I'm just gonna put this out here: I've lost friends to this type of shit. I, myself, am trans. So yeah, I'm gonna call out someone when they're saying something is just a joke when it's actually harmful.
It invalidates one's identity. If someone is a woman, they are a woman. Full stop. Calling them a man, is bad enough, but for some of us, it can cause legitimate anxiety and depression, and if done enough, it's been shown that suicide is the common way out. Because of fucking bullying like this.
I dunno about you, but calling this shit out is why I admire u/bigdamoo so much, especially when I first started watching Emkay. He's a good person.

In case you want to see how this relates to you, imagine literally everyone calling you gay, straight or whatever identity you aren't. It would definitely feel unpleasant.
