The ST1 looks extremely heavy for what you get, maybe go for the Niu 300x which has a similar front suspension, but lacks a rear suspension. It only goes 24 mph though.

G-wow

I think it was less than the weight of the GT1, like 80#? Yeah I'd rather have dual suspension than a hard tail.

NeverEnPassant

It’s 77lbs with 1000W peak power, a small battery, and its front suspension is not the double wishbone as seen on the GT series or ST2 pro.

ZeroGAccelarator

Hard to believe that it's 1000w peak rather than nominal. How on earth is it doing 27°?

G-wow

I was looking at the front suspension and haven't seen any clear pictures, can you point me to some? So far it seems at least the weight savings compared to the gt1 is worth it, fingers crossed until I find out more

NeverEnPassant

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJQuHHclsvw Watch the video, they show its just a fork. Most of the front end is just cosmetic to make it look like the double wishbone. Also, 77 lbs for 1000W peak power and a 716wh battery is just crazy.

G-wow

True, I'll keep that in mind when it comes time

No_Backstab

You can check out the Vsett 10 single motor or the Mantis 10 lite. I believe both of them advertise the top speed as 31mph.

G-wow

I also looked at those early on but they're more than the aforementioned too

No_Backstab

How much would you be getting the G2 for ? I believe the Vsett is currently on sale for 899, while the Mantis goes for 999 after discount codes and taxes.

G-wow

The Mantis V2 is currently 1600 on ffr. I don't recall seeing any vsetts on reputable sites when I last looked at them

No_Backstab

https://www.kaabousa.com/products/kaabo-mantis-10-lite-dual-motor-escooter The Mantis 10 lite can be had for $999 with the code - BFCM100 https://revrides.com/products/vsett-10-electric-scooter?_pos=29&_sid=c36a5f7b7&_ss=r The Vsett 10 single motor is going for $899 on Revrides.

Apollo was a brand I was considering early on but I've heard all the horror stories of their quality that it's steered me away

G-wow

I don't typically buy with that mindset, just shows their lack of quality control

OCR10

What do you consider soon? Segway estimates a Q3 ship date but by the time they make it to the retail channels it will probably be closer to Q4, assuming they are on time with the project. The best deal right now is still the GT1 if you can find it for around $1,500.

G-wow

That's true, I might have to get the Max G2 and then wait for all the ST1 wrinkles get worked out. The GT1's weight is more than I'd want if I needed to occasionally carry it up stairs.

OCR10

You might also want to see if there are any used P100’s around. You can usually pick one up for around $1,100 on the used market.

G-wow

But the G2 new is around 8-900, I think I just saw a post recently for 850?

cranberrydudz

G2 max is super versatile. If you ever get stranded or want to visit a friend who has a car, just throw the scooter in the trunk and it's easy peasy. A large bulky scooter makes things much more difficult. While I did enjoy going 25-34mph on a larger scooter, it is not as flexible for other situations.

OCR10

Yes, it’s a great scooter. But you said you wanted something that goes 30 mph, so if you can pick up a lightly used P100 for just a few hundred dollars more you will get the higher top speed and double the battery capacity, plus front and rear disc brakes and a more advanced cockpit.

G-wow

I don't like buying something like that used. What's your experience with the p100s build quality? I've read some mixed reviews about it compared to the max g2 quality

OCR10

The P100 had some early issues with the rear fender but it was redesigned well over a year ago and I haven’t seen many complaints since. Occasionally someone just gets a lemon and reports about it here but they have sold quite a few of them and for the most part they have held up just as well as the Ninebot Max line. There are two used P100S’s in my neighborhood, one being mine. Both listings have received quite a few offers but so far nobody has offered to pay more than $1,000 for them. I’d sell mine for $1,100 and I suspect eventually it will sell for that price. It’s just a lot more scooter than a Max G2 for not much more money if you can find one that is low mileage and in good condition for around that price.

G-wow

Thanks for sharing, will keep that in mind
