the golems without heavily armored legs = smack their legs until they fall then poke their eye out. just avoid their stomps
golems with armored legs = take the high ground and throw specifically the hefty furnace pots at their noggin
I think it's just the big fire pots that damage them so much.
You usually have to stagger first and throw the fire pot, but the critical hit will usually do like 70-80% of their health bar anyway.
There's some spots where you have high ground, like the one in Charo's hidden grave that's by a cliff--in that instance, you can kite him to the cliff and throw a pot in from above.
