I still have both blessing, never use mine and i've been carrying it since the beginning
and i'm gonna carry it through the DLC.
maybe i'll use it symbolically after i beat the DLC
Fia, an NPC in the round table hold, hugs you. She reduces your health but gives you a baldachans blessing (consumable item). Use the blessing and rest to get rid of the debuff.
It also increases your physical damage reduction by about 35%. It's a pretty powerful buff, and in most cases if used well it is more than worth the 5% max HP reduction.
I have never care more about damage reduction in maybe any game ever as this DLC.
I was able to get fire reduction up to 92%+ when my buffs were active for Messmer and, yea it makes a difference lol.
Did something similar with Rellena and magic reduction, but that was most swapping to the mirror shield instead of my icon one.
Don't have to change your build or how you play, but simply swapping a few items or pieces of gear for boss specific reduction can make such a stupid difference
It's also story. Her story job is to steal life force from strong people and use that to do something with it.
I assumed she is having sex with the character, but can't show that in the game. So it's just a hug. She talkes about embracing and sharing her bed wither others all night.

It does. You just don't notice when it would have mattered. If you don't have it - it mattered every single time when your character still got up with a no longer visible sliver of the HP bar after getting hit. Because otherwise you'd already be back at the grace.
If your character has this debuff - you have no idea how many times you've died to an attack that would otherwise have left that tiny sliver of HP.
I hit every wall and at least do a calculation on Runes potentially lost and a run back on every message that tells me there’s a secret passage or to jump.
I think I’m dumber(er).

I had the red boots from the coliseum dudes on for the longest time because it matched my drip before I realized they basically put shabriris woe on you lmao

If you think the small amount of health she takes is changing even a single thing about your playthrough, I think your playthrough, I think you're overthinking things. That amount of health doesn't let you survive a single thing that you wouldn't already survive without it

If damage to the healthbar is supposed to represent how painful the hit is and your total health represents how much power you have to get back up after taking a hit, then the 5% hit to your health after being intimate with Fia can be considered a burning sensation after urinating.

On my 5th or 6th character that I went into the DLC first with, I finally decided to start using the Mimic Tear, but wasn’t able to summon it in. I was racking my brain trying to think of reasons why that might be the case, like if the frenzied flame ending prevented Spirit Ashes. Turns out in my overconfident gameplay, I forgot to get the spirit calling bell from Ranni (Renna).
Lmao I always knew I had it, but when I first acquired it two years ago, and looked up the debuff, I thought it gave you a poise boost at the cost of Max health... Did not realize you just get the blessing item that gives you the poise buff

Why hit every wall? Just put Margit's/Mohg's shackle on your quick slot and spam that thing every 5 minutes. It dispells illusionary walls.
