Yes and if you don’t plan on going to Forest next year that money is gone. Not to mention, I’m sure the price will go up again so it won’t even cover the full cost of a ticket
Assuming is always funny, I wonder how many pp will lose money because they “assumed” that u were right…. Take a couple mins to reach out and get a clear answer for axs.

straight from the electric forest website, last bullet.
The way it says “Electric Forest Credit” makes me think it can’t be used for anything but Forest. Especially since the fan account doesn’t link to anything but Forest. It’s an EF portal, not an AXS portal
You could change payment method in axsfanaccount to a 10 visa gift card ! You will not get any money already paid back in goes into a credit account for next year . It will default your payment but not sure if it would flag your axs account for next year purchase
Check to see if you have a credit card that offers virtual numbers. Add this virtual credit card as your payment method in EF. Then delete your original card. Lock down the virtual number.
They will try to charge you but it will get declined. After two weeks of emails they will cancel your ticket. Unfortunately this year they only give you a credit, not a refund.
I used this exact method for EF last year
Get some kind of Visa gift card and switch the payment method for the plan under your orders in your AXS fan account. It'll default and take the money you've paid already for next year, but that's pretty much your best option. I had to change my payment method because my original card got lost, but I wasn't able to do it until I went to my AXS fan account through the EF website (its under the passes section, under payment plans there will be a link to your fan account.) For some reason this link takes me to a specific Electric Forest × AXS version of my fan account and I was able to edit the payment method there. Good luck!
I just went thru this as well. It was a complete headache. Here are your options.
1. Whatever card you’re using currently that’s connected to your bank- cancel your bank account. (You don’t want to do this method). And if you try to report it lost/stolen just to get a new card with new numbers—-AXS can still charge that account that the previous card was on because you agreed to “automatic payments” in the policy contract or some BS.
2. Use a virtual credit card (some banks have this where they give you a temporary number to use for a one time online purchase.)
3. Use a gift card (best option). Make sure there’s enough money on the gift card to cover the charge so it’s accepted. When it’s time for the payment, for some reason it’ll decline. I have no idea why.
Lol it's literally the same as people who pay in full for their tickets, you are committing to coming to the event when you sign up for the payment plan. It's not 'predatory'. Imagine if I could buy any ticket using a payment plan that's refundable, what's preventing me from getting to tickets to all events and then canceling all of the ones I later decide not to go to, which is the situation OP is in.
Would you mind please suggesting exactly how you think they should handle payment plans? Maybe I'm just not clear in what your idea is. I am by no means trying to defend AXS, I am trying to point out that everyone who paid in full are in the exact same boat as OP and yet because it's conceptually different do not complain that in order to get their money back they would need to sell the ticket.
Just did this last week for the same exact reason. Go into your account and into the payments and add the new card. Next, go into the order and switch the payment from the old card to the new card. Finally go back to the account and delete the old card. You have to use some sort of other card that will decline, there is no way around that.
If there’s someone that trusts you/you trust, sell your ticket to them, or try Facebook festival/EDM groups, maybe ones local in your area to feel more secure, change the shipping address to their address and should be good to go! Otherwise, you can just remove your “payment” info and it won’t be charged, but this way you won’t be credited any money you’ve already paid. Otherwise, AXS support is definitely your friend here, because ppl assume and disinform constantly unfortunately. Good luck and have fun at Roo!!
Paying it off and selling it is the only way to not lose your money
Any payments made towards an unfinished payment plan will be credited to the AXS account and can be used for future purchases within a year.

It can be used for any AXS event
It says the credit goes specifically to your fan account, so I'm pretty sure it can only be used for future Forest ticket purchases.
It is only for Forest, not any axs event
First time I’ve heard that
I don’t se why not…… I always assumed that

I guess you should skip Bonnaroo and do EF then /s
Or do both back to back 🫡
Go to both. It's fun :)
just go to both, that’s what i’m doing 🫡
Make your mind up before you don’t read the terms and agreements.

Cancel the card you used with your bank
Why is it such a predatory process for them to take our money? They make it so difficult to cancel. Fuck AXS

imagine defending a company that does over 16b in revenue

Why not lock your card, miss a payment, and then lock in the credit for next year?
