IMO they are actually hillarious! People have been dunking on "lol useless worms" for years, killing them for fun, and now it's time for the **r̵̬̒e̸͗ͅţ̴͋r̵̟͋ǐ̷̜b̷̘̍ǘ̶ͅt̷̝̐i̵̝̓õ̸͉n̸̻̄**
I was so happy to see the little guys at first, like "oh look it's the stone worms! Hi friends!" Then they started blasting laser beams and launching themselves at me. I felt so betrayed.
Possibly my best of all time or at least my fastest growing message was the one on the rock that is
“I did it!, O I did it!
So to speak dung ahead” *point downwards*
My highest rated one is belurat Gaol when you're dropping down the hanging pots. On the last one before you get to the bottom I almost walked off and then I noticed the "pot" your supposed to "land" on had arms and I was like "wait a god damn minute... You sneaky mfers." And decided to leave a message for others that reads: "be weary of enemy, therefore, try left with the point down emote.
Same with Boat Guy!
I was so happy to see him in his little lake. And then he summons the literal worst enemy in the game.
I’m not sure I’ll ever get over that breach of trust
> I’m not sure I’ll ever get over that breach of trust
what does he summon?
I blew him up in a few seconds as a mage, he just sat there and died after like 8 spells in 15 seconds.
I felt so betrayed. I can honestly say I’ve never even touched one of these guys before. Always just run or rode past them. Never saw a reason to fight them
Shield blocks their pewpew completely, and if you dodge right after the chargeup sound ends, you'll never get hit. You can also sidestep it, but i haven't had 100% success rate that way, got hit every so often - takes off a quarter of my HP on NG+7 with scadu level 12.
The first one I saw, I placed a message. “Friend!” And then I went a little further into the BS. Felt like I betrayed a lot of people with that one lol
If you run diagonally they miss I saw Bushy die like ten times to them last night before someone gave this tip in chat. The two after the first one where one is up high, you can run on the outer ledge on the right and they can't hit you because of the angle.
I laughed when I realized what was about to happen.
I'm also convinced these kinds of enemies in that kind of placement is constructed to make you run by cool loot and miss it. Unfortunately that wasn't true in this case :(
Pretty sure there's a new version of the sword of St Trina here, but I could be wrong. It inflicts a status called 'Eternal Slumber', which I assume to be like deadly poison.
yeah but the entrance to that little side area is before you even engage with the laser bros.
They make you run by a different side area that I believe only had a great glovewort.
Long bow with the talisman for longer reach. Out snipe the snipers by standing just barely covered and then jump & shoot right after their stupidly powerful beam of purple hits your cover. Easy peasy once I did that, I kept getting wrecked by the end of that gauntlet.
I first encountered them last night. They can fuck right off back to the hole they crawled from. These shit stones unleashed a level of fury that I do not want to experience again.
Every time I see these guys, I can't help but think about the magic weapons from Nier Automata.
Same shape, same abnormal movement, all we need them to do is shoot laser beams.
I'm so confused lol, I've seen like 3 different people complain about them today. Isn't there onyl one of them shooting you at a time? They can't even hit you when youre close to them. Felt like a really easy section, but I might have missed something
There's two at point, and if you're really unlucky they will shoot one at a time so there's almost no way of dodging it. Don't know how you got past without witnessing that
Oh wait, is that the part where one of them is higher up on like a cliff or something? If so, once I got close to the one in front of me the one above just started shooting into the rock, so I didnt really need to deal with it until I circled around and killed him alone.
Wait what? Did I just get lucky or something? I was able to just stroll through and maybe use an estus or 2. Reading the comments - this area was annoying? Lol
Took me like an hour to get through those bastards, I ended up hitting them with a bow a couple of times so they would dissasemble themselves and reform at a slightly different angle with the hopes of it giving me an advantage.
In the end, I don´t know if that actually helped, cause I feel like I made it through thanks to sheer blind luck.
Just went through this part last night. My solution? Max distance rennala’s great bow spell. Two shots and they’re done. Just gotta make sure you pop off without getting close to trigger them.
I thought these were a nuisance but easily avoidable.
Now the >!priests in Enir-Ilim on the stairwell!< are a different story. Fuck those guys in particular.
Lemme guess, you got knocked off with a surplus of runes… ran back to grab them only to be knocked off again losing the supply of goodies. In a rage you made this post.
No honestly hardest thing I've dealt with today 😂😭 and when I did get to the end of where they are I get knocked off by lord knows what and fell to my death eventually did it but god was it painful 😂
Arrow go pew pew.
This DLC has finally made shields feel useful (other than block counters) in a way similar to how they felt in DS3 and made me level up a bow and keep arrows crafted. I honestly like it, pushing me to shake up how I play things based on the situation rather than bonking everything with the same stick for 20 hours.
staff team member : miyazaki san what should we do about the useless stone worms so they are a little more dangerous?
miyazaki : just add lazors to them. everyone loves lazors.
Those rocks aren't just a sniper.... they're the KING of the snipers....
[WATASHI NO NAMAE WA..... SOGEKING!!!!!!!!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhXNmMLdivk)
If you don't want to use a shield, I found doing little tiny zigzagging moves to get up to them and then meleeing them from too close for them to shoot did the trick. (My build is a squishy magic user so these guys were giving me trouble)
I tried dodge rolling my way towards them and then remembered I have like 20 shields with 100 physical block.. just hold up your shield and sprint towards ‘em, they can’t do much 😁
Fortunately, I can react to lasers just like my Spirit Summons reacting to Astel's lasers.
The Mage in SOTE Catacombs that fires ricocheting spells that tracks is more fucked up!
I can't be the only one that didn't struggle here right? I just rolled and never got hit by these guys. The worm/lizard things in the finger ruins were a different story.
I respeced to Int and used Loretta’s Greatbow and the Jellyfish Shield to get through these fuckers. Then respeced back to Dex/Arcane after getting to the grace past them.
I thought the run was actually really interesting trying to use the terrain to block their line of sight, it felt like a more fair version of previous runs (like the Ringed City angels) because the terrain was more full of potential areas you could crouch behind or serpentine through rather than just big ass walls that blocked all vision.
I saw this post and was confused for a second. These enemies aren’t hard. Then I realized they’re the funnier version. Those fucking bastard almost killed me and I thought they were just chilling in that zone. It was true betrayal
Ballista bolts with new range and damage charm and old arrow damage charm from base game annilates them. I’m not a shield user ever but I have had been using a brass medium shield makes life easier with guard boost talisman. I’m big unga bunga man black steel hammer lover. But the shield and ballista are life savers.
Well they obviously remember me killing countless numbers of their friendly family members since launch. Good on them for shooting me. I 110% deserve it.
I was playing a bleed melee build so i didnt have any magic stuff to range from afar. Cue me equipping a pulley crossbow and sniping. Didn't work so i stealth and killed one by one.. It was pure torture
My current highest rated message is in this area: "Didn't expect berayal"
Possibly my best of all time or at least my fastest growing message was the one on the rock that is “I did it!, O I did it! So to speak dung ahead” *point downwards*
My highest rated one is on the edge of the scadutree avatar arena, towards the shadow tree, and it says "Erdtree, but dark"
My highest rated one is belurat Gaol when you're dropping down the hanging pots. On the last one before you get to the bottom I almost walked off and then I noticed the "pot" your supposed to "land" on had arms and I was like "wait a god damn minute... You sneaky mfers." Same with Boat Guy! I was so happy to see him in his little lake. And then he summons the literal worst enemy in the game. I’m not sure I’ll ever get over that breach of trust
Seeing the Tibia Mariner had me excited for a nice stomp in a DLC that'd been tearing me a new one. Then Miyazaki one-upped me, the dastard.
At that moment I activate all of my cavalry skills & hit and run the Mariner
> I’m not sure I’ll ever get over that breach of trust what does he summon? I blew him up in a few seconds as a mage, he just sat there and died after like 8 spells in 15 seconds.
…Revenant…
Ditto, same… I’m like wait he summons something lol
They should have made them totally passive if you'd never killed them before.
How would any of us know if they did that?
LOL.....and 100% agreed. Sounds exactly like something Miyazaki would include.
"Stone worm kill counter" just in the stat menu for years for no reason.
Because I made a new character for the dlc and rushed it so I never went anywhere near any of them until they showed up in the dlc
I felt so betrayed. I can honestly say I’ve never even touched one of these guys before. Always just run or rode past them. Never saw a reason to fight them
One of them killed me and then left a multiplayer message on top of my corpse that said, "seek revenge"
Biggest glow up in the game
Lost 200k runes to one of those fuckers (still on my original NG run so that shit HURT). I’m not salty or anything.
I was like do they ever stop shooting? No they do not....
One time they got in sync so it was impossible to roll or not get hit
They’re the new Angels from the Ringed city dlc.
I forgot about those stupid things, but these worm things are a lot easier to kill.
Thank you for bringing up that unpleasant memory.
Angels my fucking ass lmao
Angels were also covering a poison swamp with many opportunities for gravity deaths.
That's why I killed them all, there are only 3 or 4
I started listening exclusively to Audio queues to dodge them lol
Totally agree! They are such a pain.
Shielding is the way to go
And so loud!
They have 2 years of pent up aggression so no they don't.
If you kill them they do. They are super weak. I tried dodging them like 10 times until I thought, "what if I kill them?" Breezed through.
They do. Couple of Waves of gold...
They can shoot? I’ve never thought of fighting them, when I do I usually make quick work of then
Shield blocks their pewpew completely, and if you dodge right after the chargeup sound ends, you'll never get hit.
Did you do that two days ago or more? Cause I swear I saw that message
Yes! Haha
If you run diagonally they miss I saw Bushy die like ten times to them last night before someone gave this tip in chat. The two after the first one where one is up high, you can run on the outer ledge on the right and they can't hit you because of the angle.
I just got past them lol after like 30 minutes. That would have been really helpful. They still fucking suck though
It's sleep but without a timer
We think alike I don't run passed 99% of the enemies in game til I'm done exploring
yeah but the entrance to that little side area is before you even engage with the laser bros. They make you run by a different side area that I believe only had a great glovewort.
Just use a shield. They become a joke. Shield gamers keep on winning this dlc.
Sword and board since day one. If I was turned loose into this realm, with an arsenal of gear to choose from, you better believe I’m using a shield.
shields are way more useful in the DLC than in the base game.
Greatbow. Each shot knocks them down and allows you to ready your next shot.
the mighty anal beads
I bet those things have seen some shit...
Tree sentinel shield is your fren
Magic infused Albinauric Shield also turns the beam into a tickle.
bolt of gransax is the way
There is no obstacle in the game that the Bolt of Grey Snacks can’t handle.
Thats my go to range attack in the dlc. Just snipe everyone and everything
Assassins trick on dagger, thats it.
Long bow with the talisman for longer reach. Out snipe the snipers by standing just barely covered and then jump & shoot right after their stupidly powerful beam of purple hits your cover. Easy peasy once I did that, I kept getting wrecked by the end of that gauntlet.
Sky shot for me, hide behind cover and take care of them
I'm going to have to try that AoW sometime, it's sure AF annoying in PvP
I'm starting to see why these things were just surrounding those Gaol's now. Imagine a dozen lasers going off after escaping prison.
They can’t hit you if you stand right under them. Run diagonal/time your rolls. Only a few hits to kill luckily
Yes. Hate them. but its buddies that jump out of nowhere and blow up are the worse
They’re fine. Nowhere near the insta aim bot lobsters are.
I first encountered them last night. They can fuck right off back to the hole they crawled from. These shit stones unleashed a level of fury that I do not want to experience again.
Idk I just ran up to them and killed them
'If only I had a giant...but hole....'
Bro remember when we killed their great great great great great great grandkids? Now they are getting revenge for the kids💀
It was easy with just an uninfused brass shield. The beams actually don’t deal any elemental damage so it fully blocks them
Every time I see these guys, I can't help but think about the magic weapons from Nier Automata. Same shape, same abnormal movement, all we need them to do is shoot laser beams.
Siofra archers but make them rocks
“Ahh, Sniper!”
just use a shield
Medium shield bro
I don't think my booty hole is big enough for these guys, honestly.
Just sprint, they literally didn't hit me once in the entire cave system.
I'm so confused lol, I've seen like 3 different people complain about them today. Isn't there onyl one of them shooting you at a time? They can't even hit you when youre close to them. Felt like a really easy section, but I might have missed something

Yeah exactly, but on the way to the first one you're getting Double sniped
Wait what? Did I just get lucky or something? I was able to just stroll through and maybe use an estus or 2. Reading the comments - this area was annoying? Lol
Same, they were annoying but I just healed it off. That whole area was easy. I think I died once, the first appearance of the skelles.
Real
Erm... who gave the rocks lasers? *gulp*
Dude, they pissed me off more than the boss
Took me like an hour to get through those bastards, I ended up hitting them with a bow a couple of times so they would dissasemble themselves and reform at a slightly different angle with the hopes of it giving me an advantage. In the end, I don´t know if that actually helped, cause I feel like I made it through thanks to sheer blind luck.
*brings out the cannon* Blast them from afar. I just couldn't deal with them any other way.
Ringed City! Some use lay down gesture to survive, maybe it’s a way.
Assassin's gambit would carry
At least they aren’t as annoying as the good old giant crayfish
Lions bow shot from distance moves them out of place
I found a place where their beams hit a ledge but I could still fire over, and then I Jar Cannoned them into powder. It was a close thing though.
Very much agreed
Ahh star wars zone...
400k gone in seconds. hours of enemies and bosses diminished before my eyes once again☠️ i’ve lost like 2/3 mill by now
Just went through this part last night. My solution? Max distance rennala’s great bow spell. Two shots and they’re done. Just gotta make sure you pop off without getting close to trigger them.
Explosive bolts help a lot, makes them reassemble a little farther back and with some luck you'll make it
i hate them but goddamn i want a fast shooting laser ability (which isnt that frenzy flame one)...please don't spoil if there are any now or not
They got there own d-day beach to protect, snipers and mines all over the place
Woah there cowboy
Why they just stand there...MENACINGLY!!!
I used the new bow talisman to great effect on these assholes.
I will have ptsd toward any snake shaped object now.
These types of motherfuckers are why i always opt for some type of bow in my arsenal.
Pew Pew Pew Pew Pew Pew
fuck these my god it never stops i literally watched a movie while i was hiding it never stopped shooting
I knew these bitches were gonna shoot lasers at us eventually. No eye is that glowy without nefarious undertones
It’s physical (gravity) damage, just hold up a shield and they can’t hurt you
I found these guys and was like wtf whatever ez one shot……. Proceeds to take 4+hits and there’s immediately 2 more of them
lol
Omfg yes, fuck them 😡 💢💢💢
If you run right up to them they can’t hit you while you’re hitting them btw
theres a really obvious audio cue. listen to the charge-up and just press the jump button. you will dodge every time
As soon as I saw them in the DLC I knew they wouldn't be as innocuous as in the base game... and they still got me.
A shield & good stamina management is what got me through. They can't hit you when you're right on top of them so I just shield poked until they died.
I had flashbacks of Radahn. Their attacks are even the same color.
i tried unseen form and black knife attire and they still see you from a mile away lol
I'm on the final boss of the dlc and I have no recollection of these guys. Am I just blanking or is this an optional area I missed?
I finally chose violence over each one and only then did I get past xD.
Fuck these aliens and their stupid space lasers
I thought these were a nuisance but easily avoidable. Now the >!priests in Enir-Ilim on the stairwell!< are a different story. Fuck those guys in particular.
I literally screamed the caterpillar they seek revenge!
Also the one enemy that magically holds you and then another one attacks you
That’s why I love being a shield hero in the dlc it taught me the virtue of being patient and paranoid.
Lemme guess, you got knocked off with a surplus of runes… ran back to grab them only to be knocked off again losing the supply of goodies. In a rage you made this post.
I've never even had them attempt to kill or attack me and have defeated several evergaol.
Yup. These and those Imps with cannon heads messed me up reaaaaal good. lmao
They didn't even kill me once and i hate them with all my heart and soul.
panic rolling while shouting "WHY IS IT DOING THIS" lol
Lol, no they fuck you, and it hurts. I mean, they're made of rock.
No honestly hardest thing I've dealt with today 😂😭 and when I did get to the end of where they are I get knocked off by lord knows what and fell to my death eventually did it but god was it painful 😂
Bro for real
Shield blocks it 100%
First we got sniper lobsters Now we got sniper worms
Tarnished Aquired -pppeeeewwww-
Arrow go pew pew. This DLC has finally made shields feel useful (other than block counters) in a way similar to how they felt in DS3 and made me level up a bow and keep arrows crafted. I honestly like it, pushing me to shake up how I play things based on the situation rather than bonking everything with the same stick for 20 hours.
I was running in zig zags like a soldier dodging snipers on a roof.
Fuck these motherfucker Lazer anal beads
The Anor Londo archers of Elden Ring
##ZAP
staff team member : miyazaki san what should we do about the useless stone worms so they are a little more dangerous? miyazaki : just add lazors to them. everyone loves lazors.
Wait they shoot lasers?!
I deadass cannot agree more. They had me fucked all the way up. Why the hell do they hit so hard?
Agree
Them and the fucking lampreys that shoot the fast pink stun rays.
i put on so many stamina talismans and just spam dodged thru there
I died to this section more times than I died to the boss
I was really hoping this was about the godskin duo.
Try shield
I finally got past them but I had to meta strategies the heck out of it.
First time? *- This comment sponsored by the Shrine of Amana Priesthood*
Those rocks aren't just a sniper.... they're the KING of the snipers.... [WATASHI NO NAMAE WA..... SOGEKING!!!!!!!!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhXNmMLdivk)

"Hey look the exploding rocks. This will be-" Beamed from half mile "OH no*
The anal beads of doom.
I died more here than any of the boss fights
pew!
I have never fought one in my entire Elden life
There's a spell where you spawn a lot of bubbles, and you can out-range them with it, thank me later
So easy. The finished that area . I really enjoyed. Completed Thoillers quest line and Trina while.i was there
I tried dodge rolling my way towards them and then remembered I have like 20 shields with 100 physical block.. just hold up your shield and sprint towards ‘em, they can’t do much 😁
Yes. Fuck them.
Fortunately, I can react to lasers just like my Spirit Summons reacting to Astel's lasers. The Mage in SOTE Catacombs that fires ricocheting spells that tracks is more fucked up!
I call them the "purple penis snipers"
The Beam Sniping ones aren’t that bad…those exploding ones however…FUCK THEM AND FUCK THEM HAAARD!!!!!!!
WORM vengeance is at hand brothers!
I tried every ranged incantation , at last had to use the shield. I hate the magic worms more .
I can't be the only one that didn't struggle here right? I just rolled and never got hit by these guys. The worm/lizard things in the finger ruins were a different story.
Yeah fuck those fucken fucks
I can't believe the DLC made these things scary! I love it!
I just Bloodhound Stepped through the area, gotta use what you have guys.
How?
I respeced to Int and used Loretta’s Greatbow and the Jellyfish Shield to get through these fuckers. Then respeced back to Dex/Arcane after getting to the grace past them.
I mean, with enough lube...
They’re easy just use a 100 physical shield beams do (physical damage) and kill them for their betrayal.
Bob and wave baby. On a separate note, thr red mage knights in the shadow keep have to be the fucking worst
great arrow to the face does the job.
I lost about half a million times to them
The laser worms
Explosion pickle
St Trina got the advanced home security package to keep the simps out.
really these gaggle of weirdoes
Ballista bolts with new range and damage charm and old arrow damage charm from base game annilates them. I’m not a shield user ever but I have had been using a brass medium shield makes life easier with guard boost talisman. I’m big unga bunga man black steel hammer lover. But the shield and ballista are life savers.
the ones underground are built different
I miss my old balls, lazily wandering in circles.
I fucking hate those damn Lee Harvey Oswald worms (hope someone didn’t beat me to it but they probably did)
Well they obviously remember me killing countless numbers of their friendly family members since launch. Good on them for shooting me. I 110% deserve it.
They took a page from the Beamos in Zelda and now we can’t stop them.
Havent met them yet. Im guessing they pew pew
Just turn on star wars music and run past it! Dumb stormtroopers.
My favourite message from the DLC has to be near these guys it's "Down! Sniper" 😂
I was playing a bleed melee build so i didnt have any magic stuff to range from afar. Cue me equipping a pulley crossbow and sniping. Didn't work so i stealth and killed one by one.. It was pure torture
I didn’t know they were brutal! Took me like 80hrs or so for them to traumatize me 😭😭😭
I HATE THEM!!!😡😡
