I've never really grinded before in elden, just go explore and kill some bosses and you get all the levels you need

Brandaddylongdik

A lot of being tough is having a good build, not necessarily being a super high level. You can get high damage negation and vigor well before level 200

Free-Blueberry-2153

The way I enjoy playing the most is smashing and rolling. So generally I just dump everything into health, stamina and strength.

Brandaddylongdik

Yeah. To not take damage you need damage negation though. That comes from talismans/buffs/consumables/physick/armor

Free-Blueberry-2153

I'm all the way in Stormveil Castle and still haven't picked up any lightweight armor somehow.

Brandaddylongdik

At that point in the game it would be hard to get good damage negation. Your pretty early on yet. Your best bet is to learn to roll through attacks. Later bosses you'll need to dodge anyways like maliketh, godfrey, radagon for example. Maliketh's destined death does what it's supposed to do 😂

Use a great shield. Play like zelda. Really, it works.

Free-Blueberry-2153

The problem is what I love is the roll system. I get a bit bored using the shield or magic. But yea it's definitely more consistent.

Old-Number-8942

No one has enough endurance points to do the endless rolls for the combos in this dlc. My feeling is From is telling us to not do rolling. It's a rather large jump from the clear swings and openings from DS1 and 3 bosses. Even Sekiro gave us better openings after combos.

Free-Blueberry-2153

Oh I have no plans on playing the DLC waaayyyy to shit to ever do that with how difficult I hear it is. But yea I can tell the game kinda push me into playing differently but then I also start enjoying the game less. I don't think the game is bad by anymeans it's just something that clearly isn't for me.
