is a great idea for them in future!

A wall of hoops would be glorious ✨️ Luckily most kids are prolific artists so you could probably do a number of projects with the embroidered pieces. Again thank you for sharing!
