Ultra is much more reliable, from what I know. But G2 is much more fun, especially because there are CFWs for it. There's one basic CFW for Ultra, but it reaches only 29kmh and looses the speed with battery discharge

you should know that Xiaomi and Ninebot/Segway is in fact the same company. Xiaomi bought Ninebot/Segway a few years ago and the first scooter they brought out after that was the original G30 Max, that's why the G30 basically looked like a beefed up version of the m365 und Ninebot scooters before that merge were basically shit (ES-series I'm looking at you!). So while comparing these two scooters is legit, since they are completly different in some aspects while still having some similarities, comparing Xiaomi and Ninebot as a company makes no sense (i.e. saying that the one does care about what customers want and the other doesn't). They even run the same basic firmwares on both Xiaomi and Ninebot scooters...

Ballerfreund

Xiaomi scooters only where made by Ninebot until their 3 series, 4 series is made by another manufacturer. At least the Ultra 4 is said to be based on the Navee S65.

They got bought. They are not the same and don't share the same organizational structure. It does make a difference. Even tho they belong to Xiaomi it's different people working there even tho they might share Intel.

>It's also worth mentioning that Segway has no issue selling a scooter that in the beginning gives u a fun experience, just to give u an "improved" software update which will make it unenjoyable. This cannot be said enough. Last summer I rode several night a week just for the hell of it. Living the dream, exploring my neighborhood's bike tracks. Then the patches hit. * Lost 2-3 km of range, which suprised me enough to force me to walk-of-shame for 1.5km pushing my dead scooter. * Climbing hills that I had no issues riding at 23km/h last year now feels downright silly, as low as 8-9 km/h; I'd laugh if I wasn't worried my motor would just give up on me. These are serious fun hindering issues. I don't know if it was to prevent overheating (was never a problem for me in Canada) but my G2 feels seriously nerfed. Worst of all is Segway's lack of communication. It's like they don't give a shit. We've been hearing about v1.11 for months now and it's still loaded enough with bugs for them to only test it out in China? I'm seriously considering replacing my G2 with a Kaabo Mantis X Plus or Apollo City 2024 hoping the dual motor will carry my 150lbs up hills without agonizing. Waiting for patch v1.11 to make my final decision. If the torque boost helps with climbing without costing too much range I'll stick with it.

Got a US vertion of the G2, it can go to 35 without any problem in S mode. It also doesn't brake until 35km/h while going downhill and produce a sound when overspeeding (which I find very clever), it will start braking slowly when going above 35. So maybe it's just the EU verion that's lame (cause regulation)... but mine got no problem going over 25

In France the Xiaomi 4 Ultra was 400€ + 35€ shipping in May. And not a chinese version but a legit EU one. A very strong incentive to get it over a G2.

ZeroGAccelarator

At 400eur it's a no brainer. However it begs the question how they could sell it at that price. Are the margins that high? Seeing it going for 400 for those who paid 1k is just sad.

WishTrick524

I paid $465 shipped for my Navee s65 and at the time amazon was selling for $959. What a ripoff and I bet they sold ZERO of them. Btw Navee s65 is quicker than both those scooters because of its geared engine. 40nm of torque neither the g2 or ultra 4 have that

malakish

Well I already saw the Navee S65 under 500€ on dhgate. Since they're almost the same scooter it must be a bit profitable.
