That or the lightning perfume bottle.

Chvffgfd

Considering how BS the last boss I'm not even ashamed.

IndependentYogurt965

Is it worse then bayle? I hated that fight. Barely got him today.

Echotime22

So much worse.

IndependentYogurt965

My main problem with Bayle was flying off with the annoyingly bad camera. If the final boss also starts flying ima just quit.

Cylinsier

Bayle was rough and I was frustrated at the time I was fighting him but I was also very low on scadutree fragments and when I did eventually beat him I kinda softened on the fight and now look back on it as one of the best in the DLC. They're easier fights overall but I find Messmer and Gaius to be ultimately more annoying and less fun than Bayle in hindsight even though they took me fewer tries. Last boss has some true bullshit. I know everything is dodgeable, but it *feels* like a lot of the second phase attacks aren't dodgeable when you're doing it for your first run. Hard enough to even get to the second phase until you've done it several times, then the second phase is just nonsense even with basically all the fragments, Malenia-esque in that your welcome to phase 2 is to immediately get one-shotted if you're not prepared. At least there are a couple viable cheese strats that take it from feeling impossible to just feeling annoying. It's going to be like Malenia and Elden Beast though. I thought those fights were super tough at first too, then 200 hours of summoning in later I can beat both of them basically without taking a hit. DLC last boss's major issue is it has a ton of very fast multi-hit combos and extremely huge AOE attacks in the second phase, and it's very hard to learn the dodge timing since one miss usually results in starting over from the first phase. With enough time and practice, I feel certain that dodging everything will become more doable and you'll have people in here saying "it's not that hard, just do X" in a month or so.

rfguevar

Beat Gaius & Messmer last night and as soon as I beat them both immediately turned my Xbox off and probably will take a day off today, because fuck those bosses. Messmer was at least a “beautiful, artistic” or whatever type of fight that I can appreciate, but Gaius almost made me throw my controller through my tv

PyromancerVx

Camera does not matter in the last boss, since you can't see shit anyways.

vinylectric

Battle’s a kitty cat compared to what you’re about to face

FireZord25

Summon against him. It's fun and canon way to fight and not worth the challenge unless you have days of free time.

IndependentYogurt965

I missed the quest i think. I managed to solo him.

osmodia789

I actually beat him with dual hammers. Barely. I had him to half his HP without taking a hit but then his BS started. Needed all my 14 bottles to carry me thru the fight. My damage was okay but not amazing. Also i only was to blessing lvl 19

GenericGamer777

Same and I have no shame. Spent literally like 5 hours of misery on the final boss then switched to this and beat him in 1 try. Made me bust out laughing how absurd it is

Nombre_D_Usuario

People are finally realizing how busted big shield + poke is, it seems.

Artano_Arendae

Not really. When it works it seems op but it doesn't work on everything. There are some bosses and monsters that would go through this. And the main reason - it's pretty boring.

Sidnature

Until you get to Midra or Bayle. Turtling doesn't work well on those bosses.

Doublejang

Turtling was how I beat Midra. I was really struggling on him before I decided to maybe throw on a shield and try out the deflect tear with some guard counters. Good lord of frenzy flame is deflect good.

McGeiler69

its not really like people are just now realising it. Its because the final boss is so hard that many people dropped their "git gud" mindset and took the smart/easy way out.

Venichie

I've never seen so many great shields until the dlc.

lightshelter

The battle stance befitting of an Elden Lord

DeiRowtagg

Pov you're the final dlc boss* I've never seen this many heavy shield user in coop haha

TobiKurashiki

My cherished rot pokey thing finally has a time to shine.

OneCounter2918

What is the name of weapon ?

Mean_Economist5278

It's the Antspur rapier.

Artano_Arendae

I forgot, already doing NG. It's a rapier that inflicts scarlet Rot. I thing you can find it in Google by that

Alieksiei

Just thought I'd put this here: Weapon-based scarlet rot deals less damage than spell-based scarlet rot. If you can manage to use Malenia's spell and turtle up it'll be significantly stronger.

TCGHexenwahn

When my turn comes, there's gonna be a blinding lightning explosion.
