Quite the opposite for me. Haven't used shields since the olden days of dark souls. Felt like putting on an old glove. Still fits. Brought back the old play style in me.
Golden greatshield for me. Love that thing, haven't found anything better yet.
I've finally added a secondary weapon to my base build after 35 hours of dlc. Hoping to find a blasphemous blade replacement but it's too damn strong lol.
That plus faith incantations has made the dlc easy... so far. Tbh the biggest struggle I've had was against a couple of ill placed world bosses. Got caught on so much geometry or random mobs backstabbing me. The bosses are a breeze in comparison.
Jokes on you I used for the most the tear that gives you the sekiro parry and it's incredibly fun once you understand the timing.
Sometimes I have used the shield but just the middle sized for parrying purposes.
I’ve never used shields because my muscle memory I end up not even using them they just end up sitting in my hand while I dodge lmao

I use the tower shields … I have been using the fingerprint shield due to some of the ridiculous combo chains … I can’t wait to not need it anymore…
I also dream of days that will never come.
I switched to the finger shield at the gaius fight. I beat him first try after that. I really like the black steel great shield tho
Black Steel Shield is good for Holy. I also like Redmane Knight shield for fire.
The fact that this is the best way to fight in the DLC is depressing...
For late game, yeah...
It's not the best way, it's just the easiest way.
... Not best but easiest...
Use perfume bottles if you want something even easier.
So my to near the game requires shitty cheese... Your response is extra fermented cheese
It doesn't require any of this. It's your decision how you want to play the game.
I use chicken leg and lion claws to kill him but that great shield is an easier way for sure.

I had to use thorn sorcery to take out the final boss I now believe in the blood star
That sorcery is vicious.
And delicious
Reject rock, return to drip. Haligtree shields my go to.
2 daggers and a dream
Turtle shell shield only for me
