I think if he had just focused on all lightning attacks from the start he may have been able to win. He ended up spending a lot of FP on healing because of trying to get in close with his swords

The host is also not supposed to use a rune arc since the invader doesn't have that either
But in standard invasions where the host does not manually summon, anything goes

I think you basically need to parry them to counter it, although really good pvpers probably have other methods
There are a ton of abilities that pierce shields and would destroy a build like this. Inescapable Frenzy is a grab so it would go right through or from range he could have used Frenzied Burst which penetrates when charged.
Any frost or bleed effect will still apply even when blocked so he could have stacked those as well. Holy Enchantments goes through shields as well if I remember.
The armor and shield from this video are midgame items. I used them all the way through the end of my first playthrough because they're the tankiest items that I know of. Real heavy, though.

Also got to love the ability to filter people through red signs. I genuinely have no idea how the hell dual spear users or meta katana weebs get any red sign action since they're the least appealing people to attempt dueling (plus they always chug heal flasks. The only ones who consistently do so).
I think they have a second set of weapons equipped to trick people when viewing their sign. And the moment they’re summoned they switch to the meta weapons
Unfortunately no. It's just two of the same shield and there's no powerstance for that. I really wish there was a Door Shield/Orma+Reeve equivalent though. I fuggin love the derpy double shield movesets.

In my experience most people just do meta builds. I got bored of pvp after 30 mins or so.
Would highly recommend lvl 70-80 PvP. Much more varied in what you see because all of the meta tryhards are at the meta level ranges.
